    Schedule. There is no Section 114983-Ice Machines.

    2. Gymnasium Bleachers and Exterior Bleachers are listed in my SOW, but the spec sections are not listed in (line item A)

    a. Answer: See Drawing C906, Competition Softball Field Layout for exterior bleachers requirements.

    RFI 2

    1. Can we Waive the AISC certification? Or Can we at least submit proof our ability to perform required work.

    a. Answer: Requirement will be issued by this addendum for millwork to be made to AWI standards, but the supplier not required to be AWI certified.

    RFI 3

    1. The storage shed shown on A/422 is listed in col line A but no details in the SOW. What would we own on

    this building? I am assuming the DFH and coiling doors would be supplied, and we would install.

    a. Answer: Contract A-5 Carpentry is to provide storage building post frame construction including all coiling doors, install only of entry doors, all framing, concrete foundation, wood trusses, wall &

    ceiling insulation, metal roof, ceiling, siding and interior metal panel liner and plywood complete.

    5. I can’t seem to find any Mechanical screens. Please advise if they are in this project.

    6. On the book theft protection. I need to know the mounting method required as this affects pricing.

    a. Answer: Book Security Gates are to be directly attached to floor with all electric and data lines

    located within floor structure. Clarification will be issued by this addendum.

    7. Is there a spec for the exterior bleachers?

    a. Answer: See Drawing C906, Competition Softball Field Layout for exterior bleachers

    requirements.

    8. Spec 116613 Exercise Equipment, how many are needed? I see a detail on A512 but no reference on any

    Elevations.

    a. Answer: See 9/A704 for dance barre location.

    9. Residential Appliances 113013 Both Items are discontinued need model numbers for alternate items

    a. Answer: By this addendum, appliance model numbers will be revised and noted they are

    NIC and given for coordination purposes only.

    10. 102213 Wire Mesh Partitions There is no reference in the partition list for these. Are they fencing or interior

    partitions?

    a. Answer: See Section 102213 Wire Mesh Partitions. By this addendum, these will be located in

    Storage D105.

    11. Specification 101416A; a second plaque spec but it has no dimensions and no materials.

    a. Answer: Specification 101416A is simply an attachment to 101416, as noted under the 3.4

    Plaque Schedule.

    12. I’m looking at the drawings and there is refrigerators and washer & Dryers who are they by and if us we need

    specs.

    a. Answer: Refrigerators and washers and dryers are NIC. Clarification will be issued by

    this addendum.

    1. The Construction Manager General Conditions part 16.i says that each contractor is to pay for all power

    consumed. How is this going to be practical to keep separate electric meters for each of the 21 bid packages?

    Please delete this item.

    a. Answer: Delete reference for each contract to pay for their own electric; School District will pay for

    only power consumed, not the power hook up.

    2. In the carpentry scope item J, please confirm that “projection monitoring brackets” should read” projector

    mounting brackets.”

    a. Answer: Yes, that is correct

    3. Carpentry scope item X calls for providing “projection scissor lift.” Please explain what this means.

    a. Answer: See Sheet A303 in cafeteria, Sheet A305 in gym, Sheet T101D & Sheet T101E.

    4. Carpentry scope item RRR calls for providing “dance barre in black box.” Please explain what this is referring

    to.

    1. SOW DD/ LL – Confirm all sitework testing is by the site contractor.

    2. SOW item R – confirm extend of sitework scope related to gas line installation.

    a. Answer: Refer to Gas Service Construction Notes G-1, G-2 & G-3 located on Sheet C-302.

    3. Confirm SOW items for sitework for courtyard.

    a. Answer: Site work for courtyard should include all grading, drainage utilities, perimeter concrete sidewalk, pavers and landscaping. Greenhouse is by Contract A-5 Carpentry, concrete for

    greenhouse is by Contract A-2 Concrete, masonry for greenhouse is by Contract A-3 Masonry,

    concrete walls and steps is by Contract A-2 Concrete Work, refer to sheet A421 and landscape plans

    for greater detail.

    4. SOW EEE – refers to tennis and pickle ball courts, are these in our scope? And is so, where are they located?

    a. Answer: See revisions to Summary of Work.

    5. Confirm that SOW items GGG, FFF and III are alternate items of bid per the bid form and should not be in

    our base bid.

    a. Answer: Confirmed, review alternates description in section 012300 Alternates.

    6. Does alternate five include D areas of work?

    a. Answer: Alternate Five is to provide natural grass in “D” areas at stadium. Alternate Six is to

    provide turf with high jump pad and curbing, as designed in lieu of natural grass.

    7. Should all items of work list all subs and second tier subs to our bid list?

    a. Answer: See Subcontractor listing clarification in Addendum 1.

    RFI 9

    1. The architectural millwork spec calls for AWI certification of the supplier. This requirement extremely limits

    competition so we would suggest that the spec be changed to say that the millwork will be made to AWI

    standards, but the supplier is not required to be certified.

    a. Answer: Requirement will be issued by this addendum for millwork to be made to AWI standards, but

    the supplier not required to be AWI certified.

    RFI 10

    1. Drawing A430 detail 9, which contract owns SS Counters and SS Trim?

    a. Answer: Contract A-5 Carpentry & General Work.

    2. Drawing A430 notes vinyl siding on detail 4 calls for metal siding, detail 8 at gables. Please advise.

    a. Answer: There is no note on 4/A430 designating vinyl siding. Please make sure you are looking at

    Bid Set. Wall Section 8/A430 is correct.

    3. Will roofing contractor be responsible for 5 ½ roof insulation and stand seam room as noted Drawing A430

    details 8?

    a. Answer: Yes, Contract A-6 Roofing Work is to provide.

    4. Drawing A101F Patient care equipment, will this be only in exam rooms at nurses and health science?

    a. Answer: Two Patient-Bed Service Walls (PBSW) Headwall Systems are located only at the cubicles

    in Health Sciences C131. See 12/A702. A specification clarification will be issued by this addendum.

    5. Drawing A420 detail 4F, will contract 4 supply & install steel beams?

    a. Answer: Contract A-4 Steel Work to supply & Contract A-5 Carpentry & General Work to install. .

    RFI 11

    1. Finish schedule shows HPC-1 but the finish legend doesn’t show what that is.

    a. Answer: The Finish Legend designation EP-1 (High Performance Coating) will be revised to HPC-1 by this addendum.

    2. Finish schedule shows wood, but the finish legend doesn’t show what that is.

    a. Answer: See Section 064023-Interior Architectural Woodwork. Clarification will be issued by addendum.

    3. SOW calls for FRP none shown on drawings. Please confirm there is no FRP in this project.

    a. Answer: There is no FRP in the project.

    RFI 12

    1. We are interested in bidding the project in the CSD project, but I’m wondering if a test bore has been drilled

    for the geothermal project? If so, is there data available for this bore, particularly a drill log?

    a. Answer: See Spec Section 009399-Geotechnical Reports (Boring Logs).

    RFI 13

    1. Verify that A-13 contractor is responsible to furnish and install the stainless steel casework and counters at

    a. Answer: An elevation will be issued by this addendum.

    7. Scope A-13 lists media center shelving, but none is shown. Advise if media center shelving is intended to be

    part of the project.

    a. Answer: Media Center shelving is NIC.

    8. Verify that 5-knuckle hinges are intended for the 123216 casework. Specification lists both 5knuckle and

    frameless concealed hinges.
