The DRS CTM-100/P (850) Tactical Fiber Optic Modem is adual-port modem that converts between serial Non-Returnto Zero (NRZ), Conditioned Diphase (CDI) and the CanogaPerkins (CP) Fiber Optic Modem (FOM). The CTM-100/P(850) includes a new fiber optic interface (850 nm) andsoftware modifications to accommodate the Canoga Perkinswaveform which offers interoperability with the CP 2270(850 nm) FOM.
The CTM-100/P (850) provides the functionality of theCP 2270 in a preferred form factor which can lead to agreater than 50% space savings. In addition to the basicCP 2270 functionality, the CTM-100/P (850) providesadditional capabilities. These include support of ConditionedDiphase Interface (CDI), a large range of supported NRZprotocols, on-board Bit Error Rate Test (BERT) software, local and remote loopbacks plus a more functional userinterface through the front panel or with the Command LineInterface (CLI).
The CTM-100/P (850) also meets superior environmentalstandards including temperature range, shock and vibe whilemaintaining the reliability as a trusted converter in themilitary market.
