review course for AFP’s Certified Treasury Professional exam

• Student Learning Outcomes• Students will learn how to prepare for and

pass the CTP exam

• Required Text• Essentials of Treasury Management, 3rd

Edition (ETM3); published by the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP)

ExpectationsTo successfully prepare for this exam,

you should plan on spending 4-5 hours per module or a total of 48 – 60 hours

This time should be spent:◦ Reading the text (ETM3)◦ Reviewing the lecture notes and other

supporting materials◦ Viewing the streaming video presentations◦ Participating in live Web sessions◦ Working with other students in groups◦ Taking and reviewing the results of the

practice tests


Typical Questions

Do I need to cover the 12 modules over a 12-week period?

Do I have to attend the live on-line sessions?

What if I’m having trouble with particular concept or area?

I’ve already taken and not passed the CTP exam 1 or more times, how is this preparation different?


12 Modules/Weeks?

You do not need to cover the modules over a

12-week period, they can be done on a more

compressed basis if necessary

We do suggest you plan on spending at least 4-

5 hours per module in reviewing and studying

the materials

The live on-line sessions will generally start

about 10 weeks before the opening of the exam

window, but they will be recorded for those who

are covering the material at a later date


Attendance at Live On-Line Sessions

The live on-line sessions are optional and will usually start about 10 weeks before the opening of the exam window

They are designed to provide additional information on the materials and answer questions from students on their exam preparation

All sessions will be recorded for those who are unable to attend


Having Trouble!!!

We are more than happy to discuss any particular questions or issues you have during the live on-line sessions

We will also respond quickly to any questions sent to us via e-mail

Many of the questions we receive will be added to an FAQ list that will available to all the students

Where possible, discussion forums for various exam topics will be set up


This is Not my First Time with this Exam

Many CTP candidates have had difficulty in passing the exam, you are not alone!!

Our approach in the this course is different from the typical exam prep

We want you to understand how the exam is developed and how to best interpret all the different types of questions on the test
