1.Foreword

We would like to think about agriculture today. It’s “Agriculture” in English. It’s a

compound word made of two words: “agri” and “culture.” “Agri” refers to soil or

earth, “culture” refers to cultivate your mind, that is to say “Culture.” When they

are put together, it means “culture of soil.” We cannot produce trace element

“minerals” inside our bodies. Inorganic cannot be made out of organic.

“Minerals” are originally abundant in soil, in earth. Plants absorb and store them.

Human beings absorb minerals in our bodies by eating these plants. The amount of

minerals in a human body is less than 0.04%, but they are parts of our body fluid

including blood and compose the oxygen at the same time. If our bodies stop

producing the oxygen, we would die in a few seconds. Oxygen is required in many

areas in order to produce vitamin, hormone and so on.

They say that there are as many as six billion cells in our bodies and they need a

great amount of hydrogen ion. This is generally produced from water and it cannot

be produced in a human body. We get this from plants, too. Therefore, there is a

close correlation between plants and our bodies.

In other words, the quality of plants is equal to the quality of our health. In recent

years, the number of regressive diseases has been on increase, such as cancer,

diabetes, dermatitis, arteriosclerosis, heart diseases and ateliosis.

This is caused by the fact that we cannot take in enough minerals from vegetables

and fruits we consume daily. We cannot produce any vegetables rich in minerals

because of modern chemical fertilizer and pesticides.

The soil (earth) is contaminated and deteriorated by the overuse of chemical

fertilizer and pesticides. The quality of soil affects the quality of plants and the

quality of plants affects our bodies. We have mentioned agriculture is to cultivate

soil in the foreword.

Page 5: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

4

If a question is made for the meaning of agriculture, we should answer by saying

that it concerns our blood, our flesh, our livers and lungs.

And in the end, it concerns the lives of our children, our grandchildren. Agriculture

is a very sacred vocation where you “cultivate the soil as if you cultivate your soul.”

However, the modern agriculture takes advantage of pesticides and chemical

fertilizers, and it pursues economic rationality. The original meaning of agriculture

has been forgotten. This leads to the destruction of the soil, plants and human

beings. It is a very difficult task to repair something broken. It is much more

challenging if the task is a global size.

That doesn’t mean that we should just keep waiting. We should do our best to repair

in order to save the lives of grandchildren. The story of the restoration we are about

to tell you now dates further back. Sixty-five years ago, we predicted the present

state and we have been doing researches. This is the most precious agricultural

technology for all of us. We are currently making various tests to make it

user-friendly in every part of the world. Let us tell you this story…

2.About soil (earth)

In the previous chapter, we stated that plants, with some exceptions, are rooted in

soil and they take what is necessary from the soil. We also mentioned that the

quality of soil determines the quality of plants. (The quality of water determines the

quality of plants in case of aquaculture). Here, we are going to refer to how the soil

is made where plants grow and how it works.

(1)The history of the earth

They say that the earth was created about 4.6 billion years ago. It is said to be a

planet of water and it is the only planet in the solar system where creatures are

living, but 4.6 billion years ago, it was a planet of fire and heat with exploding

magma. At that time, planetesimals were colliding against the earth and every

collision splashed water vapor by collision degassing and the earth was surrounded

by it. However, as the collisions by planetesimals stopped and the earth started to

get colder, the water vapor around the earth changed and started to fall down to the

earth all at once.

4.5 billion years ago, the one and only planet with water world in the solar system

was born. The sea is believed to be about 1.3 billion 7000 km3. In those years, there

were thunderstorms over the sea and the lunar gravity made several meter-high

waves hit rocks. This produced the ocean that is like soup filled with inorganic ion

(mineral ion).

Later on, the world with inorganic compounds lasted about one billion years, and

organic was gradually born out of inorganic. 3.5 billion years ago, life forms were

born for the first time inside the ocean. One of the proofs that our ancestors, little

microbes, were born in the ocean is that our body fluid is very similar to element

content of the sea water. (Ref. 1)

On lands, magma exploded and went up in the air through mantles and it cools down on

the surface and becomes igneous rocks. This repeated itself and the land expanded

gradually. The rocks are believed to become granulated, they became regolith by

going through breaking, erosion, moving and deposition. The formation of land that

started 4 billion years ago required 2 billion years before it got stable. However, the

condition was too harsh for any life forms to live and there was an endless surface

where bare rocks and regolith produced by weathering were only to be seen. The

strong ultraviolent rays were falling on the land and there was no food. The

Page 7: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

6

environment was not at all suitable for survival.

The observation of creatures based on their fossils 3.5 billion years ago tells that

most of them were bacteria and algae. It was unlikely that they could survive the

severe conditions on the land. However, some algae can compose life forms, provided

that they have “carbon dioxide” “nitrogen gas” and inorganic matter in the earth.

They could live for a short time even in that barren world. Had they been able to

live for a short time, they could have left their dead bodies for their successors to

consume. It took microbes much more time to form spores inside their cells. They

gradually succeeded in extending their stay on lands despite their incomplete methods.

They repeated their attempts for landing and found their living space inside regolith in

spite of strong radiation, aridity and hunger on the surface of the earth.

The broken rocks became granulated and there were spaces of all sizes inside the

accumulated regolith, rainwater was kept in them, although not as much as in the

ocean. Furthermore, inside the regolith close to the surface, there was also some air

with oxygen. There was some comfortable space where there was no strong

radiation ray. They could survive the starvation because of the dead bodies of their

companies falling down from the surface.

As we mentioned before, microbes and algae are the tough creatures that have been

able to survive till now for 3.5 billion years. Their features are as follows:

(1) They can create organic matter out of inorganic.

(2) They can take advantage of the compound organic matter.

(3) They can re-use the dead bodies of their companions.

Their existence created the second biosphere as important as the sea. We would call

this pedosphere. The microbes that lived inside the underground space regolith

chemically weathered the rocks and produced the soil mixed with organic and

inorganic matter. It took about 100 million years before good soil was produced. By

that time (About 4 hundred million years ago), spore bearing plants, such as fern,

appeared. About three hundred million years ago, seed plants were born and insects

and worms started to come onto the surface of the earth. In the beginning, the

plants growing along the shores gradually spread widely and covered the most of

the land. In the places where the plants grew, organic matter accumulated because

of the dead bodies of the moving plants and animals that depend on them were born.

At the same time, in the underground, the functions of roots helped microbes to

expand their territories. The harmony of plants, animals and microbes in the soil

was established and became richer.

(2) About the elements of the soil

a. Rocks

The soil consists of the main element, rocks (mineral) and what is called humic

substance. Rocks can be divided into stones being more than 2 mm in diameter

and fine soil less than 2 mm in diameter. The fine soil can be divided into three: 1.

clay 2. silt 3. sand, according to the degree of the fineness. The silt and sand are

made of silica SiO2. Silica is highly unbreakable and angular in shape, so it doesn't

connect closely, producing some space. Clay is long believed to be made of finer silt

and sand, but it has now been proved that it is made of mineral that is different

from silt and sand. The raw material for clay is what is decomposed of feldspar and

volcanic glass by carbonic acid rain.

Page 9: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

8

It is very important as a soil element because it can attract ion in the water of the

soil.

One of the features of the clay is that it has electric charge on its surface and it

absorbs ion in the water of the soil. Clay always preserves the ion, such as calcium,

magnesium and potassium. Plants receive ion in exchange of hydrion via their roots.

Furthermore, even if strong acid, alkali or heavy metal go into the soil, clay has

chemical flexibility not to change the solution density in the soil drastically.

b. Humic substance

There are unknown things about the humic substance, but it works as follows. Dead

bodies of animals and plants are constantly provided to the soil from the surface

and dead bodies of soil organisms are provided in the underground. These organic

substances are made of carbon hydrate, fat, protein and lignin, they are decomposed

by many kinds of microbes living in the soil. In the final stage, they are decomposed

into carbon dioxide, water and ammonia. Numerous intermediate products are

made in its process. Humic substance is basically a mixture of microbes,

metabolism-induced substance produced in the decomposition of intermediate

products not decomposed and a small amount of element (inorganic substance).

Humic substance is divided into rough state mor and mull, which is in the

completed humic state of clay. Mull is black and exists as if it covers sand or silt. It

is not completely decomposed and electronically unstable. So it has power to absorb

and preserve a large amount of ion.

c.Water (Soil Water)

The water in the space of silt is not so called pure water.

It can be called ion water, containing positive ion, such as calcium, ion, natrium ion,

calium ion, manganese ion and negative acid, such as sulfuric acid, carbonic acid,

phosphoric acid. (This is just like mineral ion soup similar to sea water). This kind

of water exists, attaching to silt space or around humic substance like water film. As

we have mentioned earlier, the soil area is complicated in its construction as seen in

silt whose space is narrow, small like clay or these two showing sticking structure.

It can be basically said that water exists in this space. Water, of course, comes in

and out of the soil incessantly. There are times when all the space is filled with

water, and there are also times when the space is completely dry without any water.

However, the soil is in the condition as shown below, and it doesn't let water flow out

all at once.

d. Air

The air in the soil is high in carbon dioxide for the plants to breathe. (1 to 5% right

beneath the root areas of the plants) The oxygen is comparatively less. The water

vapor, excluding the one in the surface, can be said to be saturated. In short, the soil

is composed by the framework of minerals with humic substance and space. In other

words, we can say it is made of soil particles, water (soil water) and soil air.

The chart below shows how they are distributed.

3. The creatures of the pedosphere

(1)Animals of the pedosphere

The classification of the creatures of the pedosphere is as follows:

(Animals of the pedosphere)

(1) Gigantic soil animals: moles, shrewmouse, etc

(2) Large soil animals: worms, galley worms, sow bugs, termites, ground beetles, etc

(3) Small soil arthropods: springtails, orbatids, spiders, japygids, etc

(4) Small soil hygrocoles: water worms, eelworms, rotifers, etc

(Soil microbes)

(1) algae: green algae, blue algae, diatom

(2) filamentous bacteria: soil-living filamentous bacteria, plant root-living

filamentous bacteria

(3) Protozoa:flagella, ameba

(4) bacteria: independent trophocytes, subordinate trophocytes, actinomycete

Though they are many*, their sizes being small, they don't amount to 10% in all the

minerals in the soil.

*water worms, eelworms (Small soil hygrocoles) : hundreds of thousand to hundreds

of million/m2

Microbes (bacteria) : one hundred million to one billion/g

Chart 4 Various small animals

All these numerous creatures, with the plants as their starting point, are eating

other and move the food energies. This is called the food chain, but the details are

unknown because of its complexity which is like a net of various groups of creatures.

However, the tasks are clearly defined as follows: decomposing the plants bodies

(dead leaves and branches), decomposing the humic substance made of the dead

bodies of animals and decomposing the dead bodies of the soil animals only.

A worm is a typical creature in the soil animals.

The followings are the necessary conditions for worms to live:

(1) There is enough food (organic matters).

(2) The temperature is appropriate.

(3) pH is appropriate.(They don’t like less than pH 4.5.)

Worms create tunnels and bring in the organic matters from the surface into the soil

and mix them with inorganic matters. They are cultivating the soil and swallow lots

of organic matters with the soil. They decompose them in their bodies and excrete

them with the soil. They are so-called lumps of dung. The amount annually reaches

20 to 40 tons per 1ha in the meadows in the temperate regions.

This is just like cultivating the soil.

These lumps of dung will be food for the other small soil animals and the microbes.

This will be the breeding grounds. When they die, their dead bodies will be eaten by

microbes and be sources of nutrition of plants. Ants, chafers and larvae of cicadas do

the same. The chart below shows the codification of what a worm does in the soil

(2)The shining pedosphere

The earth is beautiful and it is the only planet in the solar system with life forms.

The soil is another world where another life is very active, like the oceans. The soil

grows crops, but at the same time, it purifies feces. The soil works as “production

system”… We, human beings and animals, cannot produce organic matter out of

inorganic matter. We are destined to live, depending on the creatures which can,

that is to say, the plants. It is the soil or the earth where the plants can obtain all

the elements except for the carbon dioxide. They live on the place with the

extremely dedicate and fortunate balance, where many kinds of soil creatures and a

vast amount of microbes are living in four types of pores and mineral ores (the soil

rich in minerals, sand, silt and clay.) Another function of the soil is to be the final

market where it deals with the infinite organic matter produced by the production

of crops, animals which obtain energies from plants and their dead bodies, and the

feces or dead bodies (organic matter) of predators.

It is an elaborate and also dynamic underground factory, turning organic matter

into inorganic matter (mineral ion) without making any noise or odor.

What is the pedosphere?

First of all, it should be regarded as a living world. We should think that it is

working on its own order. The destruction by the nature cannot be helped, but the

destruction by the human beings should be minimized, so the loss of the pedosphere

can be avoided. It is protected by the extremely delicate balance.

Once that is lost, it would be impossible to get it back. The modern agriculture

succeeded in increasing the harvest temporally with the help of pesticides and

chemical fertilizers. However, we cannot get healthy plants, and it is the major

cause for our health risks. In the near future, the soil could be lost for good and it

will be barren forever. I will repeat at the end of the pedosphere. We shouldn’t forget

that “Healthy life” comes from “healthy crops” and “healthy crops” comes from

“healthy soil.”

(3) Japanese soil

When the soil is said to be rich, it means that the there are many kinds of microbes. As I

mentioned before, the soil is the place with rocks, stones and the space. It is also the

place with water and air, where many soil organisms and microbes are active and the

dead creatures (animals, plants and microbes) are recycled.

Furthermore, I said before that the microbes support plants and soil organisms are also

Page 17: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

16

their supporters. It is "a diversity and activity value diagram" that shows in numbers

the diversity of the microbes and how they decompose organic substance. The number

indicates that the average value in Japan is 790,000 (the maximum is 2,160,000). They

say that the diversity and the active value are the highest in the world.

The reasons can be found in the fact that Japan has a lot of forests, the rainy climate

and the high humidity help plants grow easily. Another reason is that natural manure

(dead plants and animals) can accumulate quickly with the minerals fully provided by

the volcanoes. The diversity and activity value is about 10,000 in the overseas soil of the

massive chain of genetically-modified soybeans. The Japanese soil is extremely rich,

however, the long use of chemical fertilizer and pesticide will reduce the number of

microbes and cause the disease and insect damage. Caution is required. We are now

aware of the fact that when the diversity and the active value of microbes is 1,300,000

against 610,000, the plants can be grown twice as much and the rate of crisis can be

reduced from 100% to 19%. The soil condition in Japan is far better than countries like

China, Mongolia or far-away South America. But why do we have to import a large

quantity of vegetables and fruits? We should think why that is.

(4) Climate and soil

a. soil in cold climates

Due to the low temperature, the production of organic matter by plants on the surface is

low. The organic matter left undecomposed and corrosion accumulate and the soil

surface looks black. (A layer)

Inorganic component which is generally hardly soluble by the organic matter made by

microbes in A layer moves into lower layer (B layer), so it looks gray. In the needle leaf

tree area in the north of Hokkaido in particular, A layer is completely white because

alumina and iron oxide in A layer dissolve and move into B layer. This happens due to

the fact that alkaline component is rare in the leaves of needle leaf trees, and the acid

corrosion is formed. "Podsol soil."

A pit is dug up in order to observe the soils closely. The layers of soil are visible. Several

layers can be observed. They are called horison. The different characters of layers can

be divided into colors. The upper layer A (base material + corrosion) is separated from

the layer B (group layer made of brown weathering caused by free iron generated by

base material corrosion or materials flowing out of the layer A.)

Page 18: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

17

b. soil in mild climates

The plants grow well and the soil creatures are very active. The formation of corrosion

by microbes is making progress and layer A is getting black. CO2 produced by the soil

creatures dissolves in the water and becomes carbon oxide. The carbon oxide has a low

degree of ionization, so inorganic matter dissolves only a little. As time goes by, layer A

and B are formed. They are rich soils. The colors are either gray or brown,

brownish-yellow or yellow in mild climate areas.

c. soil in tropical climates

It is very rainy and humid in tropical and sub-tropical areas. The production amount of

organic matter is plenty, but the microbes that can decompose this are very active, so

organic matter doesn't remain as corrosion. Therefore, the soil layer is thin. Despite the

thin layer of soil, plants can grow rapidly because of the great amount of nutrition

produced by the decomposition of the microbes in the jungle and the abundant solar

energy. Once the large region of the jungle is cut down, only grass will grow after the

trimming. The thin soil layer can result in the flow of the topsoil when it rains. The soil

in this region is deep red. This is called laterite soil, made by the residue of iron and

aluminium (red iron oxide, aluminium hydroxide). Aluminium ion is extremely harmful

for plants and microbes. It must be kept far away from them.

4.Microbes

(1)Microbes and plants

Microbes are generally called “cleaners of the earth.” Because they do the work not

only by decomposing the humic substance, the dead bodies of animals or plants and

feces, but also by making organic matter inorganic. (From now on, we call inorganic

matter mineral ion*.) *Here, mineral indicates mineral matter, a trace element.

Plants usually absorb mineral ion via their roots from mineral ores in the soil. (sand,

silt and clay) All kind of minerals, including nitrogen, exist inside mineral ores.

However, mineral ion, being melt by carbon ion of raindrops is limited and it doesn’t

amount to the quantity required by the plants. In short, the supply speed doesn’t

catch up with the demand of the plants. Microbes, habitants of the soil, as

mentioned before, they decompose organic matter and produce mineral ion. They

give it to plants and produce carbonic acid and organic matter and melt the

elements they need in the mineral ores. It is a give and take function where

microbes obtain many kinds of nutrition produced by plants. Plants are composed of

cells. The half of cell membranes, nucleic acid (DNA, RNA), mitochondria, and

Page 19: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

18

chloroplast is made of protein. 16% is from nitrogen. The oxygen and hormone cruel

for the plants are also nitrogen compounds. In addition to the nitrogen, many

minerals are indispensable, such as sulfur, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium,

calcium, iron, copper, zinc, boron and molybdenum. As we mentioned before,

nitrogen is not included in the mineral ores. 78.1% of the air is nitrogen, but it

cannot be used because it is inert. Here comes in microbes.

They produce nitrogen by decomposing the humic substance that is organic element

of the soil and the dead bodies of animals or plants and feces. Plants can obtain

nitrogen by this route. The nitrogen has the following features:

1. Nitrogen compounds in the organic matters can be decomposed into ammonia by

microbes.

2. Ammonia can be decomposed into nitrite by microbes with special abilities.

3. Nitrite is absorbed into plants in the form of nitrite (No3-).

Nitrite ion carries a negative charge, so it doesn’t stick to mineral ores and melts in

the soil water and is immediately absorbed by roots. Nitrogen is an important

element for plants to grow. The absorption is fast and it runs out quickly. The

nitrogen in the air is used for supplement.

Despite the fact that the nitrogen covers the large part of the atmosphere, almost all

the creatures cannot take advantage of its abundance because of its striking

inertness. It is nitrogen fixing bacterium that activates this nitrogen and makes it

possible for plants to breathe. The aerobic is azotobacter and the anaerobic is

clostridium, to name a few. (both are a pea family)

These root nodule bacteria can decompose the nitrogen called nitrogenase and

stabilize it. They are attracted by certain mineral produced by the root of a plant

and they reach the root and start to grow there. Then, the bacteria enters the root

cells and form nodules. Along the both sides of the nodules, they extend their

vascular bundles. Through these bundles, plants provide microbes with nutrition

and energy.

The microbes which obtained energy in this way starts to stabilize the nitrogen.

(They need a great amount of energy in order to activate the inert nitrogen.)

The nitrogen fixing bacterium produces nitrogen gas by reducing or turns ammonia

into

Nitrite, or turns organic nitrogen into ammonia or humic substance. The nitrogen

fixing bacterium can decompose not only the nitrogen but also many other kinds of

organic matters. Through the process like this, plants can absorb minerals as ion,

Page 20: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

19

including the nitrogen into their bodies. This is another striking perverse aspect

that the nitrogen fixing bacterium possess. A pea family has bacteria they can live

with and a root vegetable family has its own to live with. They are extremely

selective. They will never live with a partner which has no affinities.

What we can say about the nitrogen can be said for phosphorus. Plants are like

mitochondria(similar to cell energy plant or a power plant) and they produce energy

called A.T.P (Adenosine diphosphate). This is the main power for cell activation. The

cell activation requires a large amount of phosphorus ion. This is also true not only

for the plants but also for the animals as well as human beings.

However, phosphorus is a relatively rare element in the universe and it doesn’t exist

in the air. Inorganic phosphorus could be in phosphoric ion in which the rainwater

solved some phosphoric ash stone contained inside the mineral ores. The

phosphoric acid doesn’t move around and when it is in crystal construction as in

phosphate, it can’t be solved in the water. Plants can’t absorb this at all.

If enough phosphorus is not provided, all the creatures must perish at that point.

Where does the phosphorus come from? The dead bodies of the animals including

organic phosphorus are the main providers of the phosphorus. Numerous microbes,

as we mention before, decompose the phosphorus. The materials absorbed by the

roots of the plants in the soil are prepared by microbes. These materials go out of

the soil via plants. The plants will be returned into the soil as dead bodies and will

be decomposed and reused by microbes. So-called food chain starts here. One

regulation is working inside the soil. If the speed for changing ammonia into nitrite

had been faster than the one of changing nitrite into nitrate, or if these microbes

had been programmed this way, harmful nitrite would have been accumulated and

the animals could not have developed like they did now. Of course, the mankind

could not have existed.

(2)The role of the microbes in the soil

In short, plants feed microbes and microbes feed plants. They are living together.

The modern agriculture which uses chemical fertilizers destroyed this relationship

similar to a romance.

5.Vegetables lack in minerals

(1)The McGovern Report

In 1973, in the U.S., there were illnesses whose causes or treatments are unknown

and many children were likely to suffer from them. Numerous cases of domestic

violence, frenzy and schizophrenia were also reported. Why did this happen? A

research committee was organized in the government in order to find out the reason.

That was

United States Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs, and a

senator, who was a candidate for a vice president of the United States, George

McGovern was nominated a chairman. The research team consisted of not only

American but also European doctors and scholars spend about two years, collecting

documents carefully and conduct an analysis and deduced one conclusion. At first, a

causal relationship was difficult to detect and they had a hard time, but a certain

clue was brought in to the committee and it could lead to a solution of the problem.

Violent criminals were reported to become calm like a normal human being after

one year imprisonment. A detailed research revealed the fact that most of them had

a very poor diet, consuming instant foods daily and almost all were chronically

suffering from the lack of minerals, especially, magnesium. They examined more

patients and found out that they had the same cause. This report is named the

McGovern Report after the chairman, the senator McGovern and it is available on

the Internet.

The followings are the conclusions of the McGovern Report.

1. The regressive illnesses, such as cancer, heart diseases, diabetes atopic

dermatitis and infarct or the frenzy and violent crimes can be caused by the

chronic lack of the minerals.

2. The chronic lack of the minerals was caused by the excessive consumption of

instant food or the overuse of chemical matters (pesticides and chemical

fertilizers).

3. The modern diseases like these cannot be cured by the surgeries or medicines.

4. The regressive illnesses called modern diseases can only be cured by the change

and the improvement of the diet.

The U.S. started to carry out a reform of the nutrition and the soil.

Page 25: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

24

The U.S. started a 100-year reform plan of the soil in order to protect the lives of the

Americans. They will practice agriculture free from pesticides and chemical

fertilizers and started to develop food supplements seriously in the meantime. The

standards for the organic vegetables in the U.S. are far more rigid than the Asian

countries. We know how serious they are in this cause. So, where on earth did

pesticides and chemical fertilizers go, now that they are no longer used in the U.S.?

They came to Japan, and then went to Korea and China. The amount of pesticides

used in China is unknown, the data is not available, but officially the worst 1 is

Korea and the worst 2 is Japan. Since the early 1970s, the import of pesticides and

chemical fertilizers from the U.S. drastically increased. It has been forty years since

the publication of the McGovern Report and the same thing is taking place now in

Japan. The medical cost in Japan is going up rapidly and it reached the highest four

billion yen this year (2015). This is an emergency where the half of the national

budget is being spent on the medical cost.

(2)Mineral Ion

The nutritious elements we need to lead a healthy life are: (1) carbohydrate (2)

protein (3) fat (4) vitamin (5) water and (6) mineral. When we look at our body in

terms of chemical elements, we have a relatively large amount of hydrogen (H),

nitrogen (N), carbon (C), calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), natrium (N), sulfur (S),

kalium (K), chlorine (Cl) and magnesium. 99.96% in our body is generally composed

of these elements and the rest by trace elements (minerals), for example, iron,

manganese, bronze, zinc, iodine, silicon, cobalt, molybdenum, selenium, nickel,

titan, chrome, arsenic, fluorine, rubidium, gallium, lead, cadmium, vanadium, gold,

silver, aluminum, lithium and etc…

These are the minerals which are less than 0.04% of the body weight, the creatures,

living on the earth, are programmed not to live without this small amount. These

minerals work as if they were “nails” or “nuts” or traffic lights of an intersection.

The followings are their specific functions:

Page 26: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

25

(1) The functions of the minerals

a. They produce and activate about 2700 to 4000 kinds of vitamin, hormone and

enzyme in a body.

b. They clean up cells.

c. They maintain body immune system.

d. They adjust the pH of blood and body fluid.

e. They adjust the osmotic pressure of cells.

f. They activate and revitalize the water in the body (blood and body fluid) which

covers up 65% of the body.

g. They communicate the nerve stimulus signals (pains or itches).

h. They discharge pesticides and medicines (chemical fertilizers).

i. They produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

j. They generate, preserve and transfer energy.

k. They provide the composition materials for the body.

The chronic lack of these minerals would result in the disorders of the body and

cause regressive diseases, illnesses of cells in the end. The chart below indicates the

relationships of the lack of minerals and the diseases.

The main functions of minerals are indicated in chart 1.

Minerals in a body cooperate with each other or reject each other under a rule and

perform important jobs involved in the body functions in general. Liebig in

Germany concluded that the growth and metabolism could be hindered by the lack

of one body minerals despite the abundance of the other minerals. This is called

Liebig’s law of minimum and can be shown as in the chart below.

The water cannot be kept beyond the height of K

(kalium) in this barrel. All the metabolism and

growth are controlled by K.

(3)Abnomal vesitable

“Illness” is caused by the abnormal metabolism of

the cells. The abnormal metabolism is caused by

the destruction of the mineral balance. Since old

times, they say that we should consume “produce

of the sea, the mountain and the field” and red,

black, white, green and yellow items” in good balance. These are the words of

wisdom for the prevention of the damage based on Liebig’s law of minimum.

Page 28: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

27

However, vegetables today don’t have enough mineral because of the effects by

pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Carrots or radishes of the old times didn’t go bad

easily, but the current ones go bad really quickly and melt away. Many people start

to realize what has been going on.

The chart below shows the comparisons of the vegetables made with pesticides and

chemical fertilizers. Vitamin C is the target for the comparison.

687.5 mg of vitamin C exists in 100 grams for tomatoes produced with pesticides

and chemical fertilizers. But the ones produced with pesticides and chemical

fertilizers contain less than 20mg. That is one-thirtieth. In order to obtain the same

amount of vitamin C, you have to eat thirty of them. Is this some kind of pollution?

Actually, the would-be male patients of osteoporosis are observed more in children

who are less than fifteen years old. There is a report that 12% male students have

the lower average rate than the female students. This is a very disturbing situation.

The processed foods and meat dishes promote the discharge of calcium. Calcium is

like a leader of the other minerals. When calcium is discharged, the other minerals

will follow and disappear.

An average red blood cell has more than 2.5 hundred million of hemoglobin. In order

to keep the normal rate, iron and vitamin B6 are essential. An intake of a lot of

minerals (especially magnesium) is necessary. Four hundred kinds of enzyme are

activated by this. Furthermore, many kinds of minerals are needed for the

production of A.T.P. As we mentioned in the chapter of the soil, vegetables must take

in these minerals from the soil. The metabolite (organic acid) dissolve and ionize the

minerals and provide them with the plants. The agricultural method of killing

microbes will naturally reduce the provision of the minerals. The quality and the

quantity of water must be guaranteed to provide plants with dissolved minerals.

Roots and fibrils must be stretched out into all possible directions for plants to

absorb them. Nature links all like an elaborate piece of machinery. All creatures

(animals, plants and microbes) can’t live without minerals. The animals in

particular can’t obtain minerals as ion from the soil. We have to obtain them via

plants. The plants get many things from the minerals in the soil. We have explained

what would happen if all microbes were to be killed with the pesticides in this

chapter. Cells will be sick due to the chronic lack of minerals, being unable to

provide what cells need. Naturally, human beings made of these cells will also get

sick. What is a reform of the agriculture? The normal mechanism has to be

established as soon as possible. We must reform the soil. As we mentioned in the

beginning, the agriculture is just not the quality of soil and plants, it is not the

improvement of production.

It is about our fresh, kidneys and lungs, it concerns our grandchildren. The

agriculture using pesticides will not only destroy our lives, but also our future. This

is a really serious issue.

(4)Diseases caused by the excessive elements (chemical fertilizers)

When chemical fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus and kalium) are given to the soil,

the roots of the plants absorb the nitrogen first. The plants use it to construct cells

such as cell membranes, D.N.A, RNA, chloroplast and mitochondria. Nitrogen,

being an element hard to acquire for plants in the nature, the maintenance program

makes them take in as much as possible when it is abundant in the soil. They take

in too much. The harvest is earlier in the green houses than in the open-air field,

the nitrogen remains unused as nitrate inside the plants. They are shipped to the

market as they are. When this goes into a human body, it will turn into the matter

called nitrosamine inside the digestive organ.

Page 30: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

29

The nitrosamine hinders the production of insulin, or oxidizes the hemoglobin in the

blood or hinders the provision of oxygen for cells. When this is connected to kidney

diseases with complications by diabetes, nitrate that can’t be discharged will turn

into nitrate poison and can be lethal for human beings. In Japan, the number of

patients on a kidney machine is increasing by ten thousand every year. As a matter

of fact, twenty thousand people die and the number is increasing by thirty thousand.

One patient on a kidney machine costs about six million yen, including the national

budget. Right now, there are thirty-two thousand patients in Japan. About two

trillion yen will be required. But this isn’t all. They say that there are about 12

million would-be patients in Japan. This is 10% of the whole population. The

increase started in the early 1970s. We don’t mention examples of other countries,

but the search results in the year 2013 of Sri Lanka show almost the same results.

The increase also started in the early 1970s. Sri Lanka’s population is about 20

million and 4.5 million people suffer from the kidney diseases. The rising curve

curiously matches with the one showing the used amount. It is said in general that

a fatal dose of nitrate is 5000mg/kg (ppm).

ECI standard demands to lower the amount less than 2500ppm. When the amount

goes beyond this number, vegetables will be dumped as contaminated. Please look

at the following chart. The Tokyo city government released the data.

Most of the vegetables go beyond EU’s standard. The nitrate content in case of bok

choy is three times as much as the lethal dose. 12 items out of 33 (about 27%)

contain the larger amount than the lethal dose. This is an emergency. Until now,

unless a causal relationship is clear, Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and

Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries were reluctant to do something.

However, facing the fact that the half of the national budget is spent for medical

service, they are finally starting to take some measures. Hopefully, this isn’t too

late.

Here is another document to back this up.

The number of the patients with chronic dialysis for every prefecture indicates that

the high number of dialysis patients in a prefecture strangely matches with a

prefecture where the green house cultivation is more common. We are not going into

the details here, but what the chemical fertilizers are doing is very clear. The same

phenomena can be observed in Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, the contamination of well

water (chlorine, arsenic) doesn’t match with the spread of the patients with kidney

diseases. It doesn’t match with the amount of pesticides being used. So the disease

is named C.K.D. (The cause is unknown.)

Page 33: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

32

There are people who will suffer from this disease and who won’t in a family, and it

has nothing to do with your financial status. The disease is not observed for both

boys and girls who are less than 15 years old, and people start to suffer from this

from late 30s. The University of Tokyo and the University of Kyoto went to Sri

Lanka separately and they spent about two years to do the research, but were

unable to discover the cause. Our association went to Sri Lanka twice to conduct our

own research, and our focus of the research was the residual nitrate. We targeted on

tea (Ceylon tea). The research results showed many of the tested tea contained

about 20000 ppm density, at least 2500 ppm more than the EU’s standard rate. We

found out that those who like to drink tea are more likely to become sick. In recent

years, Sri Lanka’s tea was rejected by England who has been the biggest importer,

and most of the tea is now imported by China. Judging from the fact that England is

purchasing the same kind of tea from Kenya, we can understand that their taste

has not changed and they have not lost the price wars. It seems that the quality of

the tea was in question. The tastes, shapes or colors were irrelevant.

Since the industrial revolution, we have wanted to industrialize the agriculture. We

developed pesticides and were able to obtain artificial fertilizers whose main

contents are nitrogen, phosphorus and kalium. The starvation ended and we have

been able to gain satisfaction. However, at the same time, they harmed our health

and we are pushed into the situation where the survival of the mankind is

threatened. Since we are created artificially, the artificially produced minerals,

vitamins and hormones have their limitations. As long as we live on the earth, we

must maintain our lives with the minerals and elements we receive from the soil.

The ancient Greeks believed that the God “Gaia” was in the earth and they cited as

follows:

"Zeus was here, Zeus is here and will be in the future, too."

Great Zeus, the earth gives us her fruits via you. We call her mother nature. This is

where "mother nature" comes from.

Human being controlled this mother nature with medicine called pesticide and tried

to terminate the microbes and soil creatures, we also tried to control ourselves with

chemical fertilizers. We are now treating the plants growing on the soil like slaves.

As we mentioned before, the soil is made of the walls of dirt and space (pores).

However, right now, the microbes which should be living in this space, aren’t living.

Even if they are living, they are just surviving.

Furthermore, a food storage room, humic substance, is pretty much dried up. Right

now, I am writing this passage in a rural town of Hebei in China. There are so many

condominiums soaring like skyscrapers here. At night, there is darkness without

any light. The soil under our feet is just like this. The dark space is stretching out

endlessly. It is just like a world of death. It took the earth several hundred million

years to make what we have now, this is not artificially made by just collecting the

Page 34: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

33

parts we need in a systematic way.

The nature is being made by one factor supporting, collaborating or opposing each

other like the wings of a dragonfly. We can build a spaceship, but we can’t make any

wings for a dragonfly, can we? The earth has been damaged by our egoism, our

premature judgment and pride. How can we revive our mother nature? We are lost,

facing this issue. Some people say that the science is almighty. If the science was

indeed almighty, why would all this happen? Please tell me the reason why.

Pesticide oxidizes and sterilizes targets, using arsenicum and chlorine. We, human

beings or animals, plants or microbes, all need a large number of electrons and live

using them well. Electrons are doing all kinds of work in our bodies (cell levels). The

flow of electrons is electricity. This electron is obtained when plants decompose water.

Microbes pass on judgment and start decomposing when no electricity is flowing in the

plant cells or water decomposition stops. Human bodies are basically the same.

Arsenicum and chlorine deprive bodies of weeds or insects of electrons. The targets

deprived of electrons get oxidized and die. Cells are destroyed and die when oil nitrogen,

chlorine or arsencium are exposed to the sun via the leaves and stalks. Microbes and

insects come in droves to these cases. Originally, when approached by insects (harmful

ones), plants show signs, saying that "I am still alive and fine." The sign is indicated by

giving "ethylene gas" through their pores. Weaker plants are eaten by insects, but it is

because of this gas that stronger plants are not eaten. Ethylene gas is a kind of plant

hormone and it has been proven that secretion gets more active when there are insects.

This important hormone is originally supposed to prevent aging and control growth.

(6) Chemical fertilizer

The overuse of the chemical fertilizer made it possible for us to obtain a large amount of

harvest in a short time. What is chemical fertilizer? I will dedicate a page or two to

explain how fertilizer came to be used. The typical chemical fertilizer is made of

ammonium sulfate. The solution of ammonium sulfate shows very strong acidity.

Ammonium sulfate was originally used as rust preventive agent for steel plates in the

automobile industry. In short, ammonium sulfate makes a thin veil and protects steel

against rusting. Because of its powerful acidity, the used liquid could not be disposed

and was kept in oil drums. A hole was made in its bottom and started to flow out. A big

problem happened because it flowed out into a farm land. People had a hard time

dealing with this problem and crops showed some abnormal growth. That was a first

step for the chemical fertilizer. It was not developed as fertilizer in the first place. As I

mentioned before, plants require a large amount of nitrogen. As nitrogen is not included

Page 35: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

34

in the soil, plants are programmed to suck it out of all the base minerals. However, what

plants require is so-called "organic nitrogen." This is included in the corrosion and

inorganic nitrogen set up in the soil. This all happens when the nitrogen in the air is

absorbed by leaves and composed by sunlight. The nitrogen is then carried into the roots.

Root nodule bacteria eat it and then die.

Ammonium sulfate, as it is indicated by chemical formula, includes nitrogen in the form

of ammonia. This was something called oil nitrogen which was chemically produced

from oil. However, the oil nitrogen is very similar in its form to "inorganic, organic

nitrogen." Plants inadvertently absorb this in a great amount because it is processed for

the easier absorption. Ammonium sulfate deprived of the nitrogen turns into sulfuric

acid and makes the soil acid (below pH 5.0) destroying soil creatures and microbes. The

roots of the plants are also destroyed. Lime is used to neutralize strong acidity. Lime is

like cement and makes the soil really hard.

The traditional agriculture tells us that "nitrogen" "phosphoric acid" and "Calium" are

the three major components for the fertilizer. But the overuse of the oil nitrogen withers

plants and drastically reduces nutrition values, producing something-looking like a

vegetable. Calium is put into the soil to neutralize the over-absorption of the nitrogen. It

is used in the soil as potassium chloride, that is to say, salt. So salt gets lumpy as this is

used for years on end. The series of harvesting is not possible because of these reasons.

We can easily see what is going to happen when we think about the industrialization of

agriculture. The future will not be bright.

6. Plant cells

About plant cells. Books on the traditional farming elaborate on how to prepare and

produce soil or how the fertilizers are used and how to select pesticides. They deal with

how-to-use knowledge. It seems that no detailed information was given for how cells are

formed and how they work because this kind of information belongs to another field of

study, such as cytology. However, those who study or are engaged in farming should

have sound knowledge for these: all plants are made of cells, how these cells are

working. First of all, let's look at how things got started.

An American biologist Lynn Margulis published her formative paper, "On the Origin of

Mitosing Cells," in 1967, explaining that cells of animals and plants take in germs

inside and get developed. Her thesis is widely accepted now.

5. The beginning of the neo agriculture

(1)Starting from a crisis

According to this thesis, about 2 billion to one billion years ago, Procaryotae(Archaea)

absorbed germs (Proteobacteria). Through this process, Procaryotae were in charge of

generating energy effectively. Furthermore, it was very convenient for germs, too,

because all they had to do was just to stay inside procaryotae. The cohabitation started

this way. The absorbed germs became energy-producing mitochondria inside cells. Later

on, among these cells, came along those who absorb cyanobacteria. The absorbed

cyanobacteria are the germs which are capable of photosynthesis (being able to create

organic matter from light, inorganic matter and carbon dioxide) and they became

chloroplast. The thesis by Lynn Margulis is thought to be true because chloroplast and

mitochondria possess their original DNA.

2. The production of glucose

We know that plants can produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate) not only in

mitochondria but also in chloroplast. This fact was discovered by Jagendorf, who was

awarded the Nobel Prize in 1978. ATP is indispensable for life activities. Without ATP,

you cannot move your muscles or the protein cannot be composed. Without ATP, no

animals including plants cannot survive, ATP is used when nutrition is transported into

cells or waste products are transported from the inside of cells to the outside. However,

its main function is to compose protein. The protein is composed of twenty kinds of

amino acids and the combination of amino acid requires the energy called ATP. This

fundamental phenomenon indicates that "life form generates energy using electric

gradient and electrical gradient is generated by this energy." In short, we can say that

life forms are generators of electricity. Countless super-mini motors called ATP

composing enzyme are attached to the inside of mitochondria skins and they make a

shaft turn around to a certain direction when a skin-penetrating proton (hydrogen ion)

goes through. This is very similar to water making a water mill turn around when it

goes through it. This shaft is connected to a large lump of protein called Catalyst head.

Acid ATP is generated by the combination of ADP (adenine dinucleotide diphosphate)

and phosphate caused by the turning of Catalyst head. ATP, one atom is produced when

this shaft turns around about 120 degrees. And then, ATP will be released into cells to

be used for the other functions. The source of hydrogen ion which enables all these

activities can be found in ion abundant in the space. The ion is produced in chloroplast

with the help of sunlight. And the hydrogen can be obtained by decomposing water. It

took several hundred million years for life forms to decompose water, because so much

energy is required to decompose water. The airy waste made by decomposing water is

oxygen. The appearance of oxygen helped the life forms on the earth to transform

completely. I will find time to elaborate on another occasion, but life forms must

somehow obtain energy somewhere from the environment and generate inner-cell

energy in order to produce electric gradient. Otherwise, life stops abruptly. All of fife

energy on the earth comes from the sun. The light energy is transformed to chemical

energy in the system called chloroplast of the plants and algae.

The summaries of the characteristics of cells are as follows:

(1) They have a composing system made of protein.

(2) They have a basic energy transformation system based on the ATP combination by

mitochondria and chloroplast.

(3) They give or take in electrons and protons (hydrogen ion) from hydrogen.

Page 40: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

39

(4) They produce and consume ATP in an electrical field by holding skins.

All of cells on the earth depend on photosynthetic organisms, such as plants. They make

an electrical field generating the flow of electrons and protons by transforming the solar

energy. All the life forms including us are living using this.

7. A thought on water

The inner parts of plant or animal cells are made of water. The plant cells, in particular,

have large vacuoles which cover half of their bodies and the inner parts are filled with

water. You may call them processed goods by water. As it was mentioned before, the first

creature was born in the sea which was like soup of mineral ion about 3.5 billion years

ago. Magnetic force, cosmic rays, thunder and winds supported the ionization of the

minerals and the main part was played by the fierce exchange interaction of particle

energy among various ions. You can say that creatures and plants are supported by this

fierce exchange interaction. H2O is a chemical formula for the particle of water, but it is

not so-called "water." Water is structured in a group and "good water" is close to

"H1206." Its bond angle is over 109° But water particles with high energy are

structured with abnormal vibrations of bond angles ranging from 95°to 160°

40

Water particles construct "water" by hydrogen combination that is three-dimensional

and infinite. The water in the sea, the water in the lake or the water in a glass are all

one, meaning that it is connected by hydrogen combination. The water in a glass looks

still at a glance, but when you observe section by section, particles and construction

small groups are constantly vibrating from one billion to one hundred trillion times per

a second. (rotating up and down, right and left and to and fro.) The speed is too fast for

us to see, so it looks still to our eyes. In reality, please keep in mind that the water is in

the "moving" state. The water in a glass is connected by hydrogen combination, and the

hydrogen combination is constantly being cut off and is reconnected. Water particles

constantly reject and absorb each other. (clone power). Water can solve things in its

space because of this moving state. Water moves like a magnate whose balance is

delicately tilted as particles and construction small groups. Therefore, it is affected by

an unmeasurable, slight amount of energy (such as supersonic). When water keeps

receiving this kind of wave, it tends to yield to a certain structuralization. What water

makes it what it is indicates "h1206" in the water mass. Animals and creatures depend

on cells. Cells are living in the states where they are submerged in the water inside and

outside. Bodies will get sick when water loses its order due to the interior or the exterior

factors of structuralization. Water is essential to the metabolism. It is also a passage of

nutrition and waste. Cells get weaker when water becomes inactive. When water is

healthy, its structure is in order and the clusters are small. However, unhealthy water

shows low degree of structuralization and it is not in good order, clusters are big, too. To

put it in a nutshell, the water is sticky like mayonnaise and it suffers from coagulopathy

caused by various chemicals. When water particles are not very active, water supply

and drainage in cells are extremely slow. So cells will suffocate. Water is the one and

only environment for cells. When that water is inactive, cells will automatically die and

an owner of these cells will die eventually. Since old times, people say that "1800 cc of

water keeps doctor away" although this is irrelevant to plants. Of course, the water has

to be pure. As a rule, when the bad water in cells is gradually exchanged by water

capable of purification, all kinds of diseases will be cured. Self-healing power will

appear in the natural ecosystem when a remedy is used to get of the real cause. A large

number of micro-organisms living in the soil, leaves, fruits and stems will become active

with good-quality water. The generation of many kinds of derivatives will be possible as

metabolic products of micro-organisms. The production of vitamin and hormone will be

normal and amino acid and organic acid will be delivered to each cell in the best

conditions by active water. Water with numerous mineral ion and weak electromotive

force among its ions will continue to be lively and shining. A body filled with active

Page 42: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

41

liquid is resistant against germs and diseases. Plants, in search of the older

environment in the circumference of the roots, are trying to absorb mineral ions and

organic acid with the help of countless micro-organisms. The metabolic system in the

cell level had been complete a long, long time ago and will not change. Water full of

energy like primitive active water and groups of many micro-organisms support this.

Organic acid and humic acid made by a large number of micro-organisms solve minerals

in the water. ( ionization) The ionization of inorganic minerals and irons activates water.

Furthermore, micro-organisms will be healthy and continue to reproduce themselves

with this active water. The use-or-to-be-used relationship is complete at this point. This

system is a rule for maintenance of life keep activities. (This is exactly like the

principles of Yin and Yang.) The current scientific system concentrates too much on

separate issues and can no longer see original forms. In the twentieth century, what lies

beyond the quantum mechanics, which created A-bombs, is the philosophy of Yin and

Yang. It proved that "everything in this world, despite its various look, is connected

systematically and inseparably by one single force." The space, nature, life forms on

the earth and its environment are moving uniformly by the power called unique control.

You may think that all the tragedies we are facing now such as environmental

destruction, contamination and pollution started from the fact that we don't recognize

this uniqueness (God). Finally, let me explain the relationship between water

construction small groups and cells.

The cross-sectional view of electron, water and ion channel (aquaporin)

In 2003, Dr. Peter Agre in Johns Hopkins University in the U.S.A. was awarded the

Nobel Prize for his discovery of holes (aquaporin) through which ion, water and

electrons pass cells. His theory is that ion, water and electrons are going through these

countless holes on the surface of cell skins. Aquaporin can be divided into two types: the

ones which allow only water to go through and the other which allow things like

Glycerol or urea except water to go through. (The structure is different for the ones

This opens and closes by potential difference and

chemical concentration difference.

Outside the cells

42

which allow things like Glycerol to go through.) The average entrance of Aquaporin is

3A (angstrom10-10 m) and lets a water particle 2.8 angstrom to pass through one

location.

Hence, this structure will not allow large lumps of water or ionizd solution combined

with other materials to go through this hole. Aquaporin sucks several hundred million

water particles every second in cells like a vacuum cleaner. Water particles in its order

(H12O6) are absorbed in a line. (Single-filed water). An experiment with frogs led to a

discovery of this aquaporin. Frog's eggs submerged in the single-filed water exploded

within 15 seconds but the ones in the large lumps of water did not. As you can see, it

was proved that the small groups of water allow cells to move freely. Some scholars

might argue that there is no difference for water which is made of the same particles of

H2O. I personally think that it's a big problem trying to explain everything under the

sun with our under-developed brains.

8. About electrons

They say that plants as well as human beings have electrons. The electrons are

generated in chloroplast by photosynthesis and they are carried to places where they

are needed. The electrical flow is a flow of electrons and electrical charge is an amount

of electricity either positive or negative and electrical pressure can be simply explained

as power that pushes electrons forward. Electrons can be expressed as (e^) and a mass

unit is 1-1800th of proton, but its electrical charge is the same. We learned about

oxidation and deoxidation in a junior and high school. We learned the three basic rules

of oxidation:(1) the loss of electrons (2) the loss of hydrogen and (3) the oxidation mean

the combination with the oxygen and the opposite effects, that is to say, (1) the

combination with electrons (2) the combination with hydrogen and(3)the loss of oxygen

mean deoxidation. And there is a character for each of them: oxidation can be rusting,

burning, decomposing or remaining. These words can be replaced by wrinkles, spots,

anxiety, anger, illness or death. And the deoxidation can be expressed by words, such as

freshness, resilience, beauty, vigor, hope and recovery. Our cells, including plants are

made of composition with more than sixty elements centering around nitrogen, oxygen,

carbon and hydrogen. (118 elements are now discovered and the elements in the world

of nature are from number 1: hydrogen to number 92; uranium.) The composing

elements for them are atom cores (proton + charging and neutron (no electrical charge)

and electrons. The followings are their typical forms:

Page 44: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

43

All the atoms are in the most stable state when outermost shells are filled. Hydrogen

gets stable when one element enters K shell, carbon gets stable when 4 elements enter L

shell, and Natrium gets stable when one element is released from M shell. The orbit

becomes larger when electrons enter the outermost shells of atoms touched by electron

functional water. That is to say that there is always a shortage of electrons inside the

cells, there is a battle for electrons on a daily basis and a large amount of electrons is

necessary. In this sense, the supply of electrons is indispensable. The life forms on the

earth are made of the combination of 92 natural elements I mentioned before. The main

character for this combination is electrons. People tend to think that there are many

ways of combinations, but in fact, there are only three, namely, ion combination,

covalent combination and iron combination. Salt (Nacl) is an ion combination of

natrium and chlorine and water is a covalent combination of two hydrogen elements

and one element of oxygen. All these combinations are conducted by the power of

electrons. Therefore, more and more electrons will be required. The life forms must take

in nitrogen, oxygen, water and nutrition into cells in order to live sanely. The entrance

is an ion channel on the surface of the inner cells. What is required will be taken in

through this ion channel and what is not required will be thrown out of this channel. It

is electrons that control the traffic of this ion channel. High electric potential gradient is

generated in and out of the cells and the traffic is repeated by a difference of potential.

When this difference of potential is calculated by a human measurement, it will be 2

million volts per 1cm2. An incredible amount of electrons will be necessary.

But the reality is that a large amount of electrons are being generated by

photosynthesis, but they are not fully supplied. Please read the following summaries:

(1)A difference of potential in and out of cells (mitochondria, chloroplast and vacuole)

will take in the necessary nutrition and reject what is not necessary with the water

from outside. A large amount of electrons will be required to produce a difference of

potential.

(2)Many atoms are mobilized to produce cells. A large amount of electrons will be

necessary because of this.

(3) A large amount of electrons will be necessary for the combination of atoms. Electrons

are key players for freshness, resilience, beauty, vigor, hope and recovery.

9. The beginning of the neo agriculture

(1)Starting from a crisis

Those who have used the pesticides and chemical fertilizers know that they are

highly effective and they help produce a good harvest. It is out of the question to

stop this brilliant agricultural technology. This is just like a magical technique or a

method for those who see them for the first time. However, the long-term use will

cause the bigger loss of the harvest and watching the bugs or the microbes which

develop resistance for chemicals eat up plants, the terminal point for this

agricultural method was very predictable. At that point, we bid farewell to the

Mother Nature. There was a substantial number of people, who predicted the future

like this 50 years ago. One of them was Dr. Takashi Hirai, a world-famous

microbiologist. Those who had good knowledge in the true sense of the word made

efforts to bring back the lost earth. But what is once lost cannot be regained so

easily. Those were very dangerous challenges which brought feelings of defeat. And

about 20 years ago, one technology showed us a possibility that we might be able to

revive this corrupt soil. We could gradually increase the harvest, using electrolyzed

water (anode and cathode). Nonetheless, this method has two drawbacks. One was

to ask each farmer for a big capital investment and another was a problem of salt

damage, taking place four or five years later after its use. The anti-germ and

anti-insect capacities had to be tested fully, but compared to other methods,

electrolyzed water showed infinite possibilities.

It took us about ten years to do the followings: (1) establish methods to remove the

residual salt in the electrolyzed water, (2) to make machines as small and light as

possible, (3) to lower the price, (4) to produce high concentration and to find how to

Page 46: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

45

dilute on site (at a farmer’s place), (5) to conduct research and discover the

technologies of adding anti-germ and anti-insect capabilities to electrolyzed water

and (6) to let the roots to absorb mineral ion until the microbes come back, this was

the most challenging of all. We have carried out various technological improvements.

More and more soils are starting to revive with this combines technology.

We did this test about 20 years ago in Japan and about 10 years ago, we also did

tests in a vacant lot of a factory in Dairen, China and four years ago, in the land of

Mongol which is the most unsuitable for agricultural production in the world. Right

now, we are starting tests in China, Sichuan, Beijing, and Hainan.

We are very satisfied with our test results. This is an agricultural method with no

pesticides and no chemical fertilizers. It is very simple and also inexpensive. Our

recent research shows us that this method can detoxify the soil once filled with

pesticides and (residual) fertilizers. The results were the fruits of hard work and

collaboration by many people and looking at this result made me feel from the

bottom of my heart that “we are not abandoned by God yet.” This method can make

the lost soil begin reviving and shining again. The vegetables and fruits we can

obtain from there taste good, the vegetables taste as they should and they can be

kept as they are for many days. The harvest is as good as the one by the chemical

fertilizers. The key point of this technology is, the technology of electrolysis. The

addition of study of minerals and herb technology builds up one single form. The

solution content and its usage will be explained in the next chapter. Let me tell you

that we call this new soil improving water “Agri-culture” like we “cultivate the soil

like the soul.”

(2) How to use “Agri-culture”

“Agri-culture” can be water (either hard or soft water) Use it at 10 -50 dilution rate.

The usage is as follows:

a. When the soil doesn’t work completely

Use organic manure (matured animal feces) and spray directly “Agri-culture” that

is adjusted for the required concentration onto the soil

b. When the soil still has some power

Foliar spray a certain amount of “Agri-culture” that is adjusted for the required

concentration at regular space.

c. When the soil is vast and the foliar spray is impossible.

Dip seeds in “Agri-culture” that is adjusted for the required concentration. Adjust

the immersion time depending on the kind of seeds. The detailed information will be

stated later.

Page 47: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

46

(3)Electrolyzed water

Junior high school students learn that acid water is produced for the anode side and

alkaline water is produced for the cathode side when water is electrolyzed with

electrolyte (salt-like substance). Our electrolyzed water is based on this principle,

but various improvements have been made in order to make it concentrated to its

maximum and usable on site of agriculture. The shape and structure of our

electrolyser looks different, but it works on the principle we learned in junior high

school. We spend a quarter of a century to build up this machine.

It has been 75 years in 2015 since the electrolysis technology was invented in Japan,

so one-third of the time was spent. This may look rather easy, but let me tell you

that it is based on the electrochemistry. We make the basic solution of “Agri-culture”

the agricultural (soil) improving water. This electrolyzed water does show good

results, but it will be far more effective when it is used with medicine and the

solution extracted from medicinal herbs on demand. Let me briefly explain what

electrolyzed water is like. We use both anode and cathode water for agriculture. But

mainly the ratio is cathode water 8, and anode water 2.

The cathode water

The main content of the cathode water is kalium ion (K+) and hydroxide ion (OH-).

These two ions are connected. The concentration is 7200 mg/L (p.p.m). The rest is

generally hydroxide(H-) called minus hydrion. In short, this is water rich with

electron and hydrion. Another feature is the high osmotic force. These are the

features of the electrolyzed cathode water. There are many other features, but the

current science can’t tell what it really is. Let’s think about why this is useful for

agriculture. First of all, electrons gather to the cathode side when electrolysis takes

place. Water is divided into H+ and OH-.The quantity amounts to about Iv. The

water is electrolyzed and divided into H+ and OH-. H+ or electron goes into two

extra rooms of K shell and changes like this: H+→H→H-. K+ of the electrolyte side

is drawn to the cathode and goes through the barrier membrane and gathers around

the cathode.

It connects to OH-( hydroxide) and turns into KOH and gets stable. The important

thing is that all of this exists in ion. As we mentioned before, all the plants and men

need many elements and minerals. But these elements and minerals (accessory

elements) have to be ionized, they must have (+) or (-) electricity, if not, men,

animals, plants and microbes cannot use them at all. And its osmotic force should be

mentioned once more time at the end. The followings are the functions of each

element:

(A) The functions of K + (Calium Ion)

a. The control of osmotic pressure in and out of cells.

b. Being an activity factor of enzyme that changes carbohydrates into energy.(medium)

c. Working as medium in case of various enzyme productions

d. Absorbing water that entered the soil particles.

e. Destroying the nerve system of insects and killing them.

f. Making pesticide DDVP harmless.

g. The control of cellular osmotic pressure.

(B) The functions of H+(Hydrogen Ion)

a. The control of osmotic pressure in and out of cells.

b. Main power source for the particle motor of mitochondria(energy power plant of cells)

c. A center of exchange action of ion.

(C) The functions of electrons.

a. Being medium of the combination of inorganic ion(oxidation and deoxidation reaction)

b. To control osmotic pressure in and out of cells (control of opening and closing of

aquaporin)

c. To prevent the oxidation of cells.

d. To be used to combine elements.

e. Helps to stabilize the elements.

OH- can be obtained by electrical separation, not by water decomposition.

(E) Osmotic pressure

Cathode water is easily absorbed into roots by the power of K+, H+ and e- and later

reaches each cell and enters them via aquaporin. By this process, water (ion) will be

taken into cells. Water has a tendency to flow from lower density to higher density. This

is called osmotic pressure.

Sterilization capacities

There are many commonly accepted theories about the sterilization capacities of the

cathode water, but several tests revealed the following recognitions that are now

regarded as collective view. The osmotic pressure destroys and kills the germ

(microbe) from the inside as shown in the photo.

・ Water tends to flow from lesser

concentration to higher concentration.

This is called the osmotic pressure. The

electrons K+ and H+ go into the germ

cells and drastically raise the

concentration rate of the cell. The water

attaching to the germ flows into the cell

and internally explodes the cell

membrane.

・This can happen only on the limited

areas, like the surfaces of leaves. The electrolyzed water entering the soil doesn’t

work like this.

・The sterilization capacities by the cathode water are different from the highly

concentrated water, but the diluted water sterilizes gradually as time goes by.

When the cathode water is spayed to the surface of a leaf, a nonconductive film will

be formed and microbes and harmful insects will have a hard time, staying

there.

The insects protect their bodies with oil, but OH- included in the cathode water

decomposes that oil and the insects that lose their protective oil film will

eventually die.

The connecting power among elements is OH--H>H-C. Therefore, the oil

decomposes itself by having the molecular structure of the carbon only. That is

OH-+H+ → H2O.

Page 52: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

51

This is the function of the cathode water.

Originally, the cathode water is good enough, but depending on the situations, we

might want to use anode water. Since we don’t use it so often and the amount isn’t

much, we give you a brief explanation. The main content of the anode water is

hypochlorous acid. This is dissolved by water and becomes hypochlorous acid water.

Another factor is that this water is extremely devoid of electrons. This can be shown

as

So this water robs the contacted matters of their electrons. Oxydation (the one

which lost its electron) loses an electrical charge, the inter-elementary connection is

lost, and pores will be made.

The anode water also has chlorine. The chlorine easily takes away the electrons The

one losing electrons will be oxydated and have pores as stated before. The chlorine

ion will play another role. The chlorine ion will substitute water easily. It will push

away water elements and stay there. The production of enzyme, hormone and

vitamin is based on the water vibrating more than 10 trillion times per one second.

The water looks as if it wasn’t moving, but the water in a glass is vibrating more

than 10 trillion times per one second. The half is space. Without the space, things

will not dissolve. The production of

enzyme, hormone and vitamin is not possible in places where the vibration of water

stops. If creatures can’t produce these in their bodies, they will die immediately. The

chlorine gas is said to be “enzyme-hindering poisonous gas.” The same thing can be

said about microbes, too.

However, the anode water has one major defect. When it touches organic matter, it

will stop its actions. The sterilization spectrum is extensive, ranging from the

germinating germs to virus, being able to terminating them instantly and without

fail. When it finishes his work, it will turn into water. It doesn’t leave any residue or

any side effects. It doesn’t create any resistant bacteria, either. It has to be used

carefully for the agriculture because the anode water has electrons devoid of the

chlorine. You have to keep in mind that this can stop the growth of plants and

destroy their cells. The following conditions will demand the use of the anode water:

a. When the strong and instant sterilization is required.

b. When the soil is in the state of oxygen deficiency (including the reduction zone)

(The anode water contains 20 to 30 mg/L dissolved oxygen.)

Page 53: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

52

c. When the taste of plants has to be improved by giving stress.

d. In the worst case where the diluted water is used with pesticide.

(most of the pesticide is acid water, so it can be diluted by the anode water)

The amount of pesticide at this point should be less than one-fifth or one-tenth of

the average use.)

(4)Multi-element co-existing mineral ores

As we have explained up till now, the electrolyzed water has all these wonderful

advantages, but we cannot revive the soil with this only. It only means that the

preparation system is set up. It is just like the good carpenters are now at the

construction site, but the construction materials are not prepared yet. The

construction materials can be regarded as minerals. The animals, including the

human beings, cannot extract minerals from the ores and use them directly, as we

have explained before. We cannot produce them in our bodies. We obtain them from

the plants and the plants take them in with the help of microbes. It can be said

many soil animals are ultimately tending the fields, so microbes can work at their

best.

We destroyed this intimate relationship in the soil. How can we supply the ionized

minerals to the roots of plants? A new challenge is now starting for us. I was

engaged in a purifying operation of the Setogawa River flowing through Tanabe city

in Wakayama Pref. in 1994. I was lucky to work under the directions from Dr.

Takashi Hirai, a microbiologist. It was a muddy river, when you opened your

window in the summer, a muddy smell would come into your room and the smell

was unbearable. After six months of the purifying operation, larva of dragonfly

came back to the river. The larva can only live in the clean water. People were

amazed at such an early return and the media covered this news nation-widely. We

threw in something into the river, namely, multi-element co-existing mineral ores.

We looked all over Japan for the ores with the best possible balance of trace

elements and finally found four kinds of stones. The four kinds are “Maifan stone”

“Soyou Stone” “Hanbo Stone” “Diabase Stone.”

These stones were temporally baked and when dried, they were ground, granulated

to the size of 40 micron. The details are show in the chart X. The granulation made

the contact surface area wider. They were easily ionized by the carbonate in the soil,

and the ionized minerals were easy for the plant roots to absorb.

The motif is shown in the picture below.

Multi-element co-existing minerals powder plays a very important role for growing

plants without chemical fertilizers in a barren soil where there are not enough

microbes. Two or three years are required for a piece of land to revive fully.

Meanwhile, plants have to be produced somehow. This fine powder was a pinch

hitter before the microbes return to the soil for sure.

These multi-element co-existing mineral ores are not used as they are. They are

used after being mixed and processed by the electrolyzed cathode water. The

cathode water, like the carbonate in the soil, dissolves the silicon and exposes its

element. The ionization proceeds in this way. The elements can never ionize by

themselves. There are many products in the market that claim the ionization is

possible by putting these mineral ores in the water, but it is not that simple. There

are specific 31055conditions for the ionization:

a. put the elements side by side whose electrical potential is different

b. spraying water to minerals powerfully

c. keep minerals in the water for a long time

d. Use αRay

*αRay is the nucleus of the helium atom and takes away 2 digit electrons from the

other end and turns itself into helium. And it has double bonding and becomes

helium gas and gets stable.

The above four methods are how to ionize the elements.

Approximately 16 bq (Becquerel) α Ray is constantly radiated from these

multi-element co-existing mineral ores, it is believed that the elements, especially

minerals are ionized extremely effectively. The combination of “multi-element

co-existing mineral ores” and “electrolyzed cathode water” will have the following

synergy effects:

a. Contains a big amount of K+

b. Contains a big amount of electrons.

c. Contains a big amount of dissolved hydrogen

d. Contains a big amount of hydroxide ion

e. Has the high osmotic power

f. Many elements are ionized in a well-balanced manner.

g. Has energy (the extreme infrared radiation with the maximum of 10μm)

h. Has the sterilization capability

Originally, there should be two electrons on the

electron orbit, but they aren’t any. So, two are

taken away from the others. The one who lost the

electron will be ionized and be positive ion.

58

This kind of test proves the osmotic power very well. We mentioned before that The

combination of “multi-element co-existing mineral ores” and “highly concentrated

electrolyzed cathode water” is named the new agricultural improved water

“Agri-Culture.” Several pages will be used for the usages of “Agri-Culture.”

(5)Specific uses of the “Agri-Culture.”

a. Immersion Method of seeds

Let us show you why the plants whose seeds were immersed would grow fast and

why the seeds that were immersed excessively would eventually die. When seeds

are immersed, what you should keep in mind would be the concentration and the

time. The seed immersion should only be done when there are no other options, for

example, the water spraying isn’t possible. It should not be practice at all times.

The purposes of the seed immersions are the following three:

(a) To sterilize seeds

(b) To accelerate the growth of seeds

(c) To select seeds. (Bad ones will float.)

As we mentioned before, the enemy germs for plants are fungus (mold), such as

Pythium, Rhizoctonia and Fusarium. The electrolyzed anode water hinders the

growth of plants. The same results are observed for both anode and cathode water.

When these are taken into the consideration, the electrolyzed water to be used

should the “cathode water.” The electrolyzed cathode water hinders the growth of

seeds. The reason can be found in the high osmotic power (the concentration of

hydrogen ion, electron and K+ is extremely high) and the high level of hydroxide ion

(OH-). The dilution is necessary to be used. The appropriate dilution rate can be

checked with a portable pH sensor, but the maximum measuring range would be

around pH 11.0, on a commercially available portable pH sensor. (You would need

another adjustment). It will not be indicated correctly at the time of dilution, the

use should be limited to the soft water of less then 60 ppm. A commercially available

portable pH sensor ( about 100,000 yen in the market) is not suitable for the

concentration of the hydrogen ion. So this type of big error can happen. The features

and specifications of a pH sensor will be explained again in another chapter.

Let us go back to where we were, the dilution rate should be 50 times of its

concentration. This dilution rate will accelerate the growth of plants and dense

Page 60: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

59

enough to sterilize the mold properly. The immersion time isn’t the longer, the better.

For instance, it should 8 hours for rice plants and barley, and for the other seeds,

depending on the thickness of the shells, the immersion time should be between 10

minutes to 60 minutes. The minimum ten minutes will be necessary to sterilize fully.

(After the dilution) Let us explain how the growth of seeds is accelerated. First of all,

as we mentioned earlier, the osmotic power is very high. Water tends to flow from

lesser concentration to higher concentration. This is called the osmotic pressure.

Using this principal, fungus germs (cell membranes are thin) are immersed and

their cell membranes will be destroyed internally. However, the cells of seed are

thick, so water goes into cells moderately without breaking them internally. We

mentioned before that Kalium+ (Karium ion) adjusts the flow of the water or the ion

in the cells (the adjustment of the osmotic pressure) and it is the medium at the

production time of the life maintenance materials like enzyme or hormone. It works

as the medium when plants produce glucose from carbon dioxide. The hydrogen ion

is a molecular motor of mitochondria, the Adenosine diphosphate (cell energy) will

not be produced without it. Electrons will function for the bonding of each

elementary ion and for the anti-oxidation of the cells. Multi-element co-existing

mineral ores are the providers of elementary ions.

The hydrogen ion (OH-) will produce glucose eve if plants are not photosynthetic

enough. The sum of these factors helps seed to prepare its growth as a plant.

Foliar spray method.

Let us omit the functions of each factor and the operation as they work in the same

way as we talked in the previous section. Here, the spray space and the spraying

quantity for the different types of plants will be indicated. As stated in the chapter 1,

in the section “About the soil (2) the water (water in the soil), the soil that looks dry

still stores water inside. The soil is made of dirt, minerals and space, the water is

stored in the space. Therefore, you don’t have to pour too much water. No matter

how much water you can pour, it will flow into the underground because of the

gravity. What do we mean by the space here? It should be understood as the space

where the sterilization takes effect. Germs can survive, germinate and continue to

grow even after the sterilization is applied one time. It is important to know the

interval between the germination and its growth (an outbreak of disease). The

re-germination of Pythium is shown below.

This chart shows that the stage of suppression can be kept for six days after the

spraying. In order to keep the situation under the stage of the suppression, spraying

every five days will be appropriate. The speed of aggravation is very fast after six

days.

We will discuss the spraying quantity. Plants just don’t absorb water. Water is

decomposed by the light in the bodies of plant and is divided into H+ and OH-. That

is one aspect of water and it has an important function, that is to say, to transport

various ionized ion (including minerals) to the specific cells which require it. The

reason why all the elements must be ionized is that the water particles have

electricity and this electricity carries each elementary ion to cells. As shown in the

chart below, they have (+) and (-) electrical charges. As you know, + and + repel each

other and + and - attract each other. The elementary ions will be transported by

repelling and attracting reactions.

The spraying amount is a ballpark figure and it should be regarded as an estimate.

Spraying should be more for fruits, but less for strawberries, rice plants or barleys.

How to improve the soil rapidly

ⅰ.Reduction zone

When it is impossible to produce agriculturally due to a large amount of pesticide or

chemical fertilizer or hydrogen sulfide ( reduction zone) in the soil, it can be

neutralized by using a lot of acid water (1 liter of electrolyzed anode water per 1 kilo

of soil).

The reduction zone will create the layer of water by putting a large amount of water,

and the blocking of the air by the water will make this layer. There could be some

sedimentation of the chemical fertilizer with sulfate group (SO-4) or organic

matters. Under this circumstance, the enzyme of SO-4 will be taken by the microbes

(aerobic) in the soil. S (sulfur) ion connected with the hydrogen in the soil will

produce H2S (hydrogen sulfide). And the ferric ion will be connected with the sulfur

ion and produce the ferric sulfide. The ferric sulfide is harmless, but it is soluble in

the water and tends to flow away. It flows away with a lot of mineral ion. H2S

damages the roots of the plants and hinders the absorption of the nutrition. The

plants will grow badly and lose their resistance for germs.

ⅱ.The problem of the residual chemical fertilizers

Plants cannot grow properly if chemical fertilizers keep staying in the soil. This is

because plants keep absorbing the chemicals. The plants absorb the nitrogen ion

Except for the

plant like spinach

alkaline soil, most

of the plants will be

through their roots and use it to produce carbohydrate. Plants are apt to take in

more nitrogen than the other elementary ion. They will have too much nitrogen this

way and this is how the nitrate will keep staying behind. As a result, Pythium,

Rhizoctonia and Fusarium will start growing in place of the azotobacter. Naturally,

the pH value will shift to the acid side. (Because H2SO4 and Hcl will be produced in

the soil.) The electrolyzed cathode water can be used for this case. For example, the

next operation is recommended for the residual ammonium sulfate.

(nh4)2SO4 →2NH4+ + SO24- SO24- + 2KOH = K2SO4

(The electrolyzed cathode water) K2SO4 is neutralized salt, so it will never reduce

the pH value. The solubility of K2SO4 is 4.76g/100g, (low solubility), the damage of

the soil will be minor as SO4-. H2SO4 (sulfuric acid) is usually produce in the soil,

so pH will be low.

ⅲ. Pesticide (residual)

Please refer to the appendix 1 for the problem of the residual pesticide.

Page 65: Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heartjwstec.co.jp/material/en/pdf/Cultivate the soil as... · Cultivate the soil as you cultivate your heart ... arteriosclerosis, heart diseases

64

ⅳ.Replacing the pesticide

The mixed liquid “Agri-culture” made from the electrolyzed cathode water and

multi-element coexisting mineral ores can replace the pesticide (anti-bug or

anti-germ).

The first method is to add X ppm surfactant available in the market to this liquid in

the 50 dilution magnification. Put a 1/2000 amount of the commercially available

neutral detergent to “Agri-culture.” The growth of the germs will be hindered by

this. The data will be shown in the chart below.

Chart : The inhibitory effects of the commercially available neutral detergents

The inhibitory effects will be longer just by adding 1/2000 amount of neutral

detergent (500ppm) as shown above. The spraying periods (space) of “Agri-culture”

can be slightly extended. It will be effective.

However, the neutral detergent (surfactant) can damage the nature in terms of the

biodegradability, the toxicity and changing the soil. (It can’t be compared to any

pesticides, though.) The 2000 dilution magnification (500 ppm) will be suitable. The

neutral detergent is capable of destroying the cell membranes of pathogenic

bacteria and it has antibacterial effect, changing the qualities of the enzyme protein.

The effects of surfactant can move the oil covering the bodies of insects, so it is

anti-bugs and anti-germs. We also mentioned the sterilization power of the

electrolyzed cathode water in the chart (X) on the page 31. The comparison chart

with the commercially available neutral detergent has been made as a supplement.

The comparison was made for Rhizoctonia and Pythium only, but we believe this is

good enough.

10.The state-of-the-art highly concentrated electrolyzed water producing

machines

A “Highly concentrated electrolyzed water producing machine” is the basis for

“Agri-culture.” This is a state-of-the-art machine based on the 75-year research

history in Japan. We believe that this is the top-notch machine with the best quality.

Outside Japan, our machines are imported into the advanced countries like the

U.S.A and the EU, so they are highly trustworthy.

The specifications of the machines are shown below.

The classification of the electrolyzed water producing technology is as follows:

They are listed chronologically.

(1)The first generation (1940s to the present) Batch Type

This is the basic structure for the electrolysis.

(2)The second generation (1985 to the present) 2 room running water type

This type is the mainstream now, but again it is not suitable for the agriculture

because of the residual salt.

(3)The third generation (1995 to the present) 3 room running water type

The type 1 and 2 cannot be used for the agriculture because of the residual salt.

(The soil will suffer from the salt damage.) This was developed to overcome this

drawback, but it cannot be diluted because of the low concentration of the

produced water.

Japan is a leader in the technology concerning the electrolysis machines. But the

mainstream is still the second generation type and cannot be used for the

agriculture due to the residual salt (0.1 ~0.2%). The third generation types are not

stable yet and the equipment must be installed on site of agriculture. This will not

be a problem if farmers have enough capital. But from a global point of view, rich

farmers are a handful of people. Furthermore, even if you might be able to bring the

electrolyzed water and spray it on the site, a large amount of it must be carried. It

will be physically impossible. We understood all these problems and made

improvements one by one. It took us twenty five years and we have now a fourth

generation term 2 product. This product has been used in the many countries, such

as the USA, Mexico, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Korea, Mongol, China, Iran,

Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Taiwan. It is very trustworthy. The

highly concentrated water produced by this machine contains no salt, so it’s free

from the salt damage of the soil. There are many electrolysis machines in the

market right now. But as we mentioned before, they cannot be used for the

agriculture, Never. If you read various brochures of manufacturers, you might think

it’s quite possible. That’s because you don’t have the same experience as we did in

Japan. It took us as many as fifteen years to remove the salt from the electrolyzed

water. That was a mission that had been handed down from our seniors. We would

like you to think about this technology built on the history of hardship. It was not

created overnight! The agricultural savior called “Agri-culture” was realized by the

sweat and tears of the nameless engineers. This is our Japanese pride shown by the

engineers who never gave up! That’s why it is powerful!

11.The past results for the agriculture

(1) Japan

“Agri-culture” has been tested many times for the past ten years.

It has been done on a small scale, the results we conducted in Japan are as follows:

(Cucumbers)

Mr. Iizuka in Tatebayashi, Gumma started Matsumoto-farming method in January

in 2008. In late February, the harvest started finally. The rooting took place in the

early stage, grew better than before with better colors of leaves that are thick. The

cucumbers harvested at the first blooming were very good in terms of sweetness,

smell and textures. He used to spray pesticide four or five times, but there is no sign

of harmful insects, and has not used any pesticide yet.

The colors of thick leaves look good. The ends of vines are in good shape.

The harvest has started. It has been a month since its plantation. The blossoms are bigger and a

bigger number of them can be observed. The growth gives an impression that there will be no

harmful insects, and there was no use of pesticide until the end of the harvest.

Mr. Okamura in Nogi in Tochigi grows tomatoes and melons, he owns his direct sales

depot and sells his products. He uses almost no pesticide and the quality improves. His

direct sales increased and his products are being sold for higher prices.

there were no disease or harmful insects, and no pesticide was used.

Finally, no pesticide was used for the whole cultivation. There was a 200% production increase

compared to the previous year, and there was no outbreak of club roots that was observed regularly.

Prefecture, the distinct difference was observed in the same area where the plantation

has just been made. The photos on the left shows the electrolyzed water farming method

and the photos on the right show the traditionally practiced method with chemical

As you can see, good results can be obtained by foliage spraying of the electrolyzed water once or

twice a week and by watering the electrolyzed water. The acid water has sterilizing effects and the

electrolyzed cathode water promotes the growth. Unlike the medicine, it doesn’t give any stress to

the plants and promotes original tastes and smells of plants. Mr. Sekiguchi in Tokyo mainly sells at

his depot and his products enjoy higher prices. People locally talk about his products. The tastes, the

smells, the textures and the looks are all superb, selling well to the point where advance sale is

practiced. Stores selling his products praise his products at the same time.

Japanese mustard spinach is grown by the electrolyzed water. Mr. Sekiguchi in Nerima,

Tokyo regularly sprays the electrolyzed water by an automatic mist spraying system. As

a result, his plants grew healthily, he could harvest without using any pesticide.

Cultivation is going on, using an automatic system, spraying the electrolyzed water.

●Experiments in Chiba Prefecture yachimata

This is a farmhouse that has been using the farming method with the electrolyzed

water for five years. They are picking up four melons and three heads of cabbage.

(No chemical fertilizers and pesticide are used.)

・The soil has changed a great deal since the introduction of the electrolyzed water.

The stalks, leaves and products are all full of life. The production quantity

increased 100% ~300%.

・This is the farming method in which Japan can take pride. Many countries and

areas including China, Southeast Asia and the Europe are waiting!

(2) Mongolia

The soil in Mongolia is dry and at the same time, the differences in temperatures

between the summer and the winter are 80℃, the environment is one of the most

severe regions in the world. It hardly ever rains in the summer. The cultivation test

using “Agri-culture” was conducted in this severe soil. In Japan, it was an

experiment using the electrolyzed water only, but in Mongolia, we had an

experiment using the solution with multi-elements co-existing mineral ores.

Comparison of the production quantity of the five wheat plants selected at random.

(electrolyzed water + the multi-element co-existing mineral ores.)

As you can see, there was a huge difference. The seeds of wheat were immersed in the

electrolyzed water + the multi-element co-existing mineral ores for eight hours. We had

no other operations after this. No change was observed for the quality of the soil, its

condition and the amount of rainfall. The feature of the soil in Mongolia is that there is

almost no humic substance indispensable for the growth of the plants. Because of the

lack of the humic substance, even the wheat grows badly. (The feature of the wheat is

that it somehow grows no matter how the soil may be.)

We were able to prove that “Agri-culture” combined with the electrolyzed water + the

multi-element co-existing mineral ores could be a substitute for the humic substance.

We were also able to prove that the contents and capabilities of the electrolyzed cathode

water could absorb the adhesive water in the particles in the dry soil short of water.

This indicates that not only in Mongolia, but also any places that were not farmland

could be switched relatively easily, even though they might have been parking lots or

factory sites. The tests will be shown in the next chapter. Please look at our experiments

in Mongolia a little more.

(The seed immersion method)

This is an experiment being conducted

now in Mongolia. The soil is rather

barren, so the water culture is

necessary for the improvement of the

production. The potatoes being grown

by the water culture is pretty rare in

the world. The water culture depends

on the “water quality” not on the “soil

quality.”

Cultivation of tomatoes and cucumbers

All the tests in Mongolia are complete in October 2015, the real production starts in

2016.

(3) China

The tests in China were conducted for three years from 2007 in Ryojun, Dairen,

Liaoning Sheng. The test results were very positive. From March in 2015, in the

outskirts of Beijing, we conducted an agricultural test, using the space that was once a

parking lot. For a place like a parking lot, it cannot be switched to a farmland out of the

blue because there is no humic substance, no microbes and soil animals in the land. The

soil will not be easily suitable for the agriculture even if good soil and good organic

fertilizers should be used. The task will be even more difficult if no pesticides and

chemical fertilizers are used. The following is our operations for the improvement.

Cucumbers we produced (3 kinds from Russia, Czech, Japan)

An agricultural test was conducted in this space. We dug up the soil and put

90

This indicates that a short-term agricultural land reform is possible in places that are

now barren or the lands (such as a parking lot, a factory or a house, etc) that is never

used as a farmland.

More vegetables and fruits will be unavailable because of the corruption of the soil

caused by the pesticide and chemical fertilizers, the introduction of the transgenic crops,

using stronger pesticides and chemical fertilizers and the abandonment of the

farmlands. And then, the starvation shall begin.

Our attempt was to prevent the starvation and produce healthy food at the same time.

.

If the completely organic farming method is possible in the lands of Mongolia and China,

any other place in the world will be possible. We conducted our experiments with this in

mind.

As a matter of fact, the large-scale tests have started in the provinces of Szechwan,

Hainan and Shandong in the continent of China. All the results are very good indeed.

The same can be said for Vietnam, Europe and the Central America.

12. POT farming method

The so-called POT farming method is a method using flowerpots or planters. The reason

why this is called a method is that it has reached the level where the mass production is

possible, using small flowerpots. In the beginning, this started as a preliminary

experiment for the cultivation outdoors and in greenhouses, in 2014, using one

flowerpot (the diameter 30cm and the depth 30 com) and two planters (one size 15cm ×

75cm, the depth 25cm), about 800 cucumbers were produced annually, so an experiment

for mass production started in earnest.

The cucumbers grown by the completely organic farming method were bigger and

heavier than the ones in the market, they also tasted very good as they originally do.

Right now, we are expanding to the items below.

These vegetables can be grown in one flowerpot. One pot can produce about 50

pieces for the minimum of one year. Of course, no pesticides and chemical fertilizers

are used. As shown in the photos, the selection is really extensive except for fruits.

POT farming is also more difficult than the the cultivation outdoors and in

greenhouses. That is because only a little amount of soil is used and plants cannot

fully extend their roots. Less soil means there would be less mineral ions and less

microbes, including azotobacter.

It must be said that it’s very difficult to grow plants using organic farming method

only. The plants with little humic substance can’t absorb nitrate, phosphorous,

kalium and the other mineral ions without the help of the chemical fertilizer.

“Agri-culture” has been fully successful in overcoming these negative conditions.

However, this method and its experiment have just started and further

improvements will be necessary. This method is based on the principal that the soil

should be exchanged annually, so when we say that further improvements will be

necessary, we mean that the concentration, quantity and the time of the application

should be best planned. We have already explained the contents and functions of

“Agri-culture.” POT refers to the system where the higher quality of the water

enhances the loss of the soil.

13.Afterword

We mentioned earlier that “our health” depends on the “quality of plants” and

“quality of plants” depends on the “quality of soil.” In this sense, talking about soil

(the agriculture) just doesn’t mean the industrial technology that would produce

high quality vegetables at reasonable prices. We are talking about our flesh, lungs,

our livers, our hearts. It concerns the lives of our children, our grandchildren. The

modern agriculture takes advantage of pesticides and chemical fertilizers has been

producing filling vegetable-like products, not vegetables as nutrition. The vitamin

content is less than 1/10 of the ones grown properly. You have to eat more than ten

to obtain the same amount of nutrition now. Just one used to be good enough. The

vegetables you are eating contain the nitrate exceeding the lethal dose. The nitrate

is the main cause for cancers, diabetes and the kidney diseases. There is a stronger

tendency for the greenhouse farming, some data shows that the number of the

patients with chronic dialysis is equal to the prefectures in Japan, where

greenhouse cultivation is very common. When you eat these vegetables with your

eyes closed, since they are pretty tasteless, you don’t know what you are eating. The

daily consumption of these vegetables will damage our health, because this nitrate

melt inside a body will turn into the material called nitrosamine. It seems like the

vegetables or fruits that are supposed to support our health are attacking us. There

are people who are concerned about these issues of the agriculture and are trying to

return to organic farming. But the system and the mutual involvement that can be

called “the thread of life” cannot come back easily once they are destroyed. Despite

the challenges by many countries, organizations, companies and farmers, they have

not been successful. It seems that a successful cultivation of 1ha organic farming is

a drop of water on the burning rock because of the fact that about 3,000 ha of the

soil would get barren every day. The farming by the electrolyzed water has a history

of 65 years this year. However, about 45 years out of these 65 years is a history of

the failures. We never gave up and continued working for the improvement and we

finally found ways for practical use 20 years ago. But the initial investment was

expensive and the machine was troublesome, we spent another 20 years for the

improvement. We came up with the highly effective ways that are less troublesome

for farmers at work.

96

The improvements included solving the problem of the residual salt, which was a

defect of the traditional electrolyzed water, establishing the generation method for

highly concentrated electrolyzed water, the dilution method, its application method

and the mixture of the Multi-element co-existing mineral ores.

Our “Agri-culture,” aqueous solution for the agriculture is a general term for the

technology we have talked about. Using this solution, it is now possible to restore

the once-destroyed soil really easily. This was impossible by the organic farming

technology. Results are obvious with the first production and it can be done without

fail. Furthermore, the new technology, POT farming that was on the experimental

level is now reaching the level where the mass production is possible. The

advantage of this farming is to be able to grow the safe food easily by yourself. This

is not possible without

“Agri-culture.” As you can see, “Agri-culture” can show you results very different

from the other methods. Nothing can be compared to this technology. Please study

this and deal with the problems you are facing now.
