You are required to submit creative work prior to your interview/audition. Please refer to your specific area of concentration on the proceeding pages to learn more about this. Your work may be submitted by email or YOUTube link to <[email protected]>. Large files above 8MB may be shared via wetransfer.com, Google Drive or OneDrive. Please check your links and files to make sure that they do in fact function before submitting.

Prior to Interview/Audition You are required to submit before your interview:

1. a new piece of work that YOU have created in any medium (e.g. film, poetry, prose, music, visual art etc.). You choose the theme for this piece.

2. a formal resume OR a brief summary of Dance Study.

3. a written Goals Statement narrative.

4. a Dance Reel featuring you or a piece you choreographed.

Interview and Audition Day

Each prospective student for the Dance programme will be invited to an interview and an audition, scheduled on the same date.

Applicants intending to specialize in Dance will be assessed with (i) a short Ballet center and Modern dance sequence, via an improvisation, and (ii) a one to two minute self-choreographed or repertory solo danced to instrumental music. Other dance styles (Hip-hop, Break dance, African dance, etc.) are welcomed in the solo audition.

Candidates must wear close-fitting dancewear (Women: leotard and convertible tights; Men: solid T-shirt with tights or gym shorts - no required color code). Hair must be tied back, no jewelry. Ballet shoes with the elastic sewn on and tie strings tucked for ballet and bare feet for modern dance.

Applicants should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their appointments to allow for warm up.

Prior to Interview/Audition You are required to submit before your interview:

1. a new piece of work that YOU have created in any medium (e.g. film, poetry, prose music, visual art etc.). You choose the theme for this piece.

2. a piece of creative work (film/video), of between one to three minutes in length, in which you played a key creative role (writer, director, editor). Alternatively, you may submit three film clips which have inspired you, with brief notes as to why you have selected each clip.

3. A written statement of your creative interests, aspirations and aims.

Please also note that the FCCPA would accept a photo-essay, a photo-story and/or a portfolio of photographs as part of your submission.

Interview Day

All applicants intending to specialize in Theatre are required to attend an interview. You will be notified of date and time.

2. A one-page personal statement on your background in Music, musical interests, goals etc.

Interview and Audition Day

Applicants entering the Music programme are required to audition and attend an interview scheduled on the same day. The audition includes: · - Performance of two contrasting pieces; “contrasting” can be defined in different ways (e.g., lyrical vs. technical, early music vs. twentieth century, self-composed vs. a cover tune, etc.). - Demonstration of technical competence including scales, chords, rhythms, arpeggios, etc. - Sight-reading: Performing a piece of music at sight.

Interview and Audition Day

Applicants intending to specialize in Theatre are required to audition and attend an interview on the same day. For the audition, applicants are asked to arrive prepared to present the following:

i) two (2) prepared actor’s pieces, one of which must be a monologue. Each piece must be no longer than two minutes. Note carefully that one of the pieces must be from the work of an author/playwright/poet etc., whether published or unpublished, other than the applicant.

ii) A song or a segment of a song of no more than two minutes.
