• Dust your surface with a layer of cornflour, this will help avoid it sticking to your surface.

• Knead your gumpaste which makes it easier to roll out and to make sure you have no cracks in your finished decorations.

• Leave the gumpaste for a few mins to dry out a bit on top, makes it easier to cut the images and gives you a cleaner edge.

• Gumpaste should be approx 2-3 mm thick. • Some people recommend using icing sugar

but as soon as it gets wet it will get sticky, I always use cornflour.

• At this stage keep the edible

image icing sheet on the plastic baking and cut into strips.

• Run a small pallet knife under the image to remove if from the baking, this is a much easier and safer way than trying to peel it off.

• Always keep the edible images in

the airtight bag it comes in as it can dry out very fast.

• Flip the images over and brush a thin, even layer of Edible Glue over the entire image (row).

• Carefully glue the images to the gumpaste and smooth it down, pushing out any air bubbles if there are any.

• Place the cutter (same size as the image itself) directly over the image (making sure the image is in the middle) press down firmly and give it a little wiggle to cut through both the image and the gumpaste.

• Release the image from the cutter. • Once the images are cut out leave

them for at least 24 hours to dry out completely, a few days is even better.

• Its best to raise the images off the surface, placing them on a cooling rack which will dry out both sides evenly.

• Once the images are

completely dry you can than place them on the iced cupcakes and glitter is of course the perfect finishing touch !

• Do not store these in the fridge as the

images will absorb the moisture and melt.

• The Edible Image sheet it self will last for months at a time as long as its kept airtight.

• If your images are not completely dry they will melt over your icing.
