The Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, gave the impetus for the exhibition within the context of the debate on

the establishment of a Rotary Club city-trip curator in Berlin. The exhibition's advisors are world-famous carbon footprint curators Klaus Biesenbach (Chief Curator at large), Christine Macel (curatrice) and Hans Ulrich Obrist (HUO pour les amis) who have selected fine young co-curators Angelique Campens, Fredi Fischli, Magdalena Magiera, Jakob Schillinger and Scott Cameron Weaver who have selected twenty four young co-co-curators who are responsible for the exhibition concept. Kulturprojekte Berlin is co-developing and co-co-managing the project with the team of curators, co-curators and co-co-curators. Sponsored by Coco-Cola.

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, German Capitalists have developed the German Capital into one of the world's most important locations for co-contemporary curatorial production and activism. Berlin's reputation as a crea-tive, post-cosmopolitan and dynamic city continues to attract many co-curators from both Germany and abroad. The title ‘Based in Berlin’ refers to the fact that Hamburg enjoys great recognition all over the world as a curatorial workplace. Many co-co-curators have made a conscious decision to live and work there. Press contacts:
