First we went on a tour of Woolworths. In the tour we learnt about the bakery, the butchers and went into one of the cool rooms that was ‐20 degrees. We learnt that the deli has more fresh meat than on the shelves and got to make fruit kebabs. At the Ɵp the organic waste has to be leŌ in the sun to dry out. They have to check the temperature four Ɵmes a day to make sure it does not go up in flames! In a humungous sieve they sort out all the useful mulch and you can buy it for your garden. At Centrepoint arcade we located all the recycling bins. We met Grant, the manager of Forum 6 Cinemas. We told him all our ideas for helping the environment. He would like to try out using reusable straws and reusable cups. I thought the Ɵp was the most interesƟng because I learnt rubbish produces methane. By Angus Corr See inside for photos.
