Learning TipWhile it is important to encourage and support your child's efforts to learn English, research shows that children who are read to in their native language will have an easier time learning to read in their second language (such as English).
Parent-‐Teacher ConferencesIn the United States a conference is a scheduled time where you sit down and meet with your child’s teacher. It is important that you attend fall conferences to find out how your child is performing in school. Please be on time since the time is limited. If you need a translator for conferences, please inform your child’s teacher.
