January 2016
This sacred gathering will begin with worship and the Lord’s Supper. After a time of corporate prayer in the Worship Center, we will gather in Sunday School rooms to pray for those in our class and the requests they’ve submitted. Join us for a powerful evening of prayer as we ask God to reveal His glory among us as He does a great work in our lives and saves those who are lost for whom He has given us a burden.

Answers to Questions About HeAven by David JeremiahLed by Marian Ayers in Room 210 @ 4:00 p.m.
When it comes to heaven, you have questions; the Bible has answers. Heaven is mentioned more than 500 times in Scripture, for God wants us to envision and anticipate the place He’s planning for His children.
More tHAn A CArpenter by Josh McDowellLed by Steve Claiborne in Room 320 @ 6:30 p.m.
Staunch skeptic Josh McDowell set out to disprove the claims of Christ, and thus, Christianity, but surprisingly discovered evidence to the contrary which he could not refute. After placing his faith in the same belief system he had hoped to destroy, McDowell began to affirm that its founder; beyond being a first-century Hebrew carpenter, was indeed the God He declared to be. Journey with us as we explore why the claims of the Bible are trustworthy.
oiKos evAnGeLisM CLAssLed by Pastor Steve Hogg in Room 308 @ 6:30 p.m.
“OIKOS Evangelism” is a simple and practical strategy for sharing the love of Jesus with people you already know. Modeled in the New Testament by Jesus and the early church, it remains the most effective method for reaching the lost. During this class you will learn the principles of “OIKOS Evangelism” and develop personal plans for reaching those you know and care about who need Je-sus. Whether you’re an experienced “soul winner” or a shy person who has never witnessed to another person, this class will help you become a more effective witness for Jesus.
LeADinG ADuLt sunDAy sCHooL witH purposeLed by Steve Polk in Room 315 @ 6:30 p.m.
Sunday School is where the work of the church really takes place. We connect in relationships, pray for one another, support one another, minister to one another, challenge each other to serve, and study the Bible in a safe learning environment. This is a leadership development course where we will develop the elements of a great Sunday School. All current leaders as well as others who may lead are encouraged to attend.
LADies’ bibLe stuDy pArt one: DestinAtions by Andy stanleyLed by Debbie Ivey in Room 319 @ 6:30 p.m.
We all have places we want to end up in life. Yet the paths we choose often lead us away from our intended destinations. One poor decision can send us down the wrong road, crushing our dreams, and wasting years of our lives. As time passes, we look back wondering how we got off course, and how we can recover from broken dreams.
LADies’ bibLe stuDy pArt two: tiMe of your Life by Andy stanleyBegins February 24th
What time is it? Where did all the time go? Does time really fly when you’re having fun? Maybe we think about time so much because there never seems to be enough of it. Maybe there’s only one question we need to ask: “What am I doing with my time?” Simple question? Easy answer? It’s time you found out.
Men’s Group: wiLD At HeArt by John eldredgeLed by David Sloan in Room 317 @ 6:30 p.m.
Every boy dreams of being the hero, defeating the bad guys, or rescuing the damsel in distress. But what happens to those dreams when boys become men? When we ask what is a Christian man? In most churches, what we see are men who are bored. Rekindle the great adventure of biblical manhood that is Wild at Heart.

Join Dr. Alan Myatt, Professor of Theology at Gordon Conwell Seminary, in discovering how to live and converse from a Christian perspective in an increasingly unchristian world. Sessions in this class will also deal with other world religions such as Islam and Mormonism and how to have effective conversations with people you may know.

Are you ready to shake up your prayer life forever? Often when God speaks, He will echo the same message through a sermon, a passage of Scripture, a chance conversation, or an unexpected encounter. When we begin looking for these sacred echoes, we are better able to recognize God’s voice in our life and walk more confidently in the fullness of all God has for us.
