Operations Teams

Stewards support the many other teams that serve on a Sunday morning to help things run securely,

smoothly and safely.

- Security of the campus including unlocking prior to 1st service and lock up at end of

activities.

- Setup of some basic equipment and chairs.

- Tidy up of pathways and walkways leading to main church entries.

- Parking assistance – with traffic cones and signage put out.

- Attendance counting and security of money.

- Cleaning assistance to keep our church campus presented well for all those that use it

during the week and weekend. Specific help needed to regularly empty bins, vacuum

different areas, clean restrooms, mop floors, clean windows.

- Aim is that we would establish a roster or break the areas up into zones that you might take

ownership for.

- Ongoing maintenance of our lawns, gardens and exterior areas.

- Skilled help with maintenance of some equipment to keep items operating well for other

teams.

- Handy people that can assist on different projects from time to time – specialist help is often

needed for painting, plumbing, electrical projects.

- Thorough clean & tidy of kitchen once every 3 months.

- Photographers needed to capture images from different church events and to help get them

into a format ready for distribution in the appropriate channels in print or online.

- Finance team assistance to help with banking or data entry.

- Assist department with small design jobs or Microsoft Office jobs.

- Assist counting giving in an accountable and thorough way, ensuring funds given are

secured.

- Open and set up Resource Centre - Manage the till and balance money at the end of the day - Find and recommend appropriate resources to people. - Operate computer and record sales, orders and messages in Excel - Assist with enquiries about The City - there is training for this if you need it.

Activate Youth Team

- Helps to prepare and set up awesome games that help teach and disciple principles from

the Bible to our youth.

- Helps operate and oversee games in various ways. Will receive training.

- Sound operator: mixes the sound of the worship band so that levels of each instrument

complement each other to produce a nice sound.

- Lighting operator: operates the lighting console to compliment moments during worship but

also performs lighting cues so the speaker knows when to do something.

- Words operator: put up lyrics to the praise and worship songs so the youth and the band

during rehearsal and the service. (Time required: 5:30-8:30)

- DDR operator: plays videos on the screens, plays power points or pictures to be displayed as

well as backgrounds for praise and worship songs.

- Video operator: films what is happening so that it can be displayed on the large screens.

- Distribute flyers and forms on Friday night to the youth.

- Promotes the flyers containing upcoming events relevant to Activate youth.

- Hangs up at the beginning of the night large flyers around the auditorium and removes them

at the end of the night.

- Performs tasks to assist the youth assistant/programmer.

- Hands out program sheets to band, technical team and leaders, hangs up serve roster.

- Double checks that the flyer promoters have the flyers and hand out sheets.

- Assist the youth assistant/programmer to transport the leader’s boxes, youth box and

welcome packs to the auditorium.
