Expert in the use of Stereotaxic apparatus, spectrophotometer, immunehistochemistry, histopathology, section cutting and staining, electrophoresis (PAGE, Agarose), DNA isolation, & Western blotting.

Extensive experience in the induction of Cerebral Ischemia in rats and mice animal models.

Expert in the induction of Parkinson disease in rats by 6-OHDA model, induction of Alzheimer’s disease in rats model by Streptozotocin model.

Expertise in Neurobehavioral techniques: Morris water maze, Jumping box, Cook’s climbing pole, Video-path analyzer, Rota-rod, Grip test etc.

Expert in handling of animals (Albino Wistar rats and Swiss Albino mice) for the study and Treatment with drugs, ip, iv, im and sc injections, identification and dissection of brain parts.

Professional Experiences:

2010-till date : Assistant Professor Faculty of Pharmacy, Jazan University, Jazan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.2006-2010 : 4 years worked on Cerebral Ischemia in rat and mice (MCAO model, Longa et. al. 1989) and Parkinson’s disease in Neurotoxicology Lab, Department of Toxicology, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, INDIA.

Worked on the projects related to ischemia and Parkinson disease and their protection by some herbal extracts, active principles and nanocurcumin.

During these projects I had done various enzymatic and non-enzymatic parameters like GPx, GR, GST, SOD, Catalase, GSH, LPO etc., neurobehavioral test like Spontaneous Motor Activity, Flexion test, Rota rod, Grip Test etc., Evans Blue staining, TTC staining, Histopathology and Immunohistochemistry.
