UAE Experience I have spent the last 6 months in the UAE familiarizing myself with the local business environment. I have run a small consulting firm conducting Free Zone Licensing, which has given me insight into business practices in the UAE. I am familiar with all UAE business Zones including the permitted business activities and the fundamentals behind the creation of the various Free Zones. I have also familiarized myself with LLC and Offshore business structures. During this time I have also become familiar with UAE Visa system and the operation of the UAE banking system.

Achievements/Transactions - Sale of 48 Martin Place, & 9-19 Elizabeth Street, Sydney from the

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (Australia’s largest retail bank) to Macquarie (Australia’s largest investment bank) for $150 Million AUD.

- Identified that Macquarie required new premises and devised a strategy to sell rather than lease the aforementioned buildings, allowing the end purchaser to purchase the building, do a bespoke refurbishment and use their covenant to improve the overall value estimated at $300M AUD.
