The role of the professor in charge is to provide strategic direction and leadership to the office and to position and represent the office internationally, nationally and at all PAN IIT international meets. The Professor in charge works closely with the colleagues to ensure a coherent vision across all the academic departments of the institute, and works with the conference of colleagues to ensure proper management and administration of placement scenario of the institute and plays a key role in devising and implementing the necessary changes in the academic curriculum which is conducive to the needs and demands of current industrial environment. The Professor in charge is also committed towards improving the skills of students which might benefit them to take up the right career path and also towards organizing workshops in order to foster industry-student interaction.
