Two SU faculty conducted a site visit to

both UR Kigali and Gashora, Rwanda to

advance community and university

partnerships through health promotion

activities in Gashora, and initiating a

robust and long term College of Nursing

faculty development program at UR. Two

SUCON graduate nursing students were

engaged in the development and provision

of culturally-appropriate, community-

centered health promotion activities as well

as research assistance in collecting URCoN

faculty focus group data. This project had

an SU IRB exemption. Follow-up funding

will be sought to continue the

collaboration.
