INTRODUCTION

AOC Resins recently completed construction on their LEED Certified Corporate

Headquarters in Collierville, TN. AOC looked to Interactive Solutions, Inc. to integrate video

conferencing and other audio-visual technologies into the corporations meeting rooms and

CHALLENGE

When AOC made the decision to construct a new corporate headquarters, they knew a

strong focus of the building would be adequate conference and meeting room capacities.

In the past, AOC had a shortage of meeting space and the rooms were poorly designed to

meet the required tasks of employees. AOC also wanted to create ease of use for

employees, which would help create better efficiencies for the information technology

department. AOC turned to ISI to design and install these rooms.

SOLUTION

AOC chose Interactive Solutions to design and integrate their conference and training

rooms . Based on the direction of Allen Brown, Director of IT Operations, ISI created room

templates in which the directors of each department could add or remove desired

equipment to achieve specific functionality for each of the conference rooms. By

designing the rooms uniformly, AOC would be able to teach employees how to use the

technology that controls all of the conference rooms and feel comfortable using the

equipment in each of the different conference rooms with little help from the IT

department.

EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS

Interactive Solutions, Inc. strove to fully meet the desired finished solutions that AOC put

before the company. “By taking initiative and being proactive with the design and

installation of the rooms, we were able to focus on transferring the many other systems

the department manages to the new facility,” said Allen Brown, Director of IT Operations.

“We didn’t feel as though we had to guide ISI along with each step of implementation of

the rooms. The installation team was flexible working with the construction schedule and

worked to ensure that we had at least 2 fully functional rooms available in the building

during our move-in process.“ Mr. Brown also commented on the different templates

created to customize the rooms, “By making the rooms comparable to each other, the

speed of installation and approval was accelerated.”

AOC tasked ISI with installing digital signage within the headquarters.

AOC utilizes this technology within their welcoming lobby to inform visitors about their company and to welcome expected guests.
