Sal, your tour guide, will receive you at the Airport. Following the meet and greet, you will be brought to your hotel for checking in and getting some rest before meeting Sal again at around 12 PM;. First you will surely be wanting to enjoy some lunch before the actual tour begins; Sal recommends to get a quick lunch at one of the fast food type of panorama restaurant in the city centre; they offer all kind of wide selection vegetarian buffet and multiple freshly prepared international and local specialities. After lunch, you will begin your sightseeing tour of Zurich. Sal’s sightseeing tour will take you for a full and complete orientation of Zurich’s most well preserved medieval town, covering the best of the East and the West side of Zurich’s old town, visit most the major attractions in the city and of course, all the photography vantage points in Zurich, the university Lake side and one of the main areal panorama view point for a spectacular view of Zurich’s gorgeous landscape. On this tour you will embark into a journey to explore the most prettiest and gorgeous places in the region of Central Switzerland, Schwyz, Luzern and get to see the most magnificent alpine and lakes in the region of 4 cantons around Central Switzerland, providing you a bind blowing experience that you will surely remember lifelong.

Luzern First

Your guide Sal will meet you in your hotel lobby at 9:30 am. You’ll begin your unforgettable day with a scenic drive to Switzerland’s most visited city, Luzern. Situated between a magnificent lake and the gorgeous Swiss Alps, with its picturesque Carnival and medieval town, Luzern is a place which boasts numerous attractions and fun activities for all types of visitors. These include the famous Chapel Bridge (a decorative, 13th century wooden bridge), the Lion Monument, Lake Luzern Promenade, and many other

points of interest, including baroque churches and medieval castles. At midday you will enjoy lunch at river-side, well known place for delicious Swiss food; you may like to go for a relaxing stroll around the lake, enjoy your lunch with the lake view and also enjoy a bit of shopping in Luzern.

Journey through the spectacular Lake of Vierwaldstättersee (Lake of 4 Cantons)

The journey will take you through gorgeous villages, full of surprises, including town of Weggis, boasting Mark Twain as one of its illustrious past residents. Sal has been photographing in this region exclusively for many years and so he will lead you on the route taken by professional photographers and make few stops at authentic photographic vantage points before arriving in Weggis to catch your first cable car ride which takes off at 3:10 PM;

Queen of all mountains (5’ 898 ft.) and gorgeous Inner Switzerland

After reaching the first stop with a cable car, you take another ride further up; this time, in a 100-year-old cogwheel train taking you all the way the up to the peak. “Queen of the Mountains.” Relish incredible views from this magnificent vantage point, as you enjoy a coffee and snack at the panorama restaurant. Following this memorable experience, you’ll return to Weggis at around 6:15 PM; you will then continue a spectacular scenic drive through Sal’s photography path that is bound to absolutely amuse everyone.

The Swiss Chocolate Experience – Enjoy the making of Swiss chocolates

Your memorable journey to visit family owned chocolate factory will begin at 9:00 AM. Taking the costal scenic route along the Lake of Zurich, surrounded by many villages, towns and richest villas of Switzerland we will arrive at the chocolate factory just around 10:00 AM to begin your “chocolate Experience”.

Started in 1962 in the alpine village of Glarus, Läderach is one of the first company that started to sell chocolate directly out of the factory to the end consumers. In this factory

which was acquired from Merkur you will be taken through the steps to see the production of fine collections of chocolates that will be an eye-catching experience as well get to taste the chocolates that are of very special kind. The tour of the chocolate factory is estimated to lasts for 60 minutes.

Visiting Liechtenstein (Vaduz)

Following your visit to the chocolate factory, we begin our journey through the alpine region of Vaduz at around 11:30 AM, arriving in Liechtenstein by noon; it’s a perfect time to enjoy relaxing lunch at local authentic speciality cuisine. Thereafter, take few photos at major highlights of this little country where Europe’s one of the wealthiest inhabitants live.

Visiting Dornbirn (Austria)

After your relaxing lunch break and some awesome photoshooting in Liechtenstein, we will start for Austria (Dornbirn) at around quarter to 2 PM and shall reach Dornbirn at around 2:45 PM. This marvellous journey itself from Liechtenstein to Dornbirn is an eye opening experience and shows you the beauty that this part of the world truly beholds. Plan your activity ahead with your friend for couple of hours and thereafter we shall go for another spectacular journey and this time, visit the neighbouring town by the Lake

Bodensee – the Bregenz, a must see coastal village that is only 15 minutes away from Dornbirn.

Returning via St. Gallen or Appenzell

There are many stunningly beautiful path one can take to return to Zurich from Austria. Bern First

Your tour will start from the door step of your hotel in Zurich at 08:30 AM and we will take a scenic drive to arrive in Bern at around 10 AM. Upon arrival at Bern, you will enjoy a coffee break with your family with a spectacular view of the capital city from the hilltop. After your relaxing break and photo shooting at the garden filled with 75000 roses, we will drive through the main attractions of Bern. Thereafter, we depart the city centre towards the Bernese alpine region of Thun.

Visit the region of 72 waterfall and the Trummelbach Fall

As we take off from Spiez the entire journey will keep you and your family awake and you will want to stop every minute of the journey, this will be the path Sal will take to bring you to the valley of Lauterbrunnen which sits between the alps of the magnificent Jungfrau. Lautherbrunnen as the name represents (Lauter meaning loud and brunnen means fall) is a place where the roar of the 72 waterfall from the region fills up the atmosphere.

Trummelbach Fall

Although it is not possible to see and cover every single fall in Lauterbrunnen, one name worth mentioning is Trummelbach Fall which is worth a visit. No other fall on earth is as spectacular as this one where 25’000 liters of water per second flows from the source of the 3 magnificant glaciers of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau and that too can be seen from various vantage points, inside a mountain cave. The visit inside such a cave with loud roar of the fall can be extremely thrilling while once in a life time experience. For those who would not like the challenge can stay back and enjoy a coffee break at the restaurant.

VISIT TO TOP OF EUROPE

Visit to Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe - 11332, 02 feet)

The Jungfraujoch is an alpine attraction and viewing point, at an altitude of 3454 m. It is located in between the well-known mountains Mönch and Jungfrau, in the heart of the UNESCO Natural World Heritage property "Jungfrau - Aletsch - Bietschhorn".

Visiting Jungfrau will allow you to see the Great Aletsch Glacier, huge river of ice that stretches over 23 km from its formation in the Jungfrau region (at 4000 m) down to the Massa Gorge, around 2500 m below, fascinates and inspires every visitor. It’s Europe’s

largest Glacier that is 11’000 years old.

Train to Jungfrau will depart at 08:24 and you shall arrive at the Top of Europe by 09:35. Once up here, you will enjoy a 360° full panorama view, both from the terrace and from the comfort of a building with panoramic windows. The Ice Palace with many wonderful ice sculptures, is once in a lifetime experience too. So enjoy your time here at your own leisure.

Enjoy lunch at Kleine Scheidegg

At around 11:43 PM you depart Jungfraujoch station to arrive at Kleine Scheidegg. Located at 2,061 m and between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks, this is probably the best place to break for lunch due to their best Swiss “Rösti” lunch. Following your lunch and relaxing time at Kleine Scheidegg, you board on the train to Grindelwald which departs 13:33 PM and arrives in Grindelwald at 14:12 PM.

Grindelwald

The Eiger village of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland lies embedded in a welcoming and green hollow, surrounded by a commanding mountain-scape with the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn. This mountain-scape and the numerous lookout points and activities make Grindelwald one of the most popular and cosmopolitan holiday and excursion destinations in Switzerland, and of course, the largest ski resort in the Jungfrau region.

Note: Sal will not join you to go up to the Jungfraujoch; idea is that you will go up to Jungfraujoch from Lauterbrunnen side but you will return back to Grindelwald where you will meet Sal. The idea is not to only see Jungfraujoch, you will get to see the entire region of Jungfraujoch and see everything there’s to see, in the convenient of being driven by Sal all around the gorgeous region of Bernese Alps, Grindelwald, Jungfrau and the great Interlaken valleys.

Evening in Interlaken

Following your visit to Jungfraujoch, we will depart for Interlaken – the Bollywood city of Switzerland. With spectacular backdrop of the Mt. Jungfraujoch, the town of Interlaken will be a great place to stop and do some Bollywood style picture shooting. One fascinating thing to do while in Interlaken is to take the funicular to the Harder Kulm for a spectacular view of Interlaken. Thereafter, enjoy your dinner in Interlaken before returning to Bern.

In bad weather where the visit to Jungfraujoch may not be enjoyable, you will have equally fascinating experience by visiting couple of most amazing places in the region of Interlaken.

Visit to St. Beatus Caves

High above Lake Thun lie the limestone caves of St. Beatus: a marvel of nature millions of years old that never ceases to astonish its visitors.

Legend has it that these limestone caves once served as a refuge for St. Beatus, who it is said drove away the dragon who live there in the 6th century. Even today the Caves of St. Beatus still exude a special power with their gorges, impressive halls and waterfalls, providing an out of this world experience for people of all age.

Visiting Geneva

Your spectacular journey visiting Geneva will begin at 08:30 AM from the door step of your hotel. Upon arrival in Geneva, we will first enjoy a coffee break. Thereafter, enjoy the sightseeing of Geneva for first couple of hours before enjoying your relaxing lunch. On this tour we will cover all the major attractions of Geneva including, the Lake side Promonade, the Palais des Nation, the Jet d’Eau, L'horloge fleurie, or the flower clock, is an outdoor flower clock located on the western side of Jardin Anglais park in Geneva, the famous

“broken chair”, most famous shopping street of Geneva and all famous landmarks and architectures.

Following your tour of Geneva or before or in-between sightseeing excursion, you may allocate 1 hour time to visit either of the following:

Visiting Vevey

Vevey is one of the “Pearls of the Swiss Riviera”. Its lakeside location with breathtaking views of the Alpine panorama, its extraordinarily mild climate, the vineyards, numerous excursion destinations in the region and proud paddlewheel steamers on the lake characterise this town by Lake Geneva. Taking a beautiful journey from Geneva by the lake side we shall reach Vevey at around twenty past three.

Vevey experienced its first heyday in the belle époch period at the end of the 19th century. Even today, majestic hotels and a flower-bedecked lakeside promenade lined with palm trees continue to serve as reminders of this age. But Vevey is also a modern, regional centre which is headquarters to Nestlé, the international Food and Beverage Group. Its most famous inhabitant was probably the comedian Charlie Chaplin, who spent the last twenty five years of his life here. A monument dedicated to him stands on the lakeshore. If you wish to spend time visiting the house and museum of Charlie Chaplin you may find the information here. In case, you decide not to go for the museum, you will save an hour and 30 minutes and instead visit another famous city of Lausanne after Montreux (Lausanne is currently not part of this tour program).

The Montreux Riviera

The town of Montreux nestles in a sheltered Lake Geneva bay, surrounded by vineyards and against the breath-taking backdrop of snow-covered Alps. The Montreux Jazz Festival, which takes place in June/July and features concerts on a variety of stages and parks is very famous. The long, flower-bordered lake promenade which links Vevey and Montreux going all the way to Chillon Castle is simply asking to be strolled along.

Cultural events, such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, as well as countless excursion options to the mountainous hinterland or on the lake make Montreux the most popular excursion and holiday destination. Many of the houses along the lakeside road, including the magnificent Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, date from the heyday of the Belle Epoque. All of this makes Montreux a definitive and a must visit place. We will spend good amount of time photographing and strolling along the coast of Montreux, unless of course, you want to visit the Jazz festival! Duration of the tour The duration of the day tour in the Lake Geneva and the Vaud region is estimated to be around 11.5 hours but this will also include the coffee breaks, 1.15 hours each for dinner and lunch during which, Sal your tour guide is with you all the time but for which he does not charge.
