“Cute Kid NYC”, Jr. Blackbelt Wins Miss Pre-Teen Philadelphia King of Prussia, PA - The 2013 Miss Pre-Teen Philadelphia title has been awarded to 11-year-old Emilie Cochrane of Langhorne, PA. Miss Cochrane competed alongside many of greater Philadelphia’s most well-rounded and talented young ladies between the ages of ten and twelve. The Miss Pre-Teen Philadelphia Pageant is a self-enhancement pageant competition focusing on inner beauty, confidence, and personality. The competition was held in November at the Upper Merion High School Auditorium. This Pre-Teen is anything but ordinary. She holds many interests such as singing, musical theater and modeling. Miss Cochrane is also a gymnast and athlete. Winning the Miss Pre-Teen title is not her first achievement, but she does think of it as a rewarding one. I think the most rewarding part was that I was recognized for just being me. I didn't have to be like anyone else. I feel that the experienced increased my self confidence and my ability to be in front of an audience,” Emilie explains. “The day of the Pageant one short term goal was to make the Top Ten. I never imagined I would win.” Among Emilie’s next goals for herself, is starting a group in her school which promotes against bullying. She looks forward to becoming a professional performer while still being an active part of community service in her neighborhood. Miss Cochrane will be gearing up for the 2013 National Competition where she will represent herself and her hometown and compete for thousands of dollars in cash scholarships and prizes. The National Competition is scheduled to commence in December 11th-16th, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. For media, endorsement, and sponsorship opportunities, contact Jennifer at [email protected] .
