Children are the hands by

which we take hold of heaven

The soul is healed by being with children

If we are to teach real peace in this

world, and if we are to carry on a

real war against war, we shall have

to begin with the children

No one has yet fully realized the

wealth of sympathy, kindness and

generosity hidden in the soul of a

child. The effort of every true

education should be to unlock that

treasure.

If we could destroy custom at a

blow and see the stars as a child

sees them, we should need no

other apocalypse

Children are the brightest

treasures we bring forth into this

world.

The pursuit of truth and beauty is a

sphere of activity in which we are

permitted to remain children all our lives.

We find delight in the beauty and

happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body.

Do not train a child to learn by force

or harshness, but direct them to it by

what amuses their minds, so that

you may be better able to discover

with accuracy the peculiar bent of

the genius of each.

The first duty to children is to make

them happy. If you have not made

them so, you have wronged them.

No other good they may get can

make up for that.
