Mufti Day (Friday 14th October 2016) We will raise money for charity on Mufti Day - Friday 14th October 2016. We would like students to come to school in school uniform or mufti. Those who come to school in mufti are required to donate at least N1000. Students who come to school in any of these items will be denied access to the college: revealing clothes, tight clothes, distressed denim, skirts or shorts that are above the knee, spaghetti tops, strapless tops, sagging trousers and crop tops.
An interesting country, Nigeria
Our students carried out research and discovered interesting facts about Nigeria. We collated the facts and created a discovery area. Did you know that:
• 7% of the world’s languages are spoken in Nigeria • The Yorubas and their bloodlines worldwide have the highest rate of
twinning (having twins) in the world • Nigeria has the largest number of butterfly species in the world
Why not visit our discovery area (in the secondary school building). Get to know Nigeria! Independence Day celebration As expected, the Independence Day celebration was both informative and entertaining. Our students showcased their many talents. We thank parents for their presence and contribution to the successful celebration. Although a long weekend is ahead, we expect students to be very busy. Next week is Assessment Week! The Team at Edgewood College
PS: You will find many pictures of the Independence Day celebration and the Visiting Day on the following pages.
