Working for KOTC Kuwait oil tanker the maritime daughter company for Kuwait petroleum corporation KPC.
My responsibilities as 3rd Eng :
Engine Room operator and watch keeper
Complete maintenance for DG (YANMAR 8EY26LW) according to RHS and maker maintenance schedule.
Complete maintenance for boilers ( MITSUBISHI MAC- HB) WATER TUBE – 21 bars.
Complete maintenance for waste heat recovery system , HP and LP drums, exhaust gas economizer.
Steam system maintenance for pumps, pipe lines, condensers.
Consider as the chemical officer onboard , inventory , ROB control.
Water test and treatment for Boiler , HP, LP, condensate water, in addition to HT, LT FW cooling water.
FW potable water , system including FW generators, silver sterilizers , ion sterilizers and re hardening filters.
Sewage plant
Emergency generator maintenance
ME injectors , air starting valve, HP pipes, indicator cocks.
Cargo and Ballast turbine coupling oil change (ER side – and assist in pump room side).

3E - FSO Jerash (from 01/11/2007 to 09/05/2008 ) :
Its VLCC steam tanker, previous owner was Bergesen; now Jordan government is the owner and ship management for Arab ship management. The prime mover is high pressure boiler 64 bars and the main operation is discharging 24/7.
the ship automation was in bad condition , so I’ve got a great experience in boiler trips and troubles in addition to manual operation
My responsibilities:
Operate and control Engine Room machineries.
Boiler water tests and chemical treatments.
Boiler maintenance
Burners' maintenance (HFO, DO burners).
Responsible for Diesel generators and turbo alternator maintenance.
Lub. oil tests

Heaters and coolers maintenance 3E - AHT seaways 10 (from 14/05/2007 to 20/08/2007) : New anchor handling tug, CPP plant, ocean towing at Angola built in 2005, owned by seaways int’l in UAE, Multinational crew, located at Angola. My responsibilities:

Its VLCC steam tanker, the prime mover high pressure boiler 60 bars. The Previous owner was Bergesen. The tanker was converted to FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) at 2001 and fully automated by this Time.now, owned by HESS CORPRATION and crew staffing agent WOOD GROUP in USA (Multinational crew), My responsibility:
Watch keeper and operator for engine room machineries
water tests and chemicals treatment
Monitoring and control the systems through ABB and SAACKE boiler control monitoring & automatic control system
Daily, weekly and monthly routines as per the manuals and SAP work orders.
