UUK Delivery Lead responsible for implementing engineering solutions to resolve safety significant shortfalls identified within COSER on active E23 plant, meeting regulatory requirements necessitating plant modifications.

Management of Atkins contract (8 ppl.) to provide over £1million worth of support to the UUK E23 COSER programme.

Delivery of key safety case supporting documentation (to enable continued plant operation)

Management of integrated engineering teams to develop and implement engineering solutions on four aspects of plant to meet regulatory requirements in line with UUK processes, cost and timescale restrictions. Accountable to project owner.

Coordination of communication between project stakeholders and engineering team, including change control.

Implementation and utilisation of active project risk management.

Instigation of project Quality Assurance process (QA) and implementing its compliance within project outputs.

Generation and maintenance of live project schedule and resource loading.

Atkins Project Manager Responsibilities:

Effective resource utilisation of multi-discipline Atkins team (8-10 personnel, several offices) within project budget to work on behalf of UUK and implement engineering solutions on plant (Project Value >£1million).

Securement of contract extension in line with client requirements.

Financial Management and accountability.

Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) Operating Licence Application (OLA) Project Manager (Oct 2014 – May 2015)

Accountable for delivery of OLA Submission Supporting Documents to regulator; meeting ENEC Operational Milestone.

Coordination and interaction with multiple senior stakeholders to ensure eleven supporting documents required for operating license application to regulator delivered on time to agreed scope and quality.

Reporting weekly Key Performance Indicators of Operating License Application project to senior management.

Communication focal point between engineering teams in Korea, Barakah site (BNPP), Abu Dhabi, facilitating transfer of information and generation of weekly status updates.

Coordinator of pre-submittal executive meeting and appropriate executive close out of actions generated.

Risk Management: working with engineering team to define and assess consequence of impact of all risks and issues impacting on OLA submission. Identification of suitable risk management actions to resolve, ensuring these are achieved & appropriately communicated to individual owners and management.

ENEC Final Safety Analysis Report Review Technical Project Management Support (July 2014 – Oct 2014)

Generation of appropriate and succinct comment forms to return to KEPCO (Reactor vendor and prime contractor).

Atkins project manager for the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) review support team coordinating the collation and disposition of significant numbers of FSAR review comments (over 2000) from numerous technical stakeholders.

EDF Energy Secondment SBERG Project Manager (Nov 2013 – June 2014)

Fleetwide Implementation of standardised System Based Emergency Response Guidelines (SBERG) procedures for each EDF Energy power station (7), tailored to each station whilst maintaining an overall fleet consistency.

Management of five technical authors and station & technical stakeholders (>30) to deliver a station specific procedure, associated regulatory documentation & training, whilst maintaining a fleetwide consistent approach

Delivery within budget (c£0.5m) to align with closure of EDF Japanese Earthquake Response Programme.
