Achievements Issued and awarded over 200 construction, services, technology and
material contracts in excess of $300 million.
Established a technically complex contractual model for helicopter
maintenance services as a result of engaging in in-depth analysis on
industry practice, financial and operational data which ultimately
delivered enhanced commercial benefits for Powerlink and the supplier.
Provided recommendations for appointment of material contract
suppliers (Circuit Breakers, Insulators, Conductor, Voltage Capacitors,
to name a few) which involved extensive analysis of overseas currency
variations and CPI forecasting throughout the duration of the contracts.
Established a multi-faceted Panel for the Provision of Temporary
Labour which involved a lengthy negotiation process in order to achieve
consistent terms and conditions that were agreed to by each agency
(twelve agencies were invited to join the panel).
Strategically planned contractual model which would allow 33,000
transmission towers throughout the geographical footprint of
transmission lines in Queensland, to have their identification and
warning signs replaced within a 100 day window of opportunity.
Responsibilities Providing commercial advice to senior management, at the strategic
and operational level, on the preparation, issue, analysis and award of
panel, period and project contracts.

Coordination and performance of commercial analysis relating to tender
responses including market positioning, whole of life costs, strategic
objectives of the organisation and commercial considerations.

Assessing tenderer’s capability and capacity to perform work and
compiling recommendations after analysis/consideration of each
