Program management for deployment of a group of BSM products, allowing the customer to gain a holistic view of the customers multiple consumer environments. The projects objective was to design then deploy a solution able to manage each servers from an operational perspective while dynamically gather inventory and configuration data of any machines/system within the customer environment. The system was built to accommodate between 8000 and 12000 servers across different customers domains, OS types and applications.

Headed up project for stress testing of an application in given environment in a controlled manner with 10 000 simultaneous users. Monitoring tools were used to report back to the customer about the results. The customer’s goal to add a new site (Hospital) on the existing environment was achieved.

The main goal with this project was to gain better control and increase the quality of data recorded about internal and external telecom environment (HW and SW). The customer needed to increase the ability to scale upward and to increase the flexibility with the production platform. The results of this activities was less and easier daily operations and more effective production of customer services. A reference environment was established, scripts were developed and the test procedures were documented for sign off. The customers’ employees were educated in test procedures and the testing was conducted by the customers’ employees together with the vendors’ consultants.

DnBNOR bought an agentless monitoring tool to gain control and stabilize their banking services. I was hired to collect and analyze different needs and get an overview of problems from the different departments in the bank. The goal was to configure the monitoring application to monitor transactions between end-users and the servicing applications. The result was a set of dynamic reports generating data about the real end-user experience of using the banking services. The reports

pointed out areas of poor response and the bank was now able to drill down to the single transaction that was causing the problem in each case.

Project consisted of, among other things, centralization of technical platform for tax auditors and office support solutions. Procurement and development of new menu based system on the AIX platform. Upgrade of AIX, NT and Citrix server systems, as well as MS Office and other client side systems, including standard templates, etc. Implementation of solution based on IBM’s Tivoli-products for operations and monitoring.

The project goals were: • Improved resource utilization across all IRS offices. • Reduction of the IRS’s operations and communications costs. • A more up to date and operations friendly menu-system. • Improved data security.

Area of responsibility / ProjectITR: Internal project aiming to increase competence on HP OpenView products. An internal OpenView environment was created for testing and self-study and knowledge on the products transferred to other consultants in the company. Norwegian Directorate of Immigration Development of complete operations and systems surveillance solutions based on Unicenter technology. Solutions for systems monitoring, software distribution, inventory control and remote control were implemented. Further, the project included documentation, development of systems routines, and concept for solution roll-out in UDI’s distributed environment. The project was eventually rolled back due to financial concerns within UDI. Nordea: Implementing solution for monitoring Nordea’s thin-client environment. Operations routines and documentation were developed for the monitoring solution, as well as existing solutions for software distribution and inventory control.Telenor IT-Operations: Development of monitoring of database solutions on the UNIX platform. Further, a central surveillance console was created to ease the monitoring of up-times and general health status of the database environment. Solution was based on Unicenter’s agent- and monitoring technology.
