( Joint Venture of NDC & CAMEOS.)

Period: - April 2011 to date

Position Held: - Principal Quality Control Engineer.

Project - ENGINEERIING PROCUREMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF DARAWAT

DAM PROJECT.

Project Introduction: -This project includes Construction of Concrete gravity dam and

irrigation system consist of 45 km long Concrete Lined irrigation

channel, Aqueducts, Head Regulators, Cross Regulators, Pipe & RCC

Culverts, Road Bridges, Three Km long RCC Pile mounted Irrigation

pipe line. Twenty km long approach road, Construction of Employer

Colony. The total quantity of Concrete for the Project is more than

150,000 Cubic meter. This is an EPC contract which is being

constructed by M/S Sinohydro Corporation Ltd.(A Chine’s

construction company)

The Total Cost of the Project is 7,554,688,700 Rupees.

Responsibilities: -

Supervision of all the Construction Activities according to Project Specifications as

Principal Quality Control Engineer.

Quality assurance of material testing in the Laboratory at all levels.

Daily monitoring & Control of Site Progress to the best levels.

Coordination with the Client & Contractor for timely completion of the Project.

Correspondence with the Clint & Contractor regarding technical issues.

Checking the quality of work at all levels.

Employer: - Jinnah Hydropower Project Consultants ( Joint Venture of ACE,

NDC,MWH & NESPAK in association with DMC LHR, EASE PAK).

Period: - February 2008 to July 2010

Position Held: - Assistant Resident Engineer (Work as Resident Engineer at Site)

Project - Jinnah Hydropower Project, District Mianwali.

Project Introduction: -This project includes Construction of Headrace Channel, Powerhouse

and Tailrace Channel. The Powerhouse consist of 8- Units with

production capacity of 12-MW each , Erection and Unloading Bays ,

Office Buildings, 132-KV Switchyard , 7- Km long Transmission Line

from Powerhouse to Mari Grid Station. The total quantity of

Reinforced Concrete for the Project was 288,000 cubic meter. This was

an EPC contract which is being constructed by Dongfong Electric

Corporation (A Chine’s construction company)

The Total Cost of the Project was 128 Million US Dollars.

Responsibilities: -

Supervision of all the Construction Activities according to Project Specifications as

Resident Engineer. The Project is a run of the river hydropower project with 96-MW

generating capacity, using low head bulb turbines working with a discharge of 84,200

cusecs.




Correspondence with Contractor regarding technical issues.


Employer: - Punjab Barrages Consultants (NDC & NESPAK JV in association

with ATKINS Global UK).

Period: - April 2007 to February 2008

Project: - Taunsa Barrage Emergency Rehabilitation and Modernization Project.

Project Introduction: -This project included Construction of new Sub Weir 4346 ft long,

Right & Left Abutment, Right & Left Fish Ladder, Navigation Lock,

Right & Left Flared Out Wall (U/ S & D/S), Extension of D/S Right &

Left Guide Bank, Rehabilitation of the Existing Barrage which include

Repairs and improvements to the existing Barrage downstream Glacis

and downstream floor, Remodeling of fish ladders and repair of

downstream flared out walls. Construction of silt Excluder in the Right

Under sluice Pocket and raising of the crest of D.G.Khan Canal Head

Regulator.

The Total Cost of Civil Works Project is 4,527 Million.

Responsibilities: -

Supervision and Quality Assurance and Control of all the Construction Activities

according to Project Specifications like construction of New Subsidiary Weir D/S of

Main Barrage having a reinforced Concrete quantity of 250,000 m³ in a record time

of 11 months, dismantling of old Concrete from D/S Glacis and Floor of the Main

Barrage, placement of new concrete at Main Barrage, Drilling and Grouting to fill the

cavities under the floor & within the Concrete, Installation of permanent and

temporarily sheet piles, construction of cofferdams, construction of Block & Stone

Apron both at Main Barrage & Sub-Weir, Guide Bank, Flared out wall, Fish Ladder

and Silt Excluder.

Checking & Verification of Monthly Payment Certificate submitted by contractor.

Supervision and Checking of all the Construction Activities according to Project

Specifications related to the construction of New Subsidiary Weir & Rehabilitation of

Main Barrage which are as follows:-

Construction Supervision of 4346 ft long reinforced Concrete Sub-Weir where the

Concrete was more than 250,000 m³ and of Steel was 14,000 Ton.

Construction Supervision of Silt Excluder in the Right Pocket for D. G. Khan Canal.

Supervision of dismantling of old Concrete from the D/S Glacis and Floor of the Main

Barrage. Then laying of new reinforced Concrete on the Glacis & Floor. The quantity

of Concrete was 49,000 m³ and more than 1,800 Ton Steel was involved.

Checking the levels, Alignment and verticality of the Permanent Sheet Piles which

were installed in 4- line with depth of 18 ~ 25 ft in the bed having a length of 4346 ft

each line.

Construction Supervision of new of Right & Left Fish Ladder with 7 ft thick

reinforced Concrete wall.

Construction Supervision of Reinforced Flared out Walls both on U/S & D/S of Sub-

Weir.

Construction Supervision of Extension of Right & Left Fish Ladder with 7 ft thick

reinforced Concrete wall.

Construction Supervision of Feeding Channel having a capacity of 2,500 Cusec

Discharge to feed the D. G. Khan Canal during Closure period.

Check the accurate setting of Works in relation to original points, lines and levels.

Checking the Installation of Sill Beams on the Main Barrage.

Checking of Stone Apron, Block Apron over Filter Material, Wire Crates and Stone

Pitching on U/S & D/S of Sub-Weir and Guide Bank.

The project has been financed by Asian Development Bank

(ADB), KFW, and Government of Pakistan. The Engineering Services

are rendered by world leading Consultants HARZA Engineering

Company (USA), SOGREAH (France) and NDC (Pakistan).

Responsibilities: -

Worked as Senior Structural Engineer, Responsible for the construction of reinforced

concrete Hydraulic Structures like Canal Aqueducts (2-Nos), Canal Culverts (5-Nos),

Super passages to carry flood water over the Canal along with Bridge Barrels(18-Nos)

Cross & Escape Regulators along with Bridges (20-Nos).Where pouring of 252,000

m³ Reinforced Concrete and fabrication of 6,000 Ton Steel was involved.

Execution of Work according to Drawings, Specifications and approved Planning

Nos), Super passages to carry flood water over the Canal along with

Bridge Barrels (27-Nos) made of Per cast Post Tensioned channel

sectioned Flumes. Inlet & Fall Structures, One Rail Way Bridge on
