Raw Material Coordinator

Job Responsibilities Support the Materials Manager to supply management of raw materials and packaging

materials for Australian Snacks Business worth $200MM. Lead the planning and set-up of the pipeline of New Product Developments with liaising

with Commercial Growth Teams, the Marketing team, Product Supply team, and Procurement in support of product commercialisation.

Own the communication of New Product and Packaging Development to the National Operations team from offset of development, creation of new codes and supply to sites in a timely manner, and maintaining master data in SAP.

Work with Demand & Supply teams as well as suppliers to create the weekly and monthly forecasting process for all raw materials and packaging to suppliers & ensure they can respond to plant call offs within agreed lead times whilst managing product deletions and product transitions to ensure minimal stock write offs. Review material minimum order quantities and advise on any amendments required to support the productivity agenda.

Support the regular supplier meetings to review forecast requirements, new product development and potential product deletions. Lead the forum on the service agenda providing relevant service related information supported by accurate data.

Communicate potential supply issues and advise on solutions to the Product Supply Team resulting from the sites weekly call-off sheets.

Own the set-up of all new raw material codes in SAP from the code generation through to populating MRP views and ensuring requisition requirements to order against.

Support the material supply aspect of the significant NPD commercialisation agenda by liaising with Commercial Growth Teams, the Marketing team, Product Supply team, and Procurement to coordinate and execute material supply. And communicate material availability, and or material change timings and strategies to Product Supply team, plant purchasing and raw material inventory management teams, marketing team, and the finance teams.

Develop the production schedule of the plant for weeks 0, 1, and 2 to ensure supply and supported by 13-weeks Master Production Plan. Uses SAP APO Master scheduling tool to check and verify capacity loading against demand forecasts from Sales team.

Utilize Advanced Planning tools in carrying-out optimized Production Plans/Schedules, and calibrate safety and cycle stock targets using dynamic inventory planning tools to meet varying demands.

Glass Float Management

Job Responsibilities Coordinate with Plant Warehouse/ Operations for space availability and capacity limits for

the backload of returnable containers. Coordinates with affected/involved sites for the movement of empties and or FGs that are

out of the normal routes due to rebalancing of Glass Floats based on demand. Generate and analyze reports on plants and warehouses empties retrieval, container usage,

breakages, and other indicators that need to be furnished to operations planning in order to predict the weekly production schedules.

Establish empties standard/target inventory level by plant and coordinate with sales warehouses the container retrieval scheme to ensure availability during production.

Collaborate in planning the phase-in and phase-out of new products/packaging to avoid obsolescence of semi-finished goods, raw and packaging materials, and eliminate further write-offs in plants and external warehouses.

Coordinate with Strategic Materials Planning group and Procurement the daily and weekly movement of raw and packaging materials within the scope of responsibility, and communicate to plants delivery schedules and expected quantity of materials.

Endorse interplant transfers of materials, specifically glass and pallets, and prepare the corresponding Stock Transport Orders in SAP to ensure continuous utilization of production lines, and prevent FGS out of stocks.

Conduct Plant/Sales Warehouse audits/visits to monitor and assess the inventory situation of raw materials, containers, shells and pallets.

Recommends/tracks glass movements for new glass deliveries, inter-plant transfers and empties retrievals making sure to support agreed logistics & commercial strategies.

Preparing an effective backload advice for each location based on truck availability/ capacity/ route to eliminate unnecessary truck movements. Utilizes VB Excel program to create an effective backload schedule effectively utilizing truck units while prioritizing RGBs which are under critical status based on inventory level needed for production in each plant in the region. After the schedule is generated, the backload schedule is uploaded in S3 tool used to create trips for backloads based on truck attendance and maximizing frontload trucks to have backloads containing critical RGBs very much needed for production.

Job Responsibilities Plans and executes production scheduling per site per product through constant

communication and continuous updates with production supervisors regarding the status of the production line.

Plans and coordinates the flow of raw materials (cells) for Global distribution. Each global contract manufacturer is given schedule of allocation and deliveries of the main raw material component based on the demand schedule provided by each Regional Business Unit.

Establishes priorities and sets logistics directions for specific customer orders thru alignment meetings being conducted with logistics team to set prioritization of shipments as per agreement of shipment plans with regional Business Unit heads.

Maintains updated manufacturing status information and reports to Operations Meetings. Deviations from the target output are discussed during the meeting to set recovery plans and re-alignment of expectations based on the recovery plans agreed upon.

Scheduling and monitoring of Engineering / Qualification and other non-production lots which was conducted every week together with different departments to prioritize and schedule the engineering runs without disrupting the flow of the production line itself.

Coordinating New Product / Material introduction with Manufacturing / Product Development / QA / Purchasing. Done every week, the meeting involves representatives from RnD, Quality Assurance and Product Marketing whose goal is to discuss the

Manages Scrap and Slow moving inventory to minimal levels. This is being done quarterly to minimize non moving inventory / stock in warehouse to convert the stocks to saleable stocks and bring additional revenue to the company.
