Professional Responsibility: As a professional the following worked has been performed:

Provides drug information as necessary to the pharmacy, medical and nursing staff by organizing Drug Information Cell in the department.

Monitors patients total drug therapy for:i Effectiveness/ineffectivenessii Side Effectsiii Toxicitiesiv Allergic drug Reactionsv Drug interactions

Assists the physician in selecting dosage regimens and schedules, and then assigns drug administration times for these schedules.

Acts as Secretary to Formulary Committee for inclusion of new drug in coordination with MSC.

Administrative Responsibility:

Insures that established policies and procedures are followed and new personnel are properly trained.

Coordinates the activities of the area with the available staff to make the best possible use of personnel resources.

Communicates with all pharmacy staff regarding new development in the area and assists in employee evaluations.

Coordinates with Purchase Committee for procurement of drugs.

Provides assistance in departments annual budget assumptions e.g. Head count, capital expenditure, operating expenses etc. in coordination with Finance.
