It was restored by two international architects, Costas Sionis and Fabrice Quénum, who gave the building a contemporary character while preserving the interesting elements of the architecture of the 30ʼs. Costas Sionis obtained the price of architecture for the construction of the Museum of Contemporary art of Athens. The gallery extends on 3 levels. • The ground floor is devoted to the principal ongoing show. • The first floor presents contemporary and plastician photography, or, alternatively, more intimate works. • The garden located in the backyard often hosts contemporary sculptures. • The storage rooms include numerous works of the artists represented. Thus the visitor has permanent access to a large diversity of works. The gallery punctually serves as conference and reception space, film and photo set… The Polar gallery represents important artists of international scale, and is also open to the emergent young creation. It is oriented towards contemporary art as well as photography. The gallery participates to the major international art fairs. In addition to the artists represented in exclusivity in Belgium, the gallery sells and buys works of major artists of the XXe century: Magritte, Picasso, Delvaux, Arman, Warhol, Chagall, Leger, Miro, Braque, etc. It advises the collectors as well as the neophytes on their art purchases and investments. Several artists of the gallery became major names on the art market following our work of international representation. Pascal Polar is also the director of • Artvox editions, publisher of the principal belgian art magazine, Artexpo, within this framework bringing the corporate world (Delvaux, Mercedes, Dior, etc.) together with the actors of the art market and their customers, the collectors concerned by a certain art de vivre. Artvox also publishes artists monographies and work with the museums - www.artexpo.be • The Karl Waldamnn Museum - www.karlwaldmannmuseum.com The web site www.pascalpolar.be presents the totality of the represented artists and the activities of the gallery.
