CURRICULUM VITAE/RESUME CRAIG DON ANTHONY SKELTON ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LIFE SKILLS INSTRUCTOR I am an English Second Language Teacher with extensive overseas experience. My career has taken me from teaching young learners in a classroom environment in countries such as Taiwan and Japan, to teaching adults in a tertiary education facility in Saudi Arabia, and to teaching and training in a workplace environment on the oil fields in Iraq. I thus possess a wide field of experience in teaching English as a second language with different requirements, Technical English and Life Skills. I am resourceful and creative in lesson preparation and presentation. I am capable of delivering to exacting standards, targets and deadlines. I am confident, possess a friendly classroom presence. I can quickly establish rapport with my students, and I am able to teach students of all ages in all situations. Student motivation and development are one of my key skills. I believe in flexible utilization of pedagogical approaches to meet the student’s learning requirements, and to assist in addressing students comprehension issues. A student centered approach in the class that incorporates the students in an active manner in the learning process is vital in the learning process. CAREER SUMMARY

2013 – 2015 English Language & Life Skills instructor, Stirling & Shell Iraq Training local engineers and technicians in English, Technical English and Soft Skills.Development of some Soft Skills materials.

Due for falling oil prices, the training facilities were downsized and eventually closed.

2012 – 2013 English Language & Technical English Instructor, HIWPT Saudi Arabia Training College level students in general and Technical English. Development of the Technical English program. This was a short –term contract and I was offered a contract in Iraq.

2006 – 2010 English Language Instructor, RCS/Saitama Education Japan Team teaching with a Japanese teacher.Planning and implementation of all testing . Development of an Elementary school English syllabus and curriculum.I did not renew my contract in order to care for terminally ill father in the USA.

2002 – 2005 English Language Instructor, Dragon English Schools Taiwan Delivered English Language lessons at Elementary school and Secondary school levels.Development of English material for an advanced Elementary class.

Received ongoing training in Classroom Management, Social Care, lesson planning and curriculum development. I did not renew my contract as I was offered a position in Japan.

1998– 2002 Youth Counselor & Youth Program Manager, Remnant USA Taught life skills programs. As a I neared completion of my degree, I provided supervised counselling and guidance for youth.This position was held while also studying for my Bachelor’s degree and working part time for the family business.After my graduation I was offered a teaching position in Taiwan.

1992– 1998 Procurement Manager, Candle Creations Inc. USA I worked in the family manufacturing business as procurement manager. I was responsible for maintaining and ordering all raw materials for factory and ensuring the production line was supplied with sufficient raw materials at all times.I stopped working at the family business to continue with a four year Bachelor degree.

1990 – 1992 Assistant Welfare Officer, Department of Welfare South Africa Supervision of children in the classroom and general environment in a welfare facility. This was a training position while I studied for my Childcare Diploma. I immigrated to America in 1992 to assist in the family business.
