Criteria for a Successful CV
A CV includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors,
affiliations, and other details. In the US, a CV is used primarily when applying for
academic, education, scientific, or research positions, fellowships or grants

How to Write a Strong and Noticeable Resume?
More familiar to most American writers than CVs. General and concise introduction of your
experiences and skills as they relate to a particular career or position that you are aiming to acquire.

Name and Contact Information: your residential address might be most appropriate
Education: a listing of your degrees or certifications and educational institutions
Work Experience: names of the companies or organizations that you have worked for, the location of each company, the dates worked, your job title, and duties performed.

Use a 10 or 12 point font Arial, Verdana, Calibri, and Times New Roman Make your name stand out: at the top & larger Be Consistent. Don't overuse capitalization, bold,
italics, underlines, or other emphasizing features. Both a resume and CV contain a Summary
Statement that tries to capture the best of you in 100 words or less

MAIN POINTS OF A MOTIVATION LETTER (2) Focus on your strongest qualifications, past
experiences (international experiences are always relevant) and qualities;
organize the middle paragraphs in terms of the qualifications most relevant for the program
Conclude by restating your interest and show appreciation for the chance to prove yourself in the letter

possible. If you know the name of HR person, address the
letter to this person. Do not mention your weak points in the letter Don’t be too much vainglorious since this will make

strong points.

Your letter should reflect positive spirit eg: ”I am eager to improve my skills and fully prepared to adapt myself to the new working environment…”, instead of “I am not experienced in the relevant field.”
Try to find out as much as possible about the opportunity before applying. This will show your interest and reflect you ability to prepare relevant information on your future post.
