EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Wood Group Engineering Feb 1992 - May 2016 Commenced my 25 year career with the Wood Group as a Material Controller and progressed to Materials Lead with many notable successes within my scope of work, resulting in significant cost reductions and enhanced business improvements across a number of multi million pound EPC projects. Senior Materials Controller (Sir Ian Wood House, Aberdeen) Feb 2016 - May 2016 Reporting directly to the Contract Manager on a pilot project for a major oil and gas client.

Conducted a review of the client’s supply chain maintenance strategy and process with a view to identifying potential cost savings by means of an inventory cleanse and delivering more cost efficient processes.

Selected to test Wood Group’s new global Maximo ERP computerised system through the complete supply chain cycle. Identified failures, made recommendations and ultimately approved the implementation to project management.

TAQA Contract Nov 2008 - Feb 2016 Materials Lead (TAQA office complex, Aberdeen) Reporting directly both to the Wood Group Business Services Manager and TAQA Materials Manager. Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Responsible for the co-ordination of materials and logistics processes by road, sea and air. Interface materials focal point between onshore and offshore project teams for TAQA’s 5x UKCS North Sea Platforms.

Supervised and mentored procurement, expediting, warehousing, shipping, logistics, and materials control personnel both directly and indirectly.

Develop and implement robust materials management systems and processes to effectively monitor and track all project materials transactions from requisition to installation offshore – “cradle to grave”, as well as backload processes including inventory returns, repairs and rentals.

Collaborate planning with the Construction and Project teams, with the outcome being able to forecast availability of materials against construction Work Pack planning. Create, formulate and produce material pick-lists to enable warehouse Material Controllers to bag and tag in preparation for call-off.

Participate in platform morning calls and key project meetings - kick-off, hazop, construction readiness and planning. Reporting on all materials status and take away actions accordingly.

Member of Target Excellence Team, tasked with reviewing the efficiencies of current working practices, continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.

Perform materials reconciliation on project completion. Identify and categorise re-usable stock for future projects and/or compile asset disposable requests (ADR). Review project requisitions to mitigate unnecessary spend and reduce inventory holdings.

Fully conversant with oil and gas standard safety procedures in accordance with Company HSE policies ensuring that all materials and logistics movements are carried out as such.

Responsible for all Materials control warehouse activities, receipts, storage, bagging and tagging, manifest and shipment of materials to/from the Shell Brent Field.

Press Offshore Ltd (AMEC) Mar 1987 - Feb 1992 Shell ISC/Sigma 3 Contract Materials Controller (Press Offshore and ASCO Operations Bases - Altens, Aberdeen) Reporting to the Procurement Manager

Responsible for all Materials control site functions on: Amoco’s Montrose Alpha Shell’s Brent Field – Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta Decommissioning of Brent Spar Seconded to Deutag Drilling to oversee the material control, logistics and shipment of drilling
