Thanks to
Kevin’s presence in
my life, I’ve grown
past everything that I
saw and experienced
in my childhood. CYC
calls him my mentor,
but I’m proud to be
able to call him my
father.

A one-credit high school elective for 10th
through 12th graders, and including 7th
through 9th in select schools.
Career specialists use
experiential-based
curriculum, teaching
37 core competencies
(soft skills) and
combining classroom
work with student
enrichment activities,
putting students on the path
to employment, college enrollment or
enlistment in the military.
Students are supported for one year post-
high school completion to ensure a
successful transition into post-secondary
pursuits.
My JCG Specialist is phenomenal. She will
be a forever mentor for me. CYC put me in
the setting of, “Let’s
go to college. Let’s
make sure you have
everything you need
to go to college.”
