What steps are involved in the design and supply of a Cyclone Steel Building?

We’ll ask you for the dimensions of your steel building, type of roof, interior walls, number and placement of doors/win-dows and the exterior finishing materials.

Engineered drawings are then created based on the design and local building codes.

Your steel building is then pre-engineered at the factory and shipped to your construction site. All the parts are pre-drilled and ready to be assembled. We can then create the con-crete foundation and begin the construc-tion of your steel building

Does your steel react to varying weather conditions?

Our steel building frames are engineered to meet the demands of local building codes, weather and of course to our customers requirements. Contrary to timber purlins, our steel formations do not change under the influence of weather or any other outside conditions therefore your building will remain in great shape for years to come. All the materials are from UK suppliers.

What are the benefits of using Cold Rolled Steel Buildings?

The steel used in our buildings is cold rolled steel. This type of steel is both high tensile and very durable.

Our old rolled steel sections are incred-ibly strong, but lighter than hot- rolled steel. This means the combination of cold-rolled steel and portal frame meth-od allows relatively small steel sections to span long distances.

In addition this reduces the cost of materials and a reduction in weight will allow for our innovative construction techniques to be employed.

The cold roll steel sections are pre-cut to size with fixing points predetermined by your steel building design, effectively providing the building in kit form. Lifting equipment is generally not required to construct our steel buildings – this will result I shorter construction times and reduced erection costs.

Using higher quality cold rolled steel purlins’ means these can be stacked into very compact loads. This allows a large building to be transported in a relatively compact package.

This also significantly reduces transpor-tation costs and due to the light weight and compact size of the materials adds to environmental benefits.

Our steel building frames are also fully galvanized as standard, ensuring durability without the extra costs of galvanizing (as required with hot rolled steel structures).

Our steel cladding panels are hot dipped into a PVC coating on the external sides, whilst the inner sides are powder coated to protect and prolong your building.

The end result is a superior steel build-ing, engineered to British Standardswhich is designed by state of the art software. Using this specialised software gives our customers the flexibility of a building to suit their specificrequirements .

How long does manufacturing and delivery take?Normally delivery will take place four weeks after placing your order, however, if you tell us when you want your steel building, we can work with you to plan a delivery that will meet your timescales.
