OPEN DOORS PROGRAM The YMCA is community-based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone regardless of age, background, ability or income. That’s why the YMCA offers an OPEN DOORS program, a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit your individual financial situation.

Join us for our GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION as we officially open our new 12,000 sq. ft. facility expansion as well as our extensive facility renovation. Enjoy, facility tours, games and activities for the kids, special give-aways, food, and fun! Join the Cypress Creek Family YMCA as a facility member February 20-28 and pay NO JOINING FEE! Guest Policy / Volunteerism / Center Board Members In order to promote the best facility to our members, we offer limited use of the facility by guests. • YMCA Facility Members may bring one guest per membership

(one individual or one family) at a time to utilize the YMCA facility. Each guest is limited to 3 trial visits per calendar year. Guest use is limited to non-prime time facility hours.

• Guests are required to sign a waiver of liability and show a photo ID at the time of facility usage.

• Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to sign the waiver of liability. If a parent or guardian is not present, the underage guest must be accompanied by an adult YMCA member (age 18 or over) who will assume liability by signing for the parent.

AWAY MEMBERS: Always Welcome At YMCAs, or the AWAY program, is one that gives YMCA members from outside of the YMCA of Greater Houston service area access to YMCA facilities when they are away from their home. They are allowed up to 30 days within a calendar year without being charged a guest fee. Once this time is over, they may be asked to temporarily join.

VOLUNTEERS Volunteers are at the heart of the YMCA and that is why the YMCA is at the heart of the community. When you are a volunteer at the YMCA, you are part of a not-for-profit organization with a vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Your time and talent will translate into helping a child, mentoring a teen or providing support for families. You can help create a

safe, healthy and caring environment that will nurture people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them to become successful members of our community. Volunteer opportunities include: Youth Sports Coaches, Mentoring, and Fundraising Volunteers. Volunteers are essential to the YMCA. It’s a Great Place to be a Member! MEMBERSHIP TO THE YMCA The YMCA believes that we all need a place to belong. When you become a member of the YMCA, you will find programs and activities for every member of the family. The YMCA offers memberships to families, as well as great membership options for individuals, single-parent families, seniors and youth. All options feature easy payment plans and no contracts. The Citywide option lets members participate at any YMCA in the Greater Houston Area. The YMCA is a membership organization and therefore all participants must be members. You have 2 options in your membership to the YMCA: FACILITY MEMBERSHIP Designed for those individuals or families who wish to have full facility use. A monthly membership and a one time joining fee are paid to the YMCA. If you are interested in learning more, please stop by the Welcome Center. Reinstatement Policy There is a $20 reinstatement fee to activate a terminated membership. PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP Designed for those who want to participate in programs or activities but do not have full facility use. A yearly program membership fee of $30/family is charged in addition to the fees of our programs and is renewable on an annual basis.

FACILITY MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES Monthly dues are payable through an automatic bank draft, credit card draft or 12 month invoice option. Cypress Creek (CC) - Includes use of Any Greater Houston Area YMCA. One time Joining Fee of $100 applies. North Harris County (NHC) - Includes use of ONLY the North Harris County Family YMCA. One time Joining Fee of $50 applies. If you would like to join at the North Harris County Family YMCA and use all of the YMCA’s in the Greater Houston area, you will pay the rates listed as CC. One time Joining Fee of $100 applies. Two Adult Household with Kids Two adults age 18-64 & any children 18 and under, or a full-time student living in the same household through age 25. Student must provide full time status. (Additional monthly fee applies for a third adult). Camp Runamuck: Ages 5-10 Camp Runamuck enables a child to have a camp experience while returning home at the end of the day. Best of all, you can be assured that while your kids are exploring new ways to have fun, they are being well cared for in a friendly and safe environment by caring and trained staff. Teen Camp: Ages 11-15 Available in the summer for teens, this camp program is designed with the interests of older youth in mind. Campers participate in leadership development activities, team building, swimming and more. For more information, contact Chris at 281.517.3720

Location: Interested individuals may sign up for Spring Break Camp or Teen Camp at either the Cypress Creek Family YMCA or the North Harris County Family YMCA. Children from both YMCA’s will function as one group and partici-pate in daily activities together. Children from the North Harris County Family YMCA will be bussed to the Cypress Creek Family YMCA Facility to enjoy enriching, values oriented programs on 58 acres of outdoor and indoor fun.

SPRING BREAK ACTIVITY “MIX” CAMP: Ages 5-14. A variety of fun activities are offered; Dance, Cheer, Tumble, Gymnastics, Singing and a lot of FUN! Kids are split into three age groups and rotate to each activity. Parents are invited on the 4th day of camp for a mini-performance.

Teaches kids how to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Filled with exciting activities and games that will teach them: how to set goals and achieve them, how to find an activity or sport that they love to do and stick with it, how to set up their own work-out program and how to make nutritious foods that taste good. Kids get to play on our inter-active Expresso game bikes and our new DDR’s!

Water Exercise Classes The Cypress Creek Family YMCA offers water exercise classes year-round in our indoor pool. A variety of classes and levels available. Stop by the Welcome Center for a complete schedule of classes.

Lifeguard Classes - This course provides the training necessary to become a certified YMCA lifeguard. Course includes; American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Oxygen Administration, First Aid & YMCA Lifeguard training.

Youth Sports Adventure Guides The YMCA believes that youth sports programs encourage and promote healthy and strong kids, families and communities by plac ing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition rather than rivalry, the value of participation over winning, team building as well as individual development, a positive self-image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others. Caring adult coaches and volunteers create an asset-rich environment in whic h children learn and practice the core values of respect, responsibility, honesty, caring and faith.

Parents are encouraged to be more than mere spectators by contributing their time as volunteer coaches and team parents as well as being their kid’s greatest fan. YMCA Youth Sports programs are a great start to a lifetime of fitness and values.

• A late fee of $20 per player will be assessed on all registrations received at registration end.

WHAT IS ADVENTURE GUIDES? Adventure Guides is a unique opportunity for Fathers to develop or enhance their relationship with their children. This program creates and provides quality time for each Father and child, in a relaxed, constructive setting with their peers. WHO PARTICIPATES? Boys (Guides) and Girls (Princesses) grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, plus Boys (Trailblazers) and Girls (Trailmates) grades 4th through 7th and Dads of all ages.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS Father/Son or Father/Daughter pairs are formed into Circles, based on school and/or neighborhood proximity. Circles meet one to two nights a month for hour long meetings that include various projects and activities. Monthly Expeditions such as camping trips, dances, and Pinewood Derby races that include all program participants are organized through the YMCA.

AFTERSCHOOL CARE The YMCA believes that a quality child care program should provide enriching experiences which facilitate a child’s cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. The YMCA AfterSchool program, licensed by the State of Texas, ensures that children are given a unique mix of activities that focus on developmental assets, the building blocks that teach children how to make positive and intelligent decisions throughout life. These programs help children grow in spirit, mind and body while emphasizing and modeling character development values: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith. School Districts - Programs are offered in the; Cy-Fair, Klein, Waller, Tomball, Aldine and Spring ISD’s

We will take you through the proper etiquette, training technique, and safety in the weight room and cardio room and teach you basic exercise principles, fitness terms, muscle groups, flexibility and much more. A study guide/packet will be given to each participant and a test will be administered at the end of the course to ensure that you grasped the
