QUICK LOOKRue107 is a celebration of the fashion vagabonds, those of us who celebrate the spirit of innovative self-expressive moments. Confidence is our DNA, and the insatiable need to be distinct is our backbone. Whether you were born with confidence, or you built it over time, Rue107’s mission is to create the means to share it with the world, with the hope of inspiring others along the way.
First unveiled in Summer 2011, the collection carries tops, bottoms, dresses, inventive swimwear, and signature handbags. It has adorned the well-appointed figures of numerous high-profile celebrities and socialites such as Beyonce, Serena Williams, Nicki Minaj, Amber Rose and current Miss USA Nia Sanchez. Rue107 aims to celebrate all women's confidence and curves. We offer straight sizes in 2-12 and plus sizes in 14-24. Our commitment to the plus-size community has garnered us features in Plus Model Magazine, the leading authority in plus-size fashion, as well as other popular contemporary publications such as Zink and Nylon.
Designed, manufactured and shipped out of New York City, Rue107 partners with local contractors to complete our creative recipe. Although the collection is not mass-produced, it delivers new releases biweekly. Sweetening the pot, the whole line is accessibly priced from $49-$149.

Inspired by the vibrant island colors of designer Marie Jean-Baptiste's native Haiti, as well as the eclectic style and sophistication of her new home, New York City, all Rue107 pieces emphasize vivacious energy. Officially launched in the summer of 2011, Rue107 began initially as a dazzling assortment of leggings made right out of Jean-Baptiste's bedroom in Brooklyn. The company blossomed year by year from funky leggings into a full-service collection of womenswear offering dresses, tops, bottoms and swimwear. We affectionately think of Rue107 as a line of “fancy knits” because we know our Rue Babes love showcasing their eye-catching looks during all their fancy occasions. We extended the same aesthetic to our swimwear line and received rave reviews! The swimwear selection offers innovative silhouettes and unique patterns rarely seen in swim, especially for the curvy woman and in true Rue107 form, boasts stunning color and unexpected print combinations. Most recently introduced was a collection of oversized clutches bearing our new custom-inspired Josephine Baker print. Splashed, striped and dotted across every piece is an undeniable declaration of individuality. Stretching the concept of “stretch” to the furthest edge of our creativity, Rue107 employs a wide range of tensile fabrics, concentrated around heavy knits for their ability to hold and contour adeptly. Among these fabrics include ponte, power mesh, nylon- and polyester-spandex mixtures, and supple lace textiles.

RUE107 CURVES: A HAPPY ACCIDENTWhile mainstream brands showcase size 0-2 models in lookbooks, our luxury of owning elastic fabrics allowed us to include a size 14 model in a regular XL-size outfit in our Holiday 2012 lookbook. The model looked divine and the response was nothing short of amazing. Our phone lines began ringing off the hook, as customers wanted to know if we had the same styles in plus sizes. Indeed, we noticed there was a void in the plus-size marketplace and we were excited to inject spirited pizzazz into the fray. We then spent the next year-and-a-half back at the drawing board relearning our entire customer base. Through trial-and-error, we discovered just how to tweak straight-size items to also suit the plus-size girl without compromising style. We forwent our junior-plus fit, which feature smaller-than-standard measurements, and now, our 14-24 plus sizes are reflective of industry paradigms. Now Rue107 provides a full collection ranging sizes 2-24 and even offers plus-size exclusives. In October 2014, we relaunched with a much better grasp on our plus-size clientele, and in 2015, we are here to give the customers what they want.. and this is just the beginning.
