    Babomb This little clockwork creature slowly walks towards you on tiny mechanical legs. No larger than a housecat, its body is simply a black orb with two white eyes painted on the front, giving it a rather cute appearance. It suddenly comes to a stop and,before you can react,explodes in a rush of

    flames!

    Short for battle-automated bomb, ababomb is a simpleconstruct designed toself-destruct in anexplosive manner.Because theyrerelatively fragile,and dont explodewhen destroyed

    by damage,babombs are oftenused as traps,being given simplecommands such asexplode if any creature other than meapproaches you, orwalk up to anyone whotouches that chest andexplode. Since babombs are

    small and easily overlooked,this can be an insidious way of catching an enemy by surprise.

    ConstructionA babombs body is a simple orb of blackened iron fitted withmechanical legs and filled with

    flammable powders. Creating thebody costs 100 gp, and making theproper mix of the powders requires aDC 15 Craft (alchemy) check and300 gp.

    Blue ShellArmor

    (Major Magic Armor) Appearing asa large turtle shell with the topcolored blue, this magic armorfunctions as a +3 breastplate , exceptthat it does not reduce the wearersspeed. It magically resizes to fit anew wearer, and completely coverstheir torso, having holes for theirarms, legs, and head (new holesmagically appear if the wearer hasother appendages, such as extraarms or a tail). This doesnt impedethe characters ability to wear or useother items normally (though it may make him look rather silly).

    While wearing this armor, acharacter that performs a totaldefense action may pull his headand limbs into the shell, gaining a+6 deflection bonus to AC instead of a +4 dodge bonus. The magic of theshell even allows you to pull in gearthat should be too large to fit insideit with you, such as a two-handedweapon or a tower shield.

    If a character wearing blue shell armor makes an overrun attemptwhile moving in a straight line, hemay pull himself into the shell as afree action, letting it slide along theground. Doing so grants anadditional 10 ft. of movement, andthe attempt is treated as though thecharacter had the Improved Overrunfeat. Further, he may make anoverrun attempt against allopponents in the path of hismovement, until his move ends or

    (Medium Magic Weapon) Onceused by the half-celestial warriorPitt Icarus to slay a powerfulmedusa queen, the bow of light isa powerful weapon of goodness.It appears as a golden bow withno string, not can it be strungdue to the ends of the bow beingbladed (see below).

    The bow of light acts as a +2 holy burst shortbow (althoughlongbow and compound bowversions have been found insome areas). Instead of usingnormal arrows, a character whoreaches between the ends of thebow and pulls back as if nockingan arrow will find that a glowingstring appears, as does an arrowof light. An unlimited number of these arrows may be created,though each arrow fades away afterbeing shot, regardless of whether ornot the attack hit. These arrowsmay be enchanted with spells andeffects normally prior to being shot.

    As a move action that does notprovoke an attack of opportunity, acharacter may split the bow of light in two at the handle. When so split,

    each end of the bow functions as a+1 holy short sword . Placing the twoshort swords back together reformsthe bow , an action that also takes amove action without provoking anattack of opportunity.

    Holy BurstA holy burst weapon functions as aholy weapon that also explodes withholy power upon striking a

    successful critical hit against an evilcreature. This does not damage thewielder. In addition to the extradamage from the holy ability, a holy burst weapon deals an extra 1d10points of damage to an evil creatureon a successful critical hit. If theweapons critical multiplier is 3,add an extra 2d10 points of damageinstead, and if the multiplier is 4,add an extra 3d10 points. Bows,crossbows, and slings so craftedbestow the holy energy upon theirammunition.

    Cape of theHero(Major Wondrous Item) Made by clerics of an air deity, the cape is theresult of them wanting an itemsimilar to the leaf of the raccoon , butwhich wouldnt make them lookridiculous. The result was thecreation of this yellow cape.

    The cape of the hero allows acharacter to fly at twice his basespeed with average maneuverability.A character who wears it is alsoalways under the effect of a feather

    fall spell, with the cape wrappingabout the characters ankles and

    billowing out like a parachute if thecharacter falls. Also, once per day while flying, the character may, as afull-round action that does notprovoke an attack of opportunity,

    deliberately slam into the ground. This creates an earthquake wherethe character lands, though neitherthe landing nor the earthquakeharms the character.

    The cape can also be used as an off-hand weapon. A character can spinaround to attack with it, dealing 1d6points of bludgeoning damage (thecape overcomes damage reduction

    as a magic weapon). A charactermay also make a Whirlwind Attack,as the feat, with the cape . The capecannot, however, be used as aweapon while the character is usingit to fly (including floating down).

The carpet can fly at aspeed of up to 40 ft. with goodmaneuverability, and is activated by a command word (usually

    this +2 greatclub grants whoeverwields it theAwesome Blow feat, even if they do not meet theprerequisites. When using theclub to make an Awesome Blow , the wielder may do soagainst corporeal creatures upto one size category largerthan himself.

    The FinalSword

    (Major Magic Weapon) Wielded by the hero Cumulus at the Battle of the Meteor five hundred years ago,the final sword is named becauseits considered so powerful that,once acquired, no other weapon willever be necessary.

    The final sword is actually sixinterlocking swords. Each is meantto be used against a different type of enemy, save for the primary sword,which is more generic in function. Inthe centuries since the Battle of theMeteor, many of the swords havebeen lost; many who find individualblades have no idea that theyre partof a larger whole. Even if the entireset were reunited, however, using itis no easy task. The final sword is

    best used by a neutral good (orneutral) character with the SureGrasp (see below) and Two-WeaponFighting feats.

    The six component blades are asfollows:

    InterlockingInterlocking is a non-magical quality that may be applied to meleeweapons. Interlocking weapons havemoving parts that make them able

    to physically attach and detach fromone another, allowing quick accessto multiple weapons as needed.Weapons must be made with theinterlocking capability; it cannot beapplied later. All interlockingweapons are part of a specific set,and will not interlock with weaponsof a different set. Craftinginterlocking weapons is difficult,adding +8 to the Craft DC. Theprimary interlocking weapon (seebelow) costs an additional 1,000 gpto purchase, and each secondary interlocking weapon costs anadditional 500 gp.

    Each set of interlocking weaponshas a primary; all other weapons inthe set attach and detach from theprimary. The maximum number of secondary weapons that may bemade to attach to a primary is asfollows: one of the same handednesscategory (e.g. two-handed, one-handed, or light), and two of eachsmaller category. For example, alongsword that is the primary of aset of interlocking weapons couldhave another longsword and twoshortswords as the secondaries inthe set. When a secondary weaponis attached to the primary, it isconsidered stored; the primary gainsno benefit to attacks or damagefrom having secondaries attached.Attaching or detaching a secondary weapon from the primary is a freeaction. The GM has discretion if aweapon is suitable for being part of

    If someone makes a sunder attempt

    against the primary, the defendergains a +1 bonus per attachedweapon on the opposed roll.However, a successful sunderattempt results in a single damageroll, applied separately to theprimary weapon and each attachedsecondary.

    SURE GRASP (Feat)[GENERAL]You can wield a two-handed weaponsingle-handedly.Prerequisites: Str 16, Base attackbonus +5, Martial WeaponProficiency.Benefit: You can use a two-handedweapon as a one-handed weapon. If wielding a two-handed weapon inone hand while fighting with twoweapons, you take an additional -2penalty to all attacks made with thehand wielding the two-handedweapon.Special: A fighter can select SureGrasp as one of his fighter bonusfeats.

    FieryFlower

    (Minor Wondrous Item) Thisenchanted flower looks like a largetulip, with spiky orange-red petalsthat stand straight up. When eaten,it allows a character to throw fire asif under a produce flame spell, savethat throwing flames does notreduce the duration. Due to a minorflaw in the enchantment process,while under the effects of a fiery

    flower all of the characters clothingand equipment is colorized to be redand white.

    The Gi ofHeaven

    (Major Wondrous Item) Thismonks outfit is colored black, andwritten on the back in red is thesymbol for Heaven in the Infernallanguage. Though it looks odd, thisoutfit was worn for many years by apowerful dark monk on a quest formartial perfection. Despite havingbeen long since discarded by him, itretains a measure of his evilintent. A character with nomonk levels who wears thegi gains only a +1 profanebonus to attack rolls andAC. A monk character,gains a +3 profane bonus toattack rolls and AC, aswell as an additional +10ft. of speed.

    The greatest powerof the gi of heaven ,however, is that itallows a monkwearer topotentially slay an enemy instantly. Onceper day as astandardaction, thewearer may use the EnragedDemon technique. Thewearer must make a touchattack against the potentialtarget. It successful, theresa momentary blinding flashof light as the target ismentally attacked by their

    own sense of wickedness, making aWill save (DC 10 + the wearersmonk levels + the wearers Wisdombonus). On a failed save the victimtakes Wisdom damage equal to the

    attackers monk levels; if thisreduces the victims Wisdom to 0 orless, he dies. On a successful save,

    he takes Wisdomdamage equalto half the

    attackers monklevels instead.

    This is a mind-affecting effect.

    Wearing the gi of heaven takes up therobe/armor body slotfor magic items. Itbestows two negativelevels on any good

    creature attemptingto wear it. The

    negative levelsremain aslong as it isworn and

    disappearswhen it is no

    longer worn. These negative

    levels neverresults in actual

    level loss, but itcannot be overcome in

    any way (includingrestoration spells) while the

    gi is worn.

    (Major Magic Weapon) Unlike mostmagic gloves, the glove of power isonly a single glove, made for theright hand. A glove of power functions as a +2 gauntlet andopponents cannot use a disarmaction to disarm you of it. Attacksmade with the glove of power do notincur attacks of opportunity, asthough you had Improved UnarmedStrike.

    While wearing it, a character may use mage hand and spectral hand atwill. Twice per day the wearer may use interposing hand , and once perday he may use grasping hand .

    These powers are used as spelltriggers.

    Leaf of theRaccoon

    (Medium Wondrous Item) Createdby a cabal of druids, this spade-shaped leaf, when eaten, causes thecharacter to grow raccoon ears inaddition to his normal ones, and amatching tail (replacing any tail hemight already have), which remainfor 10 minutes. The characters

    clothing, including any magic items,are magically reshaped toseamlessly allow for the ears andtail, and change back when they disappear or if removed from thecharacters body.

    The extra set of ears grant thecharacter a +2 competence bonus toListen checks. The tail can beswung around as a secondary

    natural weapon that the character isautomatically proficient with, anddeals 1d6 points of bludgeoningdamage for a Medium character (thetail overcomes damage reduction as

    a magic weapon). A character may also make a Whirlwind Attack, asthe feat, with their tail. Finally, by wagging the tail up and downrapidly, a character may fly at twicetheir base land speed with averagemaneuverability, or may slow a fallas per feather fall . When so flying orfloating, the tail cannot be used as aweapon.

    Masamune(Epic Magic Weapon) This powerfulweapon has been held by many wielders over the centuries. The

    most recent was the villain Sefirahat the Battle of the Meteor, twocenturies ago.

    This large +7 keen greatsword of speed may be wielded by a Medium-sized creature without penalty. It isforged of an unknown material, andis treated as being both cold ironand adamantine for purposes of overcoming damage reduction;

    moreover, it ignores all hardnesswhen attacking objects.Masamunes greatest power,however, is that it strengthens thosewho wield it to their maximumpotential. The base attack bonus of character attacking with Masamuneis equal to their levels/Hit Dice. This

    applies only to attacks made withthe sword itself. If the wielderalready has a base attack bonusequal to their levels/Hit Dice, thenthe sword automatically confirms all

    critical threats.

    Mirror ofRestoration

    (Major Wondrous Item)Colloquially known as a savepoint, this 4" x 8" mirror is usually found sealed within a protective ironcase. The first time a player opensthe case and peers into the mirror,the mirror will capture the player'sexact image upon its surface,freezing it there. At this time a copy of the player's character recordsheet is made, carefully noting theircurrent hit points, experience,status, equipment, etc. If at anytimea less than favorable fate befalls theplayer, such as being turned tostone, reduced to a pile of ash, eatenby a purple worm, eaten by a bag of devouring, or simply contracting anasty disease, the mirror can besmashed in order to restore theplayer to their "saved" condition.

    The player, or whatever remains of them, vanishes from wherever they are and reappears near the spotwhere the mirror was smashed. Theowner of the frozen reflection canwill it to be erased in order to store a

    (Minor Wondrous Item) This magicmushroom has a white stalk and adark red cap with white spots. Wheneaten, it causes the character togrow as if under an enlarge person spell.

    Scorpion sSting

    (Moderate Magic Weapon) Said tohave been used by the ghost of avengeful ninja, scorpions sting is a+2 spiked chain (or whip) with aspecial power. As a standard action(the command phrase is get overhere!), the user can make an attackagainst a non-adjacent foe withinrange. If the attack is successful,the user may make an opposedStrength check against the victim. If successful, the victim is pulledadjacent to the attacker and isstunned for 1 round (this movementcan provoke attacks of opportunity from nearby creatures, but not theattacker). If the victim wins theStrength check, then he isnt movednor stunned.

    prismatic sphere offers protection,however, the offensive aspects of those spells is sacrificed in exchangefor mobility. The brilliance of thecloak, however, will cause any creature with fewer than 5 HD thatis within 10 feet of the cloak-wearerto be blinded for 2d4 rounds by thecolors if it looks at the cloak.

    The cloak can be destroyed, color by color, in consecutive order, by various magical effects; however, thefirst must be brought down beforethe second can be affected, and soon. A rod of cancellation or adisjunction spell destroys aprismatic cloak, but an antimagic

    field fails to affect it. Dispel magic orgreater dispelling cannot dispel thecloak or anything within it.Creatures that possess spellresistance can attempt to physically attack the wearer of the cloak, butthe caster level check is repeated foreach color present.

    Suit of theRaccoon

    (Major Wondrous Item) Created by the same cabal of druids responsiblefor the leaf of the raccoon , the suit of the raccoon grants the user more

    abilities than its less-powerfulcounterpart. The suit normally appears as a tiny wooden carving of a raccoon and upon a mentalcommand vanishes as a furry raccoon suit appears on thecharacter (taking up therobe/mantle/cape body slot; any of

    those materials already on when thecharacter activates the suit fall tothe ground in the characters space).Once activated, the suit cannot beremoved save for giving it another

    mental command, which turns itback into a carving.

    The suit has all the powers of a leaf of the raccoon, with a few additionalones. It grants the wearer a +5natural armor bonus. The suit alsoallows the wearer use a statue effecton himself for a total of 13 roundsper day.

    Strong transmutation [air]; CL 13 th ;Craft Wondrous Item, air walk , barkskin , magic fang , owls wisdom ,statue ; Price 200,000 gp.

    SummoningSpheres

    (Medium and Major WondrousItems) These red and white magicalspheres are a focus for improvedsummon monster spells. Initially,most summoning spheres are madeunbound, and most (75%) are alsofound in this state - being just amagical sphere with no specificsummoned monster attached to it.

    Unbound, these spheres can beused to capture and bind creaturessummoned using any of thesummon monster spells, or creaturesthat could normally be summonedby these spells. An attempt tocapture a creature with thesespheres is treated much like adismissal spell. The sphere wielder

    rolls 1d20 and adds his totalcharacter level, plus any bonusesfrom the sphere itself. The defendingcreature must make a successfulWill save, adding the creature's hit

    dice to the standard Will save roll,and must roll higher than thesphere wielder's check to avoidbecoming bound by the sphere. If the target creature makes the save,the ball fails to capture it, though itcan be used to make anotherattempt later.

    Once the summoning sphere has abound monster within it, it is

    treated as a summon monster devicewith a verbal command word(usually something along the lines of "I choose you!"). Whenever used, thesphere summons the same monsterthat was trapped within it originally.Normally a summoning sphere canonly be used once per day in thismanner.

    Summoning Sphere: +0 bonus oncapture roll.Moderate abjuration andsummoning; CL 7 th ; Craft WondrousItem, dismissal , planar binding ,summon monster III ; Price 12,000gp.

    (Minor Wondrous Item) Theoriginal vegetables of might weregrown by the same druids whocreated the leaf of the raccoon ,adding further evidence that they must have been smoking some of the more exotic forest plants whenthey were dreaming up new magicitems to create.

    A vegetable of might can be any kindof vegetable. If eaten, the vegetable cures 1d8+5 hit points of damage(this deals 1d8+5 points of damageto undead that eat it, assumingundead like to eat vegetables). Avegetable of might may also be usedas a thrown weapon. It has a rangeincrement of 20 feet and does 1d8points of bludgeoning damage,overcoming damage reduction as amagic weapon. However, after beingthrown once (regardless of whetheror not the attack was successful) itloses all of its magic properties.

    After being eaten or thrown, avegetable of might will leave 1d3

    seeds behind. These seeds may beplanted, and in 1d4 months eachseed will grow into a single newvegetable of might , which can bepulled out of the ground as a moveaction that provokes an attack of opportunity (the stalk of a grownvegetable of might can be recognizedwith a DC 12 Knowledge (nature)check).

    Faint conjuration andtransmutation; CL 5 th ; CraftWondrous Item, cure light wounds ,magic fang ; Price 500 gp.

    Keysword(Minor Artifact) This +4 longsword is shaped like a sword-sized key,and lets the wielder use arcane lock

    and knock at will. A keysword is atits strongest, however, when used tofight soulless foes. It automatically overcomes all forms of damagereduction when used againstconstructs and undead, and furtheris treated as having the disruption property, save that it also affects

    constructs and the Will save DC is16.

    Legends state that a keysword isactually not so much a weapon as itis a tool. Supposedly, it can open agateway to a kingdom of hearts,which is rumored to be where newsouls come from. Virtually noevidence exists to support this idea,however.

    GMs option: Those who have thekeysword in their inventory (whether wielded or not) gains anuncanny +3 bonus to all open lock checks.

    Mushroomof the

    Extra Life (Minor Artifact) This mushroomappears identical in all ways to amushroom of growth unlessexamined magically, and wheneaten has no discernable effect.However, if a character dies within

    one hour of having eaten amushroom of the extra life , he issubjected to a true resurrection spell1 round after having died. If thecharacter does not die within one

    hour of having eaten the mushroom ,then its magic is wasted. Acharacter may only benefit from onemushroom of the extra life at a time.

    GMs Option: Upon resurrection,there is a 50% chance that thecharacter will be weakened, thereby temporarily suffering 1 point of ability damage to strength,dexterity, intelligence, charisma,

    wisdom, and constitution. Thecharacter may attempt to overcomethis weakened state with asuccessful Fortitude save every other round (DC 20).

    Ribbon ofProtection

    (Minor Artifact) This seemingly ordinary pink ribbon is enchantedwith exceptionally powerfulprotective magic. It is tied around acharacters arm, taking up thebracelet slot for magic items on thebody. While worn, this ribbon makesa character immune to all forms of polymorphing, petrification, poison,disease, ability damage and drain,energy drain, death effects, andmind-affecting effects.

    GMs option: This pink ribbon alsoprovides a +5 luck bonus to allsaving throws.

    The SevenGems ofChaos

    (Major Artifact) These flawlessly-cut gems are each of a differentcolor. Supposedly made by anunknown deity of chaos as aresponse to the Thriforce, the Gemsof Chaos have myriad powers, butvery little is known about what they are truly capable of; legends about

    the Gems are often vague,incomplete, and contradictory.However, they all agree that themore of the Gems that are broughttogether, the greater their power(what powers they gain aredetermined by the GM).

    A character with even a single gemgains limited command over timeand space. The command phrase

    chaos controlled can be used toachieve any of the following effects:3/day haste, slow ; 2/day dimension door ; 1/day time stop . Acharacter with a Chaos Gem may also Quicken a spell or spell-likeability three times per day withoutaltering its casting time or spelllevel.

    A Chaos Gem can also act as a

    battery of magical power. It can beattached (or removed) to a magicitem as a move action that provokesan attack of opportunity, seamlessly integrating itself into the item.Magic items that expend charges nolonger do so when a Chaos Gem isattached; the Gem supplies the item

    with infinite power. Likewise, whenattached to magic weapons orarmor, a Gem grants a +2enhancement bonus as well as a +2bonus worth of special abilities(chosen by the GM; they should fitwith the theme of the item). Whenattached to a magic item, a Gem of Chaos cannot manifest any of thetime/space abilities listed above.

    TheThriforce

    (Major Artifact) The Thriforce is anancient artifact of unknown origin.Supposedly it is imbued with thepower of three creator goddesses.

    The Thriforce appears as threegolden triangles, arranged in such away that they form a single largertriangle. The Thriforce is rarely seenin this form, however, because each

    triangle represents a specific virtue:wisdom (Intelligence and Wisdom),courage (Dexterity and Charisma),and power (Strength andConstitution). If the completed

    Thriforce is touched by someonewho does not have these threevirtues in proportional amounts(their ability scores are not allequal), the Thriforce splits, with only the piece corresponding to thecharacters greatest virtueremaining; the remaining two piecesvanish to seek out hosts withcorresponding virtues.

    A character that possesses a Thriforce has it vanish, mergingwith his body. The only mundaneevidence of his possessing a

    Thriforce will be the Thriforcesymbol (all three Thriforces forminga single triangle) on the back of hisdominant hand. The one that hepossesses appears brighter than theother two. Characters who usedetection spells on one who

    possesses a Thriforce, such asdetect magic or true seeing , willalways see this symbolsuperimposed over the character;such massive power cannot be

    easily hidden. Using detect magic ona piece of the Thriforce itself revealsan overwhelming aura of all schoolsof magic.

    The death of a Thriforce possessorwill cause their Triforce to physically manifest, floating over their deadbody waiting to be claimed.Characters who only find one or twopieces of the Thriforce may claim

    them even if the pieces do notcorrespond to a characters ownhighest virtue. Historically, this hasled to possessors of an incomplete

    Thriforce seeking out the other twowith murderous intent. Someonewho possesses a piece of the

    Thriforce may make it leave theirbody and manifest physically as astandard action that does notprovoke an attack of opportunity.

    What additional powers a persongains when they possess thecompleted Thriforce are unknown,but all legends agree that thecompleted Thriforce is greater thanthe sum of its parts. Most rumorssay that a person who manages togain all three gains immortality, orperhaps even godhood itself.

    Thriforce of Power: The Thriforce of Power represents strength andphysical mastery. A character withits power is an elemental force of nature, unchecked in his might.Such a character gains the followingbenefits:

    +20 enhancement bonuses toStrength and Constitution.

    Damage reduction 20/epic.

    The character makes all of hissaving throws as Fortitude saves,regardless of what type of savingthrow is normally called for.

    The character may act normally when at 0 through -9 hit points;he still dies when reaching -10 orless, however.

    The character is automatically proficient with all weapons,armor, and shields.

    Thriforce of Wisdom: The Thriforceof Wisdom represents bothintellectual prowess and strength of will. One who possesses it hasintellect and insight rivaling those of the gods themselves. Such acharacter gains the followingbenefits:

    +20 enhancement bonuses toIntelligence and Wisdom.

    The character gains threebonuses spells of every level they can cast, in addition to any gained from the ability scoreincreases. If the character is nota spellcaster, they are now able

    to cast spells as a sorcerer (theGM determines their spellsknown) of their total hitdice/levels (but without theaforementioned bonus spells); inthis case, the character usesWisdom, not Charisma, as theirkey ability for spellcasting.

    The character makes all of his

    saving throws as Will saves,regardless of the type of savingthrow normally called for.

    The character may use any magicitem or artifact successfully, asthough they had rolled the bestUse Magic Device check possible

    Thriforce of Courage: The Thriforceof Courage represents skill andbravery. Someone with this

    Thriforce will find hope in even thebleakest of situations, and willpersevere against even impossibleodds. Such people tend to becomeheroes whose stories last forever.Such a character gains the followingbenefits:

    +20 enhancement bonus toDexterity and Charisma.

    The character gains a +10competence bonus to all skill andability checks, and may makeany skill check untrained.

    The character makes all of hissaving throws as Reflex saves,regardless of the type of savingthrow normally called for.

    The character gains spellresistance equal to their hit

    dice/levels plus 20. Additionally,he also gains improved evasion,uncanny dodge, and improveduncanny dodge, if he does notalready have them.

    The character is immune to allmind-affecting effects.

    Yenova sCorpse

    (Minor Artifact) Millenia ago, the

    woman known as Yenova appearedin the world. Her past was a mystery even then, as all divinations abouther mysteriously failed to function (acondition that continues to thisday), but her goals were clear.Power-hungry and evil, Yenovasought to become a being that wasas far above the gods as they wereabove mortals. Attempting to absorball of the magic in the world into her

    body was merely the first step in hermad designs. Luckily, heroesthwarted her plans and were able tokill her, but even in death Yenovaremains a threat.

    Yenovas Corpse appears as abeautiful, naked human woman.Other than her skin and hair havingturned a dull grey, her body showsno signs of decay. A DC 15 Heal

    check indicates that she seems tohave died within the last fewminutes, but a DC 30 Heal checkwill instead show that, in actuality,although shes been dead forthousands of years, her body isreacting as though only dead for afew minutes.

    Spells cast at Yenovas Corpse seemto simply fail; a DC 25 Spellcraftcheck reveals that they haveactually been somehow

    absorbed by her. If someonetries to physically attackthe corpse, they areautomatically targeted by one of the spells theCorpse has absorbedover the millenia (CL 20 th , GMs choice of spells). The truethreat of YenovasCorpse, however, is

    much more subtle.Anyone who touchesit directly automatically gainsthe Heir of Yenovatemplate; in thisway, Yenova keepssmall parts of herself active in the world.

    Yenovas Corpse hasno magical aura.

    Heir of YenovaHeirs of Yenova arecreatures whose bodies arecorrupted by the influenceof Yenova, the ancientmonstrosity from beyond thestars. Heirs of Yenova look likeordinary members of their kind,save for small oddities, such as slitpupils or oddly-colored hair.

    Yenova once attempted tomanipulate and absorb all of theworlds magic, and though shefailed, as a consequence her heirshave the ability to interact with

    arcane forces much more casually than normal creatures.

    Creating an Heir of YenovaHeir of Yenova is an acquired orinherited template that can beadded to any corporeal aberration,

    dragon, fey, giant, humanoid,magical beast, or monstroushumanoid (hereafter referred to asthe base creature).

    An heir of Yenova uses all the basecreatures statistics and abilitiesexcept as noted here. Do notrecalculate the creatures Hit Dice,base attack bonus, saves, or skillpoints if its type changes.

    Special QualitiesAn heir of Yenova has all the specialqualities of the base creature, plusthe following.

    Arcane Insight (Ex): Those of Yenovas blood understand magicintuitively. Spellcraft and Use MagicDevice are always class skills for anheir of Yenova, and they may usethem untrained.

    Dead But Dreaming (Ex): LikeYenova herself, heirs of Yenovaremain active on some level evenafter they die. An heir of Yenovamay be brought back to life by any sort of life-restoring magicregardless of how long its beensince they died. They never lose alevel or ability points for beingresurrected.

    Forced Obedience (Ex): Heirs of Yenova are bound to her, and find ithard to disobey the commands of those who are more in tune withher. An heir of Yenova takes a -5penalty to Will saves against spellsand effects from another heir of Yenova with greater hit dice thanthe base creature.

    Pierce the Shell (Su): An heir of Yenova is able to make attacks thatmagic cannot stop. These attacksignore all magical bonuses to armorclass, such as from spells and magic

    items. This may only be done withattacks that require an attack roll,and must be declared before the rollis made. An heir of Yenova may dothis a number of times per day equal to their Charisma bonus(minimum 1).

    Spell Resistance (Su): An heir of Yenova has spell resistance equal totheir HD + 5. This spell resistance

    does not apply against the spellsand spell-like abilities of heirs of Yenova with more hit dice than thebase creature.

    Spell-Like Abilities: An heir of Yenova with an Intelligence orWisdom of 8 or higher has spell-likeabilities, depending on its Hit Dice.

    These abilities are cumulative.

    Unless otherwise noted, an ability isusable once per day. Caster levelequals the heirs HD, and the saveDC is Charisma-based.
