On November 10th, Key Clubbers from divisions within California, Nevada, and Hawaii gath-
ered for Fall Rally South at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Division 38 West was in the first spirit
session. During the spirit rally, there was an auctioning of division representatives where we,
for the first time, were able to purchase our division’s LTG Rashika Choudhary, as well as the
DCON Chair, Peter Chor. All proceeds were donated to the Pediatric Trauma Program. Con-
grats Division 38 West! We did an amazing job at fundraising for PTP, and we made division
history. Let’s make the rally even greater and aim for the spirit stick next year!

In my opinion, Fall Rally was simply an experience that contained
such unimaginable standards of both the spirit and love for the Key
Club/Kiwanis organizations. This was my first time attending the
event, so it was obvious that I did not have a clear idea of what to ex-
pect, in fact, I thought we were not going to stay that long, because
the "rallies" I have attended in the past were not very known for being
so time-consuming as this one. But nonetheless, I had an amazing
time while I was there. I was able to meet and befriend Key Clubbers
from all around our district, coming from either other cities of Cali-
fornia, Nevada, and even Hawaii! After all that has happened during
the day, my favorite time of the rally was the nighttime, where every-
one just had fun doing spirit battles, "hug-fests", and as well as general
socialization. This event has gotten me utterly hooked onto the Key
Club spirit, and I wish to attend it for the rest of my high school ca-
reer, for the years to come! Jed Cangco

This year, I got a chance to experience Fall Rally from a different point of view. I assisted Josef
Madrigal with bidding in the auction for our division and I’m extremely glad that I did. Being be-
tween the enthusiastic stage and lively divisions rejuvenated my spirit. The excitement of the last
few seconds of the auctions we participated in was amplified when I was in the heart of the rally. It
was evident that the crowd’s animation rubbed off on me when I unhesitatingly cheered for our
first buy. This year’s rally definitely motivated me to raise even more money for PTP next year and
pass the energy I felt to other members because the divisions’ contagious spirit for service was what
made me fa l l in love with Key Club last year .

Club elections should ideally be in January so that the new board can select
delegates for Conclave. The offices that people can run for are President, Vice
President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Tech Editor. Elections will be handled by
the current club officers and club advisor (s). There aren’t many strict rules
regarding how elections should be handled, but each candidate should have a
set amount of time for a speech and a caucus session. Also, only paid dues
members can run for office and vote. Remember that elections aren’t a popular-
ity contest and that the winner should be the most capable of all the candidates.
CNH District | Region 5 | Division 38 West
Conclave is where we will be electing the new Lieutenant Governor for the
2012-2013 year. Clubs from each of the schools will bring 2 delegates to repre-
sent their school’s vote. Conclave will follow the same procedures as regular
club elections. The only confirmed detail at the moment is that it will be
on February 2, 2013.
