Unidade Didática de LEM – Língua Estrangeira Moderna – Inglês apresentada à SEED (Secretaria de Estado da Educação), como material didático resultante do PDE (Programa de Desenvolvimento Educacional), através das IES (Instituição de Ensino Superior) UEL (Universidade Estadual de Londrina), sob orientação do Prof. Lincoln P. Fernandes.

Esta Unidade Didática tem como finalidade a contribuição para o ensino de Língua Inglesa nas séries finais do Ensino Fundamental e tem como foco a aquisição de Vocabulário, tendo a tradução como importante ferramenta de ensino dentro da tipologia tripartite sugerida por Jakobson (1952/2000), a saber: (i) Intralingual (de uma L1 para a mesma L1), (ii) Interlingual (de uma L1 para uma L2) e Intersemiótica (tradução de signos verbais e não-verbais). Este material foi elaborado de acordo com as propostas contidas nas DCEs de LEM – Língua Estrangeira Moderna, tendo em vista o contexto sócio-econômico-cultural dos alunos das escolas públicas do Paraná.

Este material tem como tema os Super Heróis, focando na aquisição de vocabulário, em especial os Adjetivos, levando em consideração os interesses dos alunos dessa faixa etária, aquilo que gostam de ler e fazer, deixando-os à vontade frente aos desafios propostos.

Adjectives describe or give information about nouns or pronouns like ageage (young, old), sizesize (big, small), colorcolor (red, blue), opinionopinion (nice, beautiful, bad).

Adjectives don’t change in gender gender (female or male) and pluralplural.

In groups of 4 students, create your super hero. Use the adjectives that you’ve learned to describe him/her.

You can draw or use the computer to create through specific sites, as: www.zineacesso.com/2007/06/22/crie-seu-proprio-super-heroi/ or http://marvelkids.marvel.com/create_your_own_superhero.

After the creation of a super hero, the groups glue the draw in the classroom and will change the information between the others groups.

Each group will try to discover who the super hero is and glue the information in it.

MATERIAL: Cartazes com imagens de super-heróis conhecidos e tiras com características dos mesmos.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) A sala é dividida em 8 grupos. 2) Cada grupo recebe um envelope com as informações de um super herói e um dicionário.3) Os grupos deverão descobrir a qual super-herói pertencem às informações que receberam.4) Cada grupo colará as informações juntamente com o supor herói.5) O professor pode perguntar aos alunos quais informações facilitaram a descoberta do super herói e quais foram novidades.6) O professor coloca no quadro as palavras novas e elucida o significado com os alunos.

TEMPO: 40 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com as sinopses e figuras.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) os alunos, individualmente, lêem as sinopses utilizando a estratégia de leitura skimming para descobrir qual é o filme.2) Após descobrir o filme, eles enumerarão as figuras com as sinopses correspondentes.3) Em seguida, responderão em inglês ou português as informações específicas de uma sinopse.4) Após entender as características de uma sinopse, os alunos escreverão uma sinopse em português de um filme que tenham assistido.

5) O exercício seguinte será a tradução da sinopse para o inglês (tradução interlingual).

SUGESTÕES: Após a tradução da sinopse, os alunos podem acessar a Internet e buscar sites com as sinopses dos filmes que escolheram para fazerem uma comparação da linguagem do site com a que eles usaram.

OBSERVAÇÃO: Parte da atividade será feita como tarefa.

TEMPO: 20 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com os quadrinhos e as falas.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) Individualmente ou em pares, os alunos receberão o material com os quadrinhos e as falas.2) Os alunos deverão relacionar os quadrinhos com os balões contendo as falas (tradução intersemiótica).

TEMPO: 30 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com texto e questões de interpretação.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) Pré-reading: os alunos respondem algumas questões a respeito do tema: Super heróis.2) Após discussão das questões, os alunos passam para a leitura do texto.3) Reading: usando a estratégia de leitura skimming, os alunos retiram informações gerais do texto.4) Para a compreensão do texto, fazem uma leitura mais detalhada, scanning, possibilitando localizar e responder as questões sobre o texto.

AULA 3 E 4

Estas aulas são destinadas à parte gramatical: Adjetivos. O professor explicará o que são adjetivos, como são usados na Língua Inglesa, as diferenças de uso na Língua Portuguesa com a Inglesa, exemplificando através da atividade já feita na aula 1 (Warm Up).

TEMPO: 15 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com os textos sobre os vilões e uma tabela.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) Os alunos receberão o material com três pequenos textos sobre alguns vilões e farão a leitura inicial com objetivo de encontrar os adjetivos.2) Após a leitura, eles retirarão dos textos todos os adjetivos que encontrarem e completarão o quadro com os nomes dos vilões e seus respectivos adjetivos.

TEMPO: 15 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com explicações de alguns adjetivos dos vilões.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) Neste exercício, os alunos receberão uma atividade coma explicação de alguns adjetivos em inglês, retirados dos textos sobre os vilões e eles deverão descobrir quais são estes adjetivos. (Eles poderão acessar um dicionário on-line para auxiliá-los nessa atividade.) (tradução intralingual)

TEMPO: 15 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com figuras e adjetivos para serem relacionados.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) Nesta atividade, os alunos receberão material contendo figuras e adjetivos.2) Os adjetivos deverão ser relacionados com as figuras.3) Após o término da atividade, o professor chama a atenção dos alunos para a disposição das figuras que formarão opostos entre si. (tradução intersemiótica)

TEMPO: 20 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com figuras e adjetivos para serem relacionados.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) A atividade possui adjetivos com alternativas em formato de figuras.2) Primeiramente os alunos escolherão a figura que corresponda ao adjetivo da questão, escrevendo a letra S (Sinônimo).3) Após acharem as figuras correspondentes aos adjetivos propostos, os alunos deverão escrever na figura que represente o oposto a letra O e nomeá-las com os adjetivos correspondentes com auxílio de um dicionário. TEMPO: 10 minutos

MATERIAL: Material impresso com as palavras a serem procuradas ou quadro-negro.

PROCEDIMENTOS: Com o auxílio de um dicionário inglês-inglês ou on-line, os alunos procurarão os significados dos adjetivos propostos e os escreverão. (tradução intralingual)

TEMPO: 30 minutos.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com os super heróis e/ou um pôster com um super herói as suas características típicas.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) O professor apresenta, por meio de um pôster ou no material impresso distribuído aos alunos, um super herói e algumas de suas características típicas. (Obs. Se for por meio do pôster, as características podem ser apresentadas uma a uma colando tiras ou escrevendo-as no quadro com a participação dos alunos)2) Após apresentar as características, os alunos receberão materiais contendo as figuras de super-heróis diferentes dos que são conhecidos.3) Em pares, eles escolherão um nome para cada um deles e escreverá no mínimo quatro características para cada super herói.4) Ao final da atividade, algumas duplas escolherão um dos super heróis e apresentarão para a sala.

VARIAÇÃO: Esta atividade pode ser feita em grupos onde cada um recebe uma figura de um dos super-heróis propostos, fazem a descrição e apresentam para a sala em forma de cartazes.

TEMPO: 50 minutos a 1h30.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com as instruções e para criar os heróis.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) Em grupos, os alunos criarão seu super herói: desenho, super poderes, características. Os super-heróis podem ser desenhados ou criados no computador.2) Os grupos desenharão em cartolina e escreverão todas as características em inglês que puderem em tiras de papeis separados.

353) Os cartazes com os desenhos serão colados na sala e as tiras com as características dos super heróis, serão trocados entre os grupos.

AULAS 5 E 6

4) Cada grupo tentará descobrir a qual super-herói pertencem às características que receberam e colar junto a ele, como foi feito no Warm Up.

OBSERVAÇÃO: Parte da atividade será feita como tarefa.

MATERIAL: Material impresso com as instruções e para criar o gibi.

PROCEDIMENTOS: 1) A partir da criação dos super heróis e suas características, cada grupo criará uma história em quadrinhos com seu herói.2) Os alunos receberão as instruções e folha própria para a criação. 3) Após a criação, correção das falas, cada grupo terá feito um episódio com seu super herói. Estes episódios serão agrupados tendo como produto final de toda a unidade, um gibi da sala.
