Market Highlight
Gold futures were lower in Asian trade on Tuesday. On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1188.10 a troy ounce at time of writing down 0.05%. Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1186.60 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1180.20 and resistance at USD1204.70. US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.04% to trade at USD97.48.
Crude oil futures were lower during the Asian session on Tuesday. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for July delivery traded at USD60.22 a barrel at time of writing down 0.02%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD60.09 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD56.51 and resistance at USD60.70. US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.03% to trade at USD97.50. Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for July delivery shed 0.18% to trade at USD64.84 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD4.62 a barrel.
