ADSS 2018 Sponsorship & Exhibition Proposal

Kiora from the Conference Chair
On behalf of the Organising Committee, I welcome
you to the 2018 Australasian Dairy Science Symposium
(ADSS) to be held in Palmerston North, New Zealand
from 21st to 23rd November 2018, co-hosted by Mas-
sey University and AgResearch.
The ADSS is a biennial event held alternatively in Aus-
tralia (previously Sydney in 2016) and New Zealand
(previously Hamilton in 2014). It is the largest technical dairy science meeting in the southern hemi-
sphere.
The 8th Australasian Dairy Science Symposium has the theme “Dairy Science for Profitable and Sustain-
able Farming”, and keynote speakers from Europe and the Australasian region will focus on identifying
challenges, and developing solutions, to dairying in 2030.
Massey University has a long tradition in conducting research, teaching and education/training across
the dairy value chain, and ranks 22nd in the world for agriculture in the 2018 QS World Rankings.
AgResearch is the Crown Research Institute tasked with enhancing the value, productivity and profita-
bility of New Zealand’s pastoral, agri-food and agri-technology sector, of which dairying is a key com-
ponent. Over the years, these two institutions have collaborated and have been instrumental in the
generation of technical and scientific expertise currently delivering to the New Zealand dairy sector.
It is fitting that these two organisations come together bringing to you the 2018 edition of the ADSS
For international delegates, Palmerston North is well located in the central North Island, with lots to
see and do, as well as having great transport links to all major New Zealand cities. You might like to
plan ahead and bring your family for a holiday to experience the region, or visit other parts of New
Zealand.
We look forward to welcoming you in Palmerston North at ADSS2018 in November!
