If we are to embrace the concept that we should vary

our posture during the day, it is essential we have the

tools that will allow us to do this. The right chair is one

of these tools.

A sit –stand desk is a great place to start, as this opens

up so many postural options, but we see the importance of

not limiting your options to just two postures, sitting and

standing. Surely, once you accept that varying your posture

is important, there needs to be consideration given to other

functional postures that would add to the benefits of this

working style.

So what are you looking for?

A collection of “tools” that will allow you to adopt a number

of functional and different postures. In most working

environments these “tools” include a desk, a chair and a

monitor arm.

Ease of adjustment is the key, we all know we should be

varying our posture, but how often do we actually remember

to do it, or can we be bothered. The right products should

inspire us to movement, they should react to our body’s

need for movement. As we feel the need to shift in our seat,

as we lean forward, they should be able to react easily, be

adjusted easily, without thinking about what’s needed.
