DALCROZE NORTHWEST Seattle Dalcroze Intensive with Lisa Parker and Eiko Ishizuka Winter Dates: January 13-16, 2017 Lisa Parker is one of the top international teachers and ran the Dalcroze Program at the Longy School of Music for years. She has trained many Dalcroze teachers from North America and Asia. She received her Dalcroze training at the New York Dalcroze School under Dr. Hilda Schuster. In 1965 she earned the Diplome, the highest degree in Dalcroze studies at the Institut JacquesDalcroze in Geneva, Switzerland. She is a graduate cum laude of Smith College and received a MM from New England Conservatory of Music in Orchestral Conducting. She was conductor of the New England Conservatory Youth Singers for six years. Eiko Ishizuka has performed in Japan, Israel and the United States with a broad repertoire of classical and musical theatre music. She earned her Bachelor of Music from Kunitachi College of Music, Japan, and the Certificate and License in Dalcroze Eurhythmics at the Longy School of Music. She has studied piano with Yukiko Takeyama and Yuko Kido. She is a member of the Dalcroze Eurhythmics faculty at the Longy School of Music Conservatory Division in addition to WCMS. She was an accompanist for Shinonome Choir and Congregation of Jesus.
