The ‘Dancing In Distraction’ Factory explains the difficulty when it comes to defining a music videos – as many critics have different opinions of what they are.

The textbook explains how artists such as Michael Jackson and Madonna have recreated an image of themselves by going against the ‘definition’ of the perfect image made from society. Artists can now re event themselves through music videos. This shows a meta – narrative where the artist grows and changes through their music career thus developing their star image.
