- Traveled to Haiti to conduct a health needs assessment of an orphanage in
Hinche in order to identify priorities appropriate for intervention.
I submitted a proposal to the Yale Pediatric Global Health Track and
was awarded funding for this endeavor. The aim is to return to the
orphanage to implement an iron screening, deworming, and BLS
training program in the future.

- Served as the primary care physician for refugee children in an outpatient
clinic that served as their medical home as their families established
residency in the state of the Connecticut. I conducted the initial history
and physical examination upon arrival to the country, interpreted existing
medical records, developed immunization catch-up schedules, provided
medical documentation for green card qualification, and coordinated the
management of complex medical issues.
