Faler Creek Ranch is conveniently located 12 miles west of Pinedale, Wyoming, and one hour south of Jackson Hole, at

Daniel Junction off Highway 354. Pinedale is the county seat of Sublette County, which is named after William Sublette, a

mountain man and trapper in the area around 1820 – 1840. With a population of approximately 1,400 people in Pinedale and

about 6,000 in Sublette County, this charming western town is supported by local industries such as ranching, recreation,

tourism, oil and gas, logging and government. The Sublette County Airport is located approximately 17 miles from the

ranch and can handle most private jets on its 8,900-foot runway. Commercial service is available 1 hour from the ranch in

Jackson Hole and is serviced by Delta, United, American and Northwest Airlines. Rock Springs, is nearly 1¾ hours from

Live Water:

Nearby Live Water: The famous Green River is next-door to Faler Creek Ranch and is a very popular stretch of the river for float fishing. The

Daniel boat launch is only 2 miles from the ranch. This upper section of the Green also offers fantastic public walk-in areas

for wade fishing. Many anglers visiting the northwest part of Wyoming rank the Green River at the top of the list for fishing

destinations. The headwaters for the Green River are at the Green River Lakes located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest,

a short drive from the ranch. This area is pristine and scenic with blue skies and high mountain peaks.

The New Fork River is also floatable several miles south of Pinedale near Boulder before it joins the Green River. This

section of the river provides outstanding opportunities for a raft or drift boat. For hiking and equestrian adventures,

the high mountain lakes of the Wind River Range are excellent places to go for a day visit or extended camping trips to

experience several of the lakes and the many streams that the Winds have to offer. Several of the lakes hold golden trout, a

rare treat for the well-traveled angler.

Other fishing opportunities in the area include the Hoback River, 30 minutes north and the Snake River, 50 minutes north.

The South Fork of the Snake, Teton River, Fall River, Warm River and Henry’s Fork are fabulous Idaho fisheries, located

approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours from the ranch.


Wildlife and Hunting:Faler Creek Ranch is home to many mule deer and moose, as well as waterfowl, coyotes, red fox, badgers, rabbits, eagles,

hawks, osprey, songbirds and other small game. This region is rich in big game, and each fall hunters travel from all over

the world to Sublette County to enjoy some of the finest big game hunting that the great state of Wyoming has to offer.


Water and Mineral Rights:All water and mineral rights, owned by the seller and attached to the ranch, will transfer to an incoming

Sublette County abounds with recreational opportunities such as fishing, hunting, golfing, rodeos, horseback riding,

camping, hiking, climbing, biking, snow skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ice fishing.

Rendezvous Meadows Golf Course is located on the west edge of Pinedale, and White Pine Ski Area is east of Pinedale

This area is rich in history when it comes to the fur trade and mountain men. In 1825 the first Rendezvous, a gathering

place for trappers to trade and sell their furs, was held in Sublette County. These Rendezvous were moved each year and a

total of six were held in this area between 1825 and 1840 near present day Daniel, Wyoming, only a couple of miles from

Faler Creek Retreat. In Pinedale each summer, during the second weekend of July, the town celebrates with a parade and a

re-enactment of the Rendezvous with locals dressed up as mountain men and Indians. Much of this history can be enjoyed

with a trip to the Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale.

Each winter, a cross-country Sled Dog Race makes its way through Pinedale, as the teams traverse the Continental Divide

Snowmobile Trail, which connects the South Pass area of the Wind River Mountains with the Jackson Hole area. Teams

come from all over the country to participate. Enjoy numerous other activities year-round in Sublette County such as the

Ice Fishing Derby, Chili Cook-off, barbecues, parades, sailing regattas, County Fair, rodeos, black-tie fundraisers and many
