A Note from the DirectorAs I come to the end of this journey, I have to reflect on the experience

with a bittersweet feeling. I have been so blessed to have these eight wom-en with which to share this. We are all at different stages in our lives—and yet we seem to be able to empathize with each different situation presented on stage and off. In previous teasers, I’ve talked about the pieces of the show that audiences will relate to. Now, I leave it to you to find those pieces on your own. A lot of these situations are wholly female, but I hope that there will be a twinge of familiarity in our male counterparts, as well. We all—as human beings—deal with the same feelings of inadequacy, vul-nerability, and—YES!—joy. On a personal note, I want to give my thanks to Jeanne, Flyn, Stefanie, Gretchen, Sarah, Jenny, Lisa, and Chelsea for creating a family in eight short weeks. To quote a more famous musical: “I have been changed for the better.”

The dministrationChelsea Collier (Stage Manager) Chelsea thought being the stage manager for Alice guaranteed her a break from acting. She was mistaken (as you‘ll see). She has previously worked backstage on The Full Monty, Tuesdays With Morrie, Annie, and On Golden Pond. Favorite roles include Horatio in Hamlet, Wanda in Wanda’s Visit, and Maria in Sound of Music. She’d like to thank Lisa for her hard work, the Alices (and Adam) for giving her something to smile about, and Stephanie for letting her crash this party. Special thanks to her real life Alices - Linda, Mary, Betty, Rheann, and Kathy (her

mom and best friend).

Stephanie Keller (Director) First appearing with DLO in Pippin in 2003, Stephanie has made up for lost time by participating in more than 20 shows since. Favorite performances include Dolly in Annie Get Your Gun, Hunyak in Chicago, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, and most recently Minnie Faye in Hello, Dolly! In addition to perform-ing, choreographing and directing, Stephanie is no stranger to the backstage, either—stage managing several times. Stephanie’s first passion is singing and dancing, and she has the opportunity to share this with the area’s young people by directing and choreographing two successful DLO Youth Musicals. Stephanie will again “appear” as director this summer for the next youth show, “The Little Princess”. Currently serving as vice president of the DLO Board of Directors, Stephanie has set her focus on building a strong youth program and making DLO accessible for the entire community. Stephanie would like to thank the Ace gang for their courage, passion, and undying talent.

Lisa Osborne (Producer) Lisa is ecstatic to be a part of DLO in her first production assignment. She hopes to continue to be a part of the DLO family for a long time. A special shout-out to the awesome A-Team for making this a memorable experience and making me laugh until my sides hurt. Lisa would like to thank her friend Jason Asaad for encouraging her to become a part of theatre; not just a spectator and to Jeanne Dunn for “reeling her in.” A special thanks to her son Jacob for the many nights of soup and sandwiches on rehearsal nights.

The licesGretchen Wesner Gretchen is thrilled to be appearing in her third

DLO production, having previously been seen in Working and Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up. She has also been in Red Mask’s On Golden Pond, LPTC’s Alice in Wonderland, and DSO’s Sound of Music. When not performing, Gretchen heads up Marketing & Public Relations for Provena in Danville, and stays busy being mom to Samantha and Jack. Gretchen thanks Stephanie for this great opportunity, and is thrilled to be part of the A-Team with old friends and new. She sends special thanks to Tony, and the rest of

her family and friends for their support.

Flyn Williams was born into a theatrical family, and she loves watching her talented family perform just as much as she loves performing herself. Some of her favorite roles include The Baker’s Wife in DLO’s Into The Woods, and Amazing Mayzie in DHS/NRMS’s production of Seussical, the Musical. Flyn has also com-peted in county fair queen pageants, winning in the categories of Best Speech and Congeniality.

The ccompanistAdam Patrick Moore (Accompanist) Adam Patrick Moore makes an impressive debut tickling the ivo-

ries! Proficient on twelve instruments, Moore earned his bachelors degree in music ministry from Olivet Nazarene University and will pursue his masters degree in education at Indiana State Univer-sity. Moore is employed as music director for Bradley Wesley United Methodist Church, accompanist for numerous schools and theatre companies, and studio pianist with artistes representing various styles. Moore has performed on live television and radio,

throughout most of the United States including both coasts, and internationally in Europe and Canada. Moore spends his spare time composing music, writing poetry, weightlifting, visiting metros, and enjoying the single life.

The licesJeanne Dunn first performed with DLO in the ensemble of 2004’s

Blood Brothers. Seven years later, this well-rounded character actress has performed in ten DLO musicals, with her most memorable role to date being Fraulein Schneider in 2009’s Cabaret. She has also co-produced shows and serves on the DLO Board, but her proudest theatrical achievement was directing an outstanding cast in The Spitfire Grill last February. Her Alice performance is dedicated to her matriar-chal influences – her mother, Nancy Simpson; grandmothers, Caroline

and Alice; and in memory of Mrs. Maria Gentile, who touches her heart every day.

Stefanie LaReau is appearing in her sixth DLO appearance. Last seen on stage as the tender-hearted Shelby in The Spitfire Grill last February, she is blessed to work again with talented women and great friends. Favorite DLO roles have included Sister Amnesia in Nunsense, and Judy/Ginger in Ruthless. Perhaps her role as the zany checkout girl in Working was her most rewarding as this is where she made many of the close friends she still has today! Stefanie thanks her friends and family, past, present and future, for all the support they have given and will give throughout the years. GAH!!

Jenny Taylor has been involved in numerous productions with DLO since the late nineties. If she is not directing music, she’s playing trombone or running sound. Active involvement makes a life richer and Jenny is excited to be involved in DLO productions, the board of direc-tors, Danville Municipal Band, DMB board of directors, many activities at her church and especially her son Dakota’s life. She is excited to have him involved in another DLO production along side her.

Sarah Torbeck Between 1999-2005, Sarah Torbeck performed in 24 shows, including musicals, dra-mas, comedies, one-acts, children’s plays, and a madrigal dinner. She last appeared in TINY ISLAND (Heartland Theatre Company, Normal, IL), MARAT/SADE and PHEDRA (Illinois State Univer-sity Theatre). In 2002, she performed with the Bloomington High School theatre troupe at the American High School Theatre Fes-tival in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, as Mary ‘Mother’ Jones in THE KENTUCKY CYCLE: FIRE IN THE HOLE. After a five-year hiatus, Sarah is pleased to return to the theatre in her Danville Light Opera debut.
