Analysis & Interpretation:
According to survey of the respondents were of different age group. The investor of age below
20 was in no number. The investor of age 20-29 was 34 in number. The investor of age 30-39
were 7, 40-49 there were 17 investor, in between 50-59 there were 18 investor and above 60
were 24 investor.

Analysis & Interpretation:
In survey number of male respondents was more in number i.e. about 79% and the next position
has been occupied by female respondents, they are about 21% of the sample so mainly men
preferred to go for investments.

Analysis & Interpretation:
From the survey it was found that the respondents were of different occupations. Most respondents were
from service sector was about 42% of the sample. Respondents from the business were occupying 23%
then come professional with 15%. Students occupy 8%, retired people occupy 7.5% with household
occupying 5%.

According to the survey, the respondents of the income group of less than 1 lac were of 26%, respondent
were of income group between 1-2 lac about 42%. 24% of the respondent was of the income group 2-3
lac 8% respondents were of the income group more than 3 lac.1

All the respondents considered in the sample do invest their saving. Out of total sample, the respondent
going for investment were total in number with all the 100 respondents considered in sample were going

According to the survey, the different investment avenues opted by respondents were 33% of the
individuals preferring to bank deposits 16% of the individuals preferring to shares, respondents preferring
to mutual fund were 15% followed by insurance and real estate with 13% and 7% resp.

Analysis & Interpretation: From the above graph it was cleared the respondent gives maximum
importance to attractive returns at the time of making investment in mutual fund. 16% considered tax
planning, 9% liquidity,7% considered flexibility and diversification. Less importance is given to
transparency. 24% considered all the reasons for investing in mutual fund. There is difference between
sample size and number of respondent because multiple answers were invited.

Analysis & Interpretation:
Based on the survey it was found that the respondent would definitely prefer Birla sun life and Reliance
as compare to other brands of mutual funds. With Birla in the lead with 33%,then Reliance with 26%, SBI
and HDFC with 12% , UTI with 11% and HSBC with 6%From the figure it is clear that 43% of the
respondents invest in endowment policy, 27% in whole life policy. Only 18% and 12% prefer the term
insurance and money back policy respectively.

42% was satisfied because of less investment risk, 24% because of flexibility, 18% because of
fixed and regular income and 16% due to liquidity. Majority was satisfied from there investment

Above Figure shows, that 72% of the respondents were properly guided by the AMC Only 28%

According to the survey, it was cleared that most of the respondents were willing to invest in
mutual funds in the future also because of the benefit of returns, flexibility attached with it. But
10% were not interested in making investments because of dissatisfaction derived from it.

From the survey, it was found that 66% of the respondents believed that the future of mutual
fund industry was bright. 16% feel it was risky avenue. 10% believed that it was growing slowly.
No body feels that their future was going to dark. So steps can be taken to make the people more
aware about these funds so that these funds can have bright future.
