Crea%ve  Brief:  Storyboard  for  Datemyschool    

 Who  are  we  talking  to:  Current  students  and  recent  graduates  aPending  Ivy  League  schools.  They  are  Fred  of  meeFng  people  who  they  do  not  connect  with  and  worry  they  will  never  meet  anyone  who  will  challenge  them  in  life.        What  do  they  think  /  feel  /  do  now?  DaFng  websites  are  full  of  people  who  I  could  never  connect  with.  I  think  it’s  a  waste  of  Fme.  

What  do  we  want  them  to  think  /  feel  /  do  in  the  future?    I  may  be  able  to  find  someone  worth  my  Fme  on  this  site.  I  think  I  would  be  able  to  relate  with  someone  well  educated  and  maybe  even  enjoy  the  date.      Insight:    Intelligent  people  have  high  expectaFons  of  what  they  desire  in  their  partner.  This  makes  finding  the  right  match  more  challenging.

Penny has a nervous expression on her face.

Penny: I can't believe I'm going on a date with the guy living upstairs.

They exchange awkward smiles.

Sheldon: Hi Penny, please come in. Penny: Hi Sheldon. It's good to see you again.

Penny: Wow. Looks like some serious stuff. Did you do this?

Penny's face brightens up, she tilts her head, looking confused.

Sheldon: Yeah, well, its just some quantum mechanics with a little string theory doodling around the edges.

Sheldon shrugs his shoulders like its no big deal.

Penny is impressed but starts to feel out of place.

Penny: Wow, so you're like one of these beautiful mind genius guys.

Sheldon speaks out proudly.

Sheldon: Yeah, I have a master, two doctorates, and I work at Caltech.

Penny has an ashamed look on her face.

Penny: Wow. Well, I work at the Cheescake factory.

Silence with background noise (sirens,etc).

- Awkward silence -

Whirling background music.

In a coffee shop, Amy approaches Sheldon, standing near the counter.

Background chatter and noise.

Amy: Hi, I'm Amy Farrah Fowler and you are Sheldon Cooper.

Sheldon stares rigidly at her.

Amy: Just so you know, I am here because I have an agreement with my mom that I will date at least once a year.

Sheldon: Interesting, my mom and I have the same agreement about church... So how was your day?

Amy: My most recent paper on how a cooperative long-term potentiation can map memory sequences in dendritic branches made the cover of Neuron.

Amy speaks out proudly.

Both gaze at each other with a sparkle in their eyes.

Love song begins to play in the background.

Sheldon: Interesting. May I buy you a beverage? Amy: Tepid water, please.

Sit down facing each other at a table.

Sheldon: How do you feel about signing relationship agreements?

Both start smiling.
