Report on PHYSICS PROMETHEUS
An intercollege event, ‘Physics Prometheus’ – an online quiz, was organized on September
26, 2020, at 5 pm, by Physithon – The Physics Society, Department of Physics, Kalindi College
under the convenorship of Dr. Seema Gupta and Teacher Representatives, Dr. Rashmi Menon
and Dr. Triranjita Srivastava. The theme of the quiz was “General Physics”. The quiz was
developed on Quizizz App or www.quizizz.com. The quiz was time-dependent and the
questions were in the form of MCQ, True/ False, identification of pictures and phenomenon.
In this event, total 98 students participated. Out of which 51 students were from various
institutes/universities from Delhi and outside Delhi, like Netaji Subhas University of
Technology, Allahabad University, Graphic Era University, Kachchh University, M S Ramaiah
University of Applied Sciences, Bharti Vidyapeeth University, and different colleges of
University of Delhi, such as Sri Aurobindo College, Daulat Ram College, Moti Lal Nehru
College, Kirorimal College, Miranda College, Maitreyi College, Swami Sharddhanand College,
etc. And 47 students belong to Kalindi College. Top three participants were awarded with a
merit certificate, and all the other participants received a certificate of participation.

🔴 Participants will get a time period of 25th September (5 pm)- 28th September (5 pm) for
making and editing the video.
🔴 The deadline for submission of the video is 28th September at 5 pm. No videos will be
accepted after the stipulated time.
🔴 The video should be no longer than 5 minutes.
🔴 The voice-over for the video should be clear and audible.
🔴 Videos should be original. Any sort of plagiarism will result in disqualification.
🔴 If the time limit is exceeded, then the entry will be disqualified.
🔴 The video will be judged by our Teachers Panel as the judges.

Report on COLLOQUIUM.mp4
An online event, ‘COLLOQUIUM.mp4’ – a video making competition, was organized from
25th September (5pm)- 28th September, 2020 (5pm) by Physithon – The Physics Society,
Department of Physics, Kalindi College under the convenorship of Dr. Seema Gupta, and
Teacher Representatives, Dr. Rashmi Menon and Dr. Triranjita Srivastava. The theme of the
competition was “Physics from Home”, which was announced on 25th September, at 5pm.
The theme of this competition is to show physics at home using their home materials.
The participants were free to use any software or app for the recording and editing their
videos. Students from various courses like B.Sc. (H) Mathematics, B.Sc. (PS) and B.Sc.
(H) Physics took part in this competition.
This event had a teamed as well as individual participation in which three teamed pairs and
five individual participants took part. A total of 9 participants participated in the event.

Report on FUTURE.LY
‘FUTURE.LY’– an online career counselling session was organized on 29th October at
5:00 PM by Physithon – The Physics Society, Department of Physics, Kalindi College
under the convenorship of Dr. Seema Gupta, and Co-Conveners, Dr. Rashmi Menon and
Dr. Triranjita Srivastava. The counselling was done by Mr. Sanjay Dhingra, CEO of Career
Lever.
The session was primarily organized for the final year students so that they can clear their
doubts regarding their future endeavors. The session started with Mr. Dhingra giving
detailed insights on the various fields that the students can opt after their graduation. The
session was concluded with a question & answer session wherein the students cleared their
doubts regarding career choices.
About 80 students from various courses - B.Sc. (H) Mathematics, B.Sc. Physical
Science and B.Sc. (H) Physics had joined the session. The event was successful as the
students were quite satisfied with the information they had received during the session and
somewhere got some beautiful ideas to work upon in future.

Challenges of Online Mode of Education
An online event “Challenges of Online Mode of Education” was held on Dec. 2, 2020
at 5pm, organized by Physithon - The Physics Society under the Convenership of Dr. Seema
Gupta and co-conveners; Dr. Rashmi Menon and Dr. Triranjita Srivastava. The speaker of the
event were:

A total of 55 students were present in the event. Both the speakers very well explained the

Report on “ART ATTACK- POSTER MAKING COMPETITION”
Art Attack – A poster making competition was held online as part of “Kugelblitz’21” on 30th
January on Google Meet. It was coordinated by Dr. Mazhar Ali. The event was organized to
encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and bring out the artist inside them.
A total of 42 students had participated from different colleges - 16 students were from various
colleges of University of Delhi and 26 students from Kalindi College. Students were provided with
a topic on the spot and they were given 1 hour to complete the posters.
The link for the event was shared at 9:30 am. The event was hosted by Ms. Tanisha Chabbra, the
Secretary. The themes were announced at 9:50 am in the meeting as well as on the WhatsApp
group. The participants had to submit their content by 11:10 pm through email –

Report on JUST MY TYPE- A Creative Writing Competition
JUST MY TYPE- A Creative writing competition was held on 30th January, 2021 at 11:00 am.
In this competition, participants were given a list of personae to choose from. The participants
then had to write what would they do/have done if they were the persona they chose. This event
was coordinated by Mr. Ankur Anand.
In total 43 participants had registered out of which 21 participated in the event. 14 students
were from Kalindi while 7 students were from outside of Kalindi college.
The link for the event was shared at 10:30 am. The event was hosted by Ms. Nitya Jain, the
Technical and Social Media Head. The themes were announced at 10:50 am in the meeting as
well as on the WhatsApp group. The participants had to submit their content by 12:10 pm

mins to speak on the topic.

Report on “Exchange Kinematics- Quiz and Extempore Competition”
Exchange Kinematics- Quiz and Extempore Competition organized by Physithon- The Physics Society
as part of an online event KUGELBLITZ’21, was held on 30th January, 2021 at 12:30 pm. The
event was organized to encourage students to look beyond their textual knowledge and improve
one’s learning of things in specific areas. The competition consisted of two rounds. The first round
was a quiz conducted on the Quizziz App. Top 10 participants from the first round proceeded to
the next round – the extempore round. Ms. Varsha Yadav was teacher coordinator of the event.
A total of 39 students had participated. 13 students were from various colleges of Delhi University
and 26 students were from Kalindi College.
In extempore round each selected student was provided with a topic on the spot and they are given
5 minutes to think and next 5 minutes to speak. The extempore round takes confidence, focus and
clarity. The objective behind this round was to enhance the capability of one’s public speaking. It
boost confidence, improve communication skills and help to create personal development. Every
participant did a great job, they spoke very well on the provided topic within the time limit.
The event was judged by Dr. Rachana Kumar and Dr. Pushpa Bindal.
The winners were rewarded with cash prizes and Merit Certificates.

unlocked and rest four password protected).
✅The first PDF will contain a riddle the solution of which will be the password for the
next PDF and so on.
✅The participants will be required to solve the puzzle and report the answering the
Google form link that will be provided at the bottom of each PDF before proceeding to the
next PDF.
✅Each team can avail one hint throughout the competition which will be given to them
personally through their WhatsApp.
✅The team that unlocks all 4 PDFs first and submits the answers in Google forms will
win the competition.

Report on RIDDLE RACE
RIDDLE RACE- An online riddle competition was held on 30th January, 2021 at 2:00
pm. In this competition, participants were e-mailed 5 password protected PDFs. Each
PDF contained a riddle which had to be solved, the answer of which was the password
for the next PDF. The first 3 participants/team who solved all the riddles quickly were
declared as winners. Dr. Aravind Kumar was teacher Co-ordinator of the event.
The participants could participate in teams of 2 or as individuals. A total of 94
students from various colleges had participated. The PDF riddles were e-mailed to all
the participants at 2:00pm. The riddles were made by the team and were not searchable
on the internet. The leading participants were being tracked by answers from
participants in the Google forms at the end of each PDF. The event went on for 1.5
hours and the top 3 finalists were declared on the spot.
The winners were rewarded with cash prizes and Merit Certificates.

Rules and regulations:
1️⃣: The Participant should stay online and logged in on Google meet throughout the poster
making competition.
2️⃣: Participants will get “1️ hour” for the poster making competition.
3️⃣: The themes for the poster making competition will be “Anti tobacco” based it will be
announced on the spot.
4️⃣: The poster should be made on “A4️” size paper. Participants can use any type of
paint,sketch,colour,etc.

REPORT ON - ALUMNI TALK
An online Alumni Talk was held on 24th April, 2021 at 5pm, organized by Physithon - The
Physics Society under the Convenership of Dr. Seema Gupta and co-conveners; Dr. Rashmi
Menon and Dr. Triranjita Srivastava. The speaker of the event were:
➢ Ms. Bhawna Arora (Batch of 2014 – B.Sc (H) Physics – Kalindi College)
➢ Ms. Vernika Mehta (Batch of 2015 – B.Sc (H) Physics – Kalindi College)
Ms. Ritu Vyaghrambare (Batch of 2015 – B.Sc (H) Physics – Kalindi College) could not attend
due to a personal emergency.
