ગરુુ પરૂ્ણિમા ગરુુ કોને કહવેાય ?

શ્રીમદ ભાગવતમાાં કહ્ુાં છે કે:

અનાદદકાળથી અવવદ્યાથી યકુ્ત મનષુ્ય સ્વયાં આત્મજ્ઞાન પ્રાપ્ત કરી ન શકે તેથી તેને કોઈ તત્વજ્ઞ ગરુુ પાસેથી જ્ઞાન પ્રાપ્ત કરવાની આવશ્યકતા રહ ેછે.

આવા તત્વજ્ઞ ગરુુ કોને કહવેા તે અંગે કુલાર્ણવ તાંત્રમાાં ભગવાન વશવજી સ્વયાં દેવી પાવણતીજીને કહ ેછે, “વશવથી લઈને પથૃ્વી સધુી જે છત્રીસ તત્વોને જાર્ ેછે ત ેપરમ ગરુુ કહવેાય. પીંડ અને બ્રહ્ાાંડની એકતાનો અનભુવ કરનારને ગરુુ સમજવો, બીજો નદહ. જે પદ્માસન આદદ ચોરાસી પ્રવસધ્ધ આસનોની વવવધ તેમજ પ્રયોગ જાર્ે છે અને યમ વગેરે યોગના આઠેય અંગોને યથાથણ રીતે જાર્ે છે તે વવચક્ષર્ પરુુષને પરમ ગરુુ સમજવો.

મહામદુ્રા, ખેચરીમદુ્રા, ત્રીબાંધોને વવવધ અને પ્રયોગથી જે જાર્ે છે તે પરમ ગરુુ કહવેાય છે. યોનીમદુ્રાની બાંધનવવવધ દ્વારા જેને માંત્રચૈતન્યની અનભુવૂત થાય છે તેને ય ાંત્રો અને માંત્રોના યથાથણ સ્વરૂપનુાં જ્ઞાન થાય છે તે ગરુુ કહવેાય છે. મલૂાધારથી બ્રહ્રન્ર પયંત સાત ચક્રો હોય છે. તેમાાં જે જીવરૂપ કુાંડલીનીને સફળ રીતે કાયાણન્ન્વત કરાવી જાર્ે છે તે ગરુુ છે.”

યોગ કુાંડલીની ઉપવનષદમાાં લખ્યુાં છે કે, જેમની પાસેથી આ ખેચરી વવદ્યા પ્રાપ્ત થાય તેમને વશવસ્વરૂપ માનીને ગરુુ તરીકે સ્વીકારવા. કુલાર્ણવ તાંત્રમાાં શ્રેષ્ઠ ગરુુ વવષે લખ્યુાં છે કે, “ ગરુુ સાક્ષાત સદાવશવ છે, તેમાાં સ ાંદેહ કરવા નદહ. જો ગરુુ વશવસ્વરૂપ ન હોય તો ભનુ્ક્ત અને મનુ્ક્ત બાંને એકી સાથે કેમ મળે?

આપર્ા આદદ ગરુુ ભગવાન વશવજીના ૨૮માાં અવતાર લકુલીશજી છે અને માનવગરુુ પજૂ્ય સ્વામી રાજવષિ મનુીજી છે. તે ઉપરની વ્યાખ્યામાાં બરાબર ફીટ થાય છે.

તો આવો આપર્ે સાથે મળીને ગરુુ પરૂ્ર્િમાના પવવત્ર પ્રસાંગે બાંને ગરુુઓનુાં ભન્ક્ત ભાવથી પજૂન અચણન કરી કૃતાથણ થઈએ.

Who can be called a Guru?

Lord Shiva speaks to Parvati about who may be called a tattva-knowing Guru

in these terms in Kularnav Tantra: 1) One who knows the essence of thirty-

six tattvas determined by Agam sutras from Shiva to earth is called the

supreme Guru. 2) One who has experienced the oneness of the subtle body and

the cosmos, and knows the number of channels and bones, hairs present in

the body. 3) One who knows the procedure and practice of padmasan etc.

eighty four asans, and in essence knows yama etc. all the eight limbs of yoga,

know that far-seeing Purush to be supreme Guru. 4) One who knows the

procedure and practice of Mahamudra, khechari mudra, the three bandhas.

5) One who experiences mantra chaitanya through the bandhan procedure

of yoni mudra gains the true knowledge of yantra and mantra. 6) One who

knows how to successfully activate the jivarupa (embodied) kundalini in the

seven petalled lotuses from the muladhar to brahmrandhra is a Guru.

Yoga Kundalini Upanishad says, “One who knows the Divya-yoga or the

khechari is considered to be a form of Shiva who is the highest Guru. One

should search the whole earth in order to find such Guru.

Keeping such a Guru in view, the Kularnav Tantra also states: “Guru is verily

Sada-Shiv himself, which is the truth. If Guru is not Shiva-rupa, how can he

confer bhakti (prosperity) and mukti (liberation) at the same time?”

It should be understood that the transcendental Shiva beyond the Gunas

himself is present in the Guru.

This discussion is sufficient for understanding the nature of the Guru that

human effort should be directed to securing. Our Guru Swami Rajarshi Muni

best fits into this definition as initiated by Lord Lakulish into Divya- yoga in

1993.

Let us all get together to worship such Guru on the day of Guru Purnima for

our spiritual upliftment.
